Cuccinelli casts Virginia election as referendum on Obamacare
By David Sherfinski - The Washington Times, November 2, 2013
WOODBRIDGE — Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli got a boost from two midwestern Republican heavyweights Saturday as he tried to spur his voters to the polls by casting Tuesday’s gubernatorial election as a referendum on President Obama’s health care overhaul.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, who grew up in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stumped for Mr. Cuccinelli Saturday afternoon after the state’s attorney general started his day in the Richmond area.

Bush Republicans Destroyed America
U.S. job losses worst since 1974 as recession bites
Dec 5, 2008 / http://tinyurl.com/5lcvoq
WASHINGTON (Reuters)- U.S. employers axed payrolls by 533,000 jobs in November, the most in 34 years and far more than expected, government data on Friday showed, as the year-old recession hammered every corner of the U.S. economy.
Oil prices and the dollar weakened and U.S. Treasury bond prices rallied on the news that confirms the recession was now hitting activity across the board.
"You can't get much uglier than this. The economy has just collapsed, and has gone into a free fall," said Richard Yamarone, chief economist at Argus Research in New York.
The Labor Department said the unemployment rate rose to 6.7 percent last month to the highest reading since 1993, compared with 6.5 percent in October.

You fly from Kenya to a European country and switch planes. That is the way most people get from America to Kenya this very day. No direct flights!!!
Re: "Ah, but how many came from Kenya using a passport of a different country? How many "embarked" for the last leg of their trip from another country."

The answer is very simple. Wait for it. The INS asked people where they had embarked from. They did not base the 21 on passports or the last stop before the person came to the USA. So, only 21 people came from Kenya---and all but one of them came by sea.

Moreover, you have not answered all or even most of the points, only your claim about the 21---which is wrong.

The “born in Kenya” story is the height of the loony side of the birther movement. It is based on forgeries like that of Lucas D. Smith, and falsifications–such as the claim that Obama’s Kenyan grandmother said that he was born in Kenya—when she actually said right on the same tape that he was born IN HAWAII, and she said in another interview that the first that her family in Kenya had heard of Obama’s birth was in a letter FROM HAWAII.

Lucas D. Smith, a convicted felon, claimed that he went to Kenya and got Obama’s birth certificate at a hospital in Mombasa. But Lucas D. Smith has constantly refused to show proof that he, Smith, had ever gone to Kenya. All that he would have to do would be to show a Kenya stamp on a page of a passport, but Lucas D. Smith has refused to do that, constantly, and he has also constantly refused to say why he will not show that proof.(Moreover, his “birth certificate” uses US date formats [month/day/year] and not the day/month/year format used in Kenya.)

Laying aside for a moment the overwhelming proof that Obama was born in Hawaii, the evidence that Obama was NOT born in Kenya is also very strong. There were a grand total of 21 people who came to the USA from Kenya in 1961. Of these only seven were US citizens. And the birther myth has always been that Obama’s parents went there and returned by plane, but only one person came to the USA from Kenya in 1961 by plane and that person was, wait for it, NOT a US citizen. And Obama’s father did not go to Kenya in 1961 either (making it unlikely that his mother did, since travel late in pregnancy was rare, and even more rare without the husband going along). WND has proved with a FOI Act request that Obama senior stayed in Hawaii throughout 1961.

And the Kenyan government investigated the “born in Kenya” story, and found that it was not true.

“Jon Chessoni, a first secretary at the Kenyan Embassy in Washington, can’t understand why his office gets so many baseless questions about whether Barack Obama was born in Kenya.

“It’s madness,” said Chessoni on Monday.“His father, in 1961, would not even have been in Kenya. When this matter first came up, the Kenyan government did its research and confirmed that these are all baseless claims.””

http://washingtonindependent.com/53654/forged

Obama has a Hawaii birth certificate that says that he was born in Hawaii, in Kapiolani Hospital, and the officials of both parties in Hawaii have confirmed that fact. It is also confirmed by the birth announcement in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961, which were sent to the papers only by the DOH of Hawaii.

