You keep making it up and immediately believing it. Did you go before 1965? In 1965, the minimum wage was $7.50 and hour. Check it out.

As to Canadian money, the rate in 1965, 48 years ago, was $1.07 Cdn to $1.00 U.S., practically same as it is today. You had a 7 cent premimum of our money. Of course, your saying that "I really didn't want 19.90 worth of Canadian money" only highlights your total ignorance of currencies as the Cdn dollar has always been, and to this day, totally and freely convertible.

Also, you keep making it up as you go. Two things would happen if you handed a $20 bill to any store clerk in Canada, in 1965 or today. He would politely refuse it and tell you to exchange it at the bank first as he/she only accepts Cdn currency , OR, he/she would screw you on the exchange rate and you'd walk away a loser. But you ARE a loser, so no change there.

I'll never forget the time I met an SSG man while having a couple pints at a university watering hole, He thought he had engaged me in conversation wherein I would make an admission of some sort. I led him on mercilessly, and then at the punch line I just stopped, staring at him, coldly, persistently, memorizing his facial features. His boss, whose face I never saw, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and marched him right out of the bar. Months later, after an article I wrote appeared in the university newspaper, exposing their inept escapade, a much more diplomatic silver haired gentleman, at the same establishment, explained to me that there really are some "bad guys" out there. Apparently they realized their goof - not an apology, but I accepted it.
Never had the pleasure. Then again... I am cautious.

I have been a "part" of ops that people were visited.

Which is how I know exactly what happens when the suits arrive.

One was just a kid... maybe 16 or 17. He was duped into believing a proxy made him invisible.

They did have the decency to put their weapons back in their vehicles after they realized they were dealing with a kid. But that was the extent of their kindness.

The kid DDOSed the absolute hell out of a particularly evil bank. Shut them down for hours.

He was the only one charged that I know of. But a lot of people ended up with NSLs. Most framed them. I think he was charged because he logged the most hits. Which as you are probably aware is a matter of random chance.

He did a few months and got a year of probation to boot. Along with the stipulation that he was not to access the internet for the duration of his probation.

If the kid would have been told to jump a bus to a coffee shop, he would have been fine. But this was a very chaotic group, sometimes protecting your people falls to the wayside when the op-admins are less than responsible.

I think you need to take a second look at JFK. He was not someone that the current democrat party would elevate to the highest office, or even allow any position of power in the party. For starters he was anti-communism and democrats today are essentially communists. He was for lowering taxes and bolstering private sector growth and profits, which no democrat supports today. He was not thrilled about the civil rights movement, as his own brother Bobby through the justice department was spying on MLK and considered him a rabble rouser. He believed in a strong military and would never have approved of the social engineering taking place today lead by democrats. He hated the unions and the democrats today are enslaved to that movement. He was most likely pro-life as it was one of his Supreme Court appointments that was one of the two dissenting votes on Roe v Wade, and believed most Americans would be repulsed at the thought of abortion as a form of population control. He also believed that America was truly a great nation and projected a strong national image of unique American excellence vs. the communist and other nations around the world. Something no current democrat would say or speak of, especially our current Liar in Chief.
JFK was nothing even close to what the democrats are today.
Today,in 2013, JFK would be carried aloft on the shoulders of 99.9% of democrats. Of course, and what with today's cyber world and not-as-friendly-as-the-1960s press, he would have to cut his womanizing.

I find your accusing today's democratic party of communism very strange, weird, to say the least. Would you care to give one example and tell us which countries on this globe, apart from North Korea and Cuba, are still communistic.

JFK was pro-life? You're reading his mind now? That was 1953, for heaven's sake, when abortion was illegal and done in back alleys for the poor and middle class and clean hospitals and clinics in Europe for American rich. Today, I have no idea what he would be and neither do you.

Another quote from you : "He also believed that America was truly a great nation and projected a strong national image of unique American excellence vs. the communist and other nations around the world. Something no current democrat would say or speak of, especially our current Liar in Chief." Yes , JFK was all that. Are you trying to tell me that Obama, in spite of some foibles, and he has done so in good faith, does not believe in the U.S., does not believe that his nation is still a world leader? Is that what you are saying? Can you give us some examples? Well, one will suffice.

JFK was anti-nothing. He was not anti-communist, he was pro-American and WAS rightfully wary of the USSR.

