True, but truer for the right than the left. Let's go from the premise that all administrations "work" their unemployment numbers, with Obama using the same system that's been in place for decades. This means that all comparisons are valid, cheating or no cheating on real numbers.
When Obama assumed power in February 2009, rate was 7.8%. 9 months later, it reached 10%. No honest person would attribute that rise to 10% to Obama after only 9 months in office. It was the tsunami that followed GWB's disastrous turn at the helm that moved unemployment numbers north. Today, it's 7.3%, a net improvement and getting better. Yes, Rogue, I know, I know, they are "worked-over" numbers. If that is the case, please don't forget to factor that into GWB's figures.
Yes, Obama got reelected with those bad numbers that was directly linked to Bush/Cheney 8 years of corporatism.

After September 11, 2001 all Democrats supported Bush/Cheney policy.

After the 2008 Financial Meltdown all unpatriotic Republicans made Obama go it alone and instead of helping main street and passing a liberal single Payer Obama passed a Republican healthcare bill without any republicans.

Obama passed Romneycare which it is my understanding that Romney did not have any cost effective plans so all the people in Massachusetts are paying high health care cost.

I STILL CANNOT GET PAST THIS Jacques:

FDR helped main street and so did LBJ.

Obama did the same thing as Bill Clinton by passing Rightwing Republican policies like NAFTA, Iraqi Liberation Act, 1996 Telecommunications Act, Gramm/Leach/Bliley which all destroyed Middle Class Americans and yet Rogue keeps saying how great Newt Gingrich was for passing a balanced budget.

The only difference is Bill Clinton had a lot of help from all rightwing Newt Gingrich Republicans and Obama passed Rightwing Republicans policy with all Democrats.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TOO ME!

A Failed Vote on Breaking up Banks
May 7, 2010 / http://tinyurl.com/27lbqjq
The Senate last night voted on a financial reform amendment that, although probably never having a real shot at passing, gives us a unique chance to see in the stark relief the divisions in both parties on truly reining in the “too big to fail” banks.
The amendment, a version of the SAFE Banking Act sponsored by Sens. Sherrod Brown [D, OH] and Ted Kaufman [D, DE], would have placed strict size caps on banks and non-bank financial companies. In practical terms, it would have forced the breaking up of some of the Wall Street corporations. Instead of consolidating like they have been doing for the past 20 years, banks like Bank of America and Chase would have been forced to sell some of their branches off to smaller regional banks over a period of three years.

Top Focus Before 9/11 Wasn't on Terrorism
Rice Speech Cited Missile Defense
April 1, 2004 /
On Sept. 11, 2001, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice was scheduled to outline a Bush administration policy that would address "the threats and problems of today and the day after, not the world of yesterday" -- but the focus was largely on missile defense, not terrorism from Islamic radicals.
The speech provides telling insight into the administration's thinking on the very day that the United States suffered the most devastating attack since the 1941 bombing of Pearl Harbor. The address was designed to promote missile defense as the cornerstone of a new national security strategy, and contained no mention of al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden or Islamic extremist groups, according to former U.S. officials who have seen the text.

Let me explain it another way for you. The Congressional Globe records the proceedings of both the House and Senate. It is analogy to a court reporter who records the the testimonies in a court.

And as I explain it before the statements of the members of the House or Senate in the debates are irrelevant.

"The arguments of individual legislators are no proper subject for judicial comment. They are so often influenced by personal or political considerations, or by the assumed necessities of the situation, that they can hardly be considered even as the deliberate views of the persons who make them, much less as dictating the construction to be put upon the Constitution by the courts." Downes v. Bidwell, 182 US 244, 254 (1901)

"The remarks of a single legislator, even the sponsor, are not controlling in analyzing legislative history." Chrysler Corp. v. Brown, 441 US 281, 311 (1979)

The power is in the conference committee in both chambers deciding what stays in and what goes out of a Bill.

99 times out of a 100 what is good for corporate America stays in or is put in.

Porky Pig would be proud.

After we fix the economy, then we should concentrate on health care reform. If we took out thousands of rules, regulations and taxes and we increase the number of people working by eighty percent, then we could get a plan to work. A plan like ObamaKare can not work when 49% of the population is taking money from the government and only thirty percent is putting money into the government.

YOU however would rejoice if our oil ran out and we had huge monetary problems. First of all, oil is only part of our equation and there is no chance we'll be "done" either way. Sorry to disappoint;
Number 2.: Calling your president names is not exactly helping your lost cause. And the present U.S. economic situation is much improved since GWB left his house in such incredible disorder. The roof had caved in, the basement was flooded, furniture was ruined, electricity was out, no plumbing, when the new tenant, Barack Obama arrived on the scene and moved in. Things are much better now, roof is replaced, basement is almost dry, almost all furniture has been repaired or replaced and electricity and water are back on. In the next three years, as the economy continues to improve, you and your ever-increasing frustrated pitiful birther ilk will work harder than ever to find more negative trivia on Obama, his wife and daughters. But, hey, wait, you'll have to switch your vomit to either Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.
