Japan's making wings, yes. So? You think the U.S. should manufacture 100% of ALL its goods? You can be sure, though, that if Boeing is doing it, it's because it's cheaper and better quality AND, being such an expensive machine, countries building components are "risk sharers" Japan is just that, and therefore gets wings work. 65% of the 787 is built mostly in Japan, Australia and Italy, did you know that?