From Democratic underground.com .

"JFK on unions: "Those who would cripple collective bargaining do a disservice to democracy.

August 9, 1960. The words reach across the past half century and speak eloquently tonight to the "dreamers" about the next half century:

Those who would destroy or further limit the rights of organized labor -- those who would cripple collective bargaining or prevent organization of the unorganized -- do a disservice to the cause of democracy.

Fifty years or so ago the American Labor Movement was little more than a group of dreamers, and look at it now. From coast to coast, in factories, stores, warehouse and business establishments of all kinds, industrial democracy is at work.

Employees, represented by free and democratic trade unions of their own choosing, participate actively in determining their wages, hours and working conditions. Their living standards are the highest in the world. Their job rights are protected by collective bargaining agreements. They have fringe benefits that were unheard of less than a generation ago.

Our labor unions are not narrow, self-seeking groups. They have raised wages, shortened hours and provided supplemental benefits. Through collective bargaining and grievance procedures, they have brought justice and democracy to the shop floor. But their work goes beyond their own jobs, and even beyond our borders."

Our unions have fought for aid to education, for better housing, for development of our national resources, and for saving the family-sized farms. They have spoken, not for narrow self-interest, but for the public interest and for the people."

==========

So much for JFK's "he hated the unions", to quote you. Where'd you get that idea?

JFK was the last great president we had.

Funny, how we see MLK today. Our govt had a healthy fear of the man. When MLK day comes around every year I am reminded of Hoover's FBI and the letter they sent MLK.

Was real sweet, went something like this...

"""King, like all frauds your end is approaching. You could have been our greatest leader. You, even at an early age have turned out to be not a leader but a dissolute, abnormal moral imbecile…

Your “honorary” degrees, your Nobel Prize (what a grim farce) and other awards will not save you. King, I repeat you are done.

No person can overcome facts, not even a fraud like yourself… I repeat — no person can argue successfully against facts… Satan could not do more. What incredible evilness… King you are done.

King, there is only one thing left for you to do. You know what it is. You have just 34 days in which to do it (this exact number has been selected for a specific reason, it has definite practical significance). You are done. There is but one way out for you. You better take it before your filthy, abnormal fraudulent self is bared to the nation."""

Nothing like getting a letter from the FBI asking you to kill yourself.

His saying anything even close to that should have him fired on the spot and I'm sure you agree. On the other hand, whoever said that on MSNBC, was he a regular or a "guest"? Because, there is a difference. You can rebuke a guest but you can't fire him or even blame MSNBC for what their guests utter.

Right. I recall an interview, oh, 5 or 6 years ago, this woman in L.A. She was saying, wondering, how she and her husband would pay for her forthcoming 4th child's birth. Why's that, asked the interviewer? Oh, when I told them I was pregnant with my 4th, they cancelled my policy, said she. They said they warned me not to get pregnant again. What? Bang, just like that. I was flabbergasted.

And now, this is the insurance company's big break. This is what they mean by re-insuring those that "dropped out" because they did not cover everything as obamacare did. Re-conducing policies was an easy no-fuss thing. Just roll them over. But nooooo, "hey, guys, here's our chance to get rid of these people who've been sick before, and these high-risk older ones. And we'll tell the people (the tea partyers, birthers and apologists for us billionaires will believe us) how expensive and complicated it will be for us to re-insure those people". And so it goes. Big business wins again, the media don't see it or don't want to, and the middle class once more gets screwed.

Libtards are flaming hypocrites. Nixon ONLY talked about using the IRS to get back at his enemies but Clinton did and Obama did it ten times worse than Clinton but to you Libtards Nixon was evil and Clinton and Obama are great.
The Republican controlled Senate ONLY talked about the nuclear option but the Democrats just passed it and again you Libtards do not see your plutocracy. And you wonder why I call you Libtards???
Watch how democrats fight hard to stop Nuclear Option
Just remember, turn around is fair play and in 14 months the Republicans maybe in control both Houses of Congress.
Oh, Obama is trying to stack the 3rd Federal Court District by appointing more judges than is needed and because the Republicans are blocking it, they think they need the nuclear option.
Remember, FDR tried to increase the numbers of Justices at the Supreme Court so he could appoint them and it was the good Democrats that stopped him!