Obama’s birth announcement appeared in a section of the newspapers called Health Bureau Statistics. As the name indicates, and as the papers and the DOH also say, ONLY the DOH of Hawaii could send birth notices to the Health Bureau Statistics section of the paper. And the DOH only sent out those notices for children that it had issued birth certificates for, and in 1961 the DOH was not allowed to register the births of children who were not born in Hawaii.

Although INS asked them where they arrived from, they DID check passports to verify that arriving persons indeed entered the country that they claimed to depart from. Times and dates are entered with the stamp so it was easily verified which country the person actually departed from.

Virginia race seen as crucial election bellwether
AFP By Ivan COURONNE 30 minutes ago
Roanoke (United States)(AFP)- The semi-rural, increasingly diverse state of Virginia elects a new governor Tuesday in the most watched US race of the year, as political parties jockey for supremacy ahead of 2014 and 2016 elections.
Politicians, pollsters and analysts are eager to see if the state's dramatic demographic transformation will scrape out a win for Democrats or whether its southern traditional values boosted by Tea Party conservatism will carry the day.
The election across the Potomac River from Washington is a barometer of the popularity of the two major US political parties -- as well as that of the turbulent, conservative Tea Party movement that has upended national politics in recent years.
On the right, 45-year-old Ken Cuccinelli, the state's anti-abortion, pro-gun Republican attorney general and Tea Party darling who was the first in the nation to mount a legal challenge against President Barack Obama's health care reforms in 2010.
On the left, Democrat Terry McAuliffe, 56, a party insider who has never held elected office but whose business savvy and political pragmatism -- and his status as close friend to the Clintons -- have helped him emerge as the pre-election favorite.

I agree, and only 21 people had departed from Kenya. Moreover, the INS also recorded the number of people who went from the USA to Kenya in 1961, and only 63 people did, and in this case all 63 went by ship---and once again---there were no regular ships from Hawaii to Kenya.

In addition, we do not even know that Obama's mother had a passport in 1961, and very very few 18-year-olds did, and extremely few women traveled late in pregnancy in 1961 due to the risk of stillbirths. Yet birther hope that gullible people will assume that she was one of the very very few who had a passport and one of the extremely few women who traveled late in pregnancy, and that she went by ship to Kenya and returned by ship from Kenya (even though there were no such ships scheduled) and that the officials of Kenya (who say that Obama was not born there) are lying and that the officials of Hawaii who say that he was born in Hawaii (as does the birth notices and the Index Data) are lying too.

Strange, that. I didn't know the Supreme Court voted in presidential elections, well, any elections. Will wonders never cease?

Gore won. Period.

Nixon won in 1960. As much as I'm not crazy about the man, and glad that JFK prevailed (thank you Mr. Chicago Mayor) he (Nixon) was patriotic and intelligent enough to just let it go in order to avoid constitutional/judicial chaos.

Gore could've pursued it. He didn't, same reason as Nixon.

WRONG. Totally wrong.

Gore lost it because he did NOT use Clinton, not the other way around. As I said, and had Clinton been allowed a third term, he would've won hands down, as he would've won it for Gore had he let him campaign for him. Gore misjudged the year 2000 American attitude towards sexual trysts for the 1960s. People were much more tolerant in the year 2000 than 40 years earlier. Clinton helped win it for Obama twice (though they cannot stand each other, Obama was smart enough to ignore his personal feelings and use Clinton) and almost rescued Kerry's ill-fated badly-run campaign.

Obama never had his name legally changed, nor was he adopted (which requires the action of a district court in Indonesia or Hawaii, and no such papers have been shown), and hence his name remains what it was on his birth certificate, Obama.
Obama has shown both Web images and the actual physical copies to the press (with the raised state seals of Hawaii visible and able to be felt) to the press of both the short form and long form birth certificates of Hawaii. The officials of Hawaii of BOTH parties have repeatedly confirmed that they sent them to him, and they have repeatedly confirmed that the facts on the copies that Obama has had put online are EXACTLY the same as on what they sent to him.
The reference was to the last name on his 'true' birth certificate. Why doesn't Obama simply show the birth certificate he wrote about in his biography? Most likely it lists the father as John Doe.
