TWO : I predicted yesterday, after being badgered over and over again, that, exasperated, you'd say you posted it. Well, TWO lies in one. You never posted the proof that standard of living of real wages had gone down 15% since Obama took over. Why don't you post just one of the two, or did Topix delete it? What about the 50+ other proofs you owe me?

What Truly is Liberty?
By Jim Yardley

When was the last time you thought about, wrote about, or talked about the concept of liberty? That's not a question that needs to be answered by the talking heads, mainstream media, or political pundits, but the ordinary folk known to each of us. It might be your sister, your brother-in-law, your kids or the next-door neighbor.

As for Buddhism like rebirth
Rebirth refers to a process whereby beings go through a succession of lifetimes as one of many possible forms of sentient life, each running from conception to death. Buddhism rejects the concepts of a permanent self or an unchanging, eternal soul, as it is called in Hinduism and Christianity. According to Buddhism there ultimately is no such thing as a self independent from the rest of the universe (the doctrine of anatta). Buddhists also refer to themselves as the believers of the anatta doctrine—Nairatmyavadin or Anattavadin. Rebirth in subsequent existences must be understood as the continuation of a dynamic, ever-changing process of "dependent arising" ("pratītyasamutp āda") determined by the laws of cause and effect (karma) rather than that of one being, transmigrating or incarnating from one existence to the next.

Let's not leave out the American Industrialist like Henry Ford and our manufacturing might. Without the Willow Run plant churning out a bomber a day that ultimately pummeled Germany into submission, that victory in Europe may not have been possible in the time it took us to tip the scales. American CAPITALISM, and the wealth created by it, not socialism and government deciding who and what would succeed was extremely influential.
Naturally our tech was part of what made our military what it was. Industry is what separates us from what we were.

The German military was a buzz saw. It cared not what economic system or form of govt their prey was.

By the time we invaded Normandy (with our allies) the Germans were expelled from Russia and were losing ground to them rapidly. They could have regrouped and made another push once they consolidated their forces. And that is where the second and third front put the nail in the coffin. Southern front was a conquered Italy, Third was the territory we took in the Netherlands.

But if you really want the real answer for why Germany lost WWII. It has nothing to do with capitalism, socialism, or even the Soviets...

They simply ran out of materials.

Yes, America and Great Britain firebombing cities didn't help.

Believe it or not, somehow they didn't properly plan for expanding that far, that fast. Which, as J. pointed out.. is what killed Germany at Stalingrad. Lack of production and operational supply lines. Hell, a lot of German soldiers had no winter gear.

(Applause)

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the
President-elect, Mr. Obama, is a son of the soil
of this country. Every other country in this
continent is celebrating the Obama win. It is
only proper and fitting that the country which
he originates from should show the same
excitement, pomp and colour. I, therefore, seek
leave of the House that we adjourn to discuss
the issue.
Mr. Deputy Speaker: Order! Order!
Ms. Odhiambo, Standing Order No.20 says:-
"Any hon. Member may at any
time rise in his place and seek
leave to move the adjournment
of the House for purposes of
discussing a definite matter of

PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES November 5, 2008

urgent national importance."
This means national "Kenyan" importance.
The election of Senator Barrack Obama---
An hon. Member: It is President Obama!
Mr. Deputy Speaker: President-elect has
not been sworn-in yet. The election of
President-elect Obama is of utmost national
importance to the United States of America. Ms.
Odhiambo, you are a lawyer. You had better be
very careful where you transgress between
watching your own sovereignty and what can be
interpreted in some quarters as some form of
treason. We appreciate and respect him. We are
happy and we were looking forward to his
election. It is not a matter of urgent definite
national importance to Kenya. In any case, whereas
the ruling from the Chair would not have been any
different, you are supposed to approach the Chair
at least two hours in advance and give a notice of
that information.
Nonetheless, let us hold our horses. Let the
excitement not make us look like American
citizens. We are citizens of the sovereign Republic
of Kenya.

It mentions net worth. You don't know how to decipher graphs but you like what you see. It's about net worth, not salaries or purchasing power. Two different things entirely. What you WANT to signify is increases in wages vs inflation. You failed, you read the chart improperly, let yourself cater instead to your fantasies of blaming Obama for every "invented" ill you could muster.

You delve into climate, environment, history, politics, military and you're in left field in all of them.

You're so ignorant. This is the way they talk in Africa about anyone that they like, and more so in this case, as indeed, Obama has African, why, Kenyan blood coursing through his veins. His father was Kenyan.

Of course, to proud African, to proud Kenyans, he is a son of this country. As much of a son of Ireland was JFK. What's wrong with that?
