I sure would like to know just how much ObobbleHead Care has cost us to date. Staggering, I'm sure. Five years of planning and the Healthcare website may already need a complete overhaul? Someone tell me they're kidding.

Wrong . Once more. Again. Encore.

What about house and car insurance. Are the premiums not based on claims in general? Many accidents, fires, claims multiply, what happens to your premiums even though you may not have made a single claim in 50 years? And don't forget, and not unlike smoking, driving race cars and so forth, you pay for negligent home owners who smoke in bed and reckless drivers.

As they were saying on the news here today, with socialised medicine, the usually-healthy young subsidize the older generation who need more medical attention. And so it goes, the young will age, like we all do and it'll be his/her turn to claim more medical expenses than the up-and-coming generation. Water seeks its own level, as they say.

Obamacare is a good thing.

Computers, software, are malfunctioning

Please tell me what the former has to do with the latter.

If the road is washed out in front of you and you can't proceed or may have to do so with much difficulty, are you going to blame the poor quality of your automobile?

ObobbleHead Care is a good thing? For whom? Businesses? No. It is a financial burden on them. So they drop coverage, now the individual has to pay for his own. I doubt the average working joe can afford it. What does the former have to do with the latter? Nothing, because ObobbleHead Care is not a good thing. An omen has been presented! Every expert I've listened to has said it will collapse under its own weight (I agree). Higher premiums and a lower quality of care is NOT a good thing.

Oh Path, the washed out road bit - I'd blame the person that planned the route. The quality of my car?????? LMAO!

A deluge like Katrina does that to the road - you blame the planners? Not too good at analogies, are you? Shall I down the ante and serve you a dose of parables the way I do with Rogue? Unfortunately, and not unlike the hapless apostles, he doesn't get 'em. Will you?

That's why we have boats, Path! Hmm, and I thought Katrina was a Hurricane.

BTW, in your analogy, the people would be the cars and the washed out road would be Healthcare.gov ! Omen?

Just curious. Is this the "nice" Path or the usual Path, it's really hard to tell. LMAO!

Reply to 175674 :

OMG. Katrina, the hurricane washed out many a road. OMG.

and 175675 : Nota : Make a concerted effort not to mix up page and post numbers this time. Sigh.

In YOUR analogy , maybe. It's the other way around. Why do I have to explain it to you? The automobile is Obamacare and the road is the means by which to deliver it, or for children who don't understand, in the fable, the hard/software. My god, you are denser than Rogue and the apostles who could not comprehend the next "down" step, namely, parables. Do you even know what an analogy is? Or a parable? Thought so. Sigh bis.

Do you blame your automobile? Get it now? sigh.

Yes Path, hurricanes are known to wash out roads. Sorry to have dropped such a bombshell on you. Do you really want to bring up page and post numbers? LMAO! I could have reversed my analogy and you would have come back with the exact opposite. Duh. Either way, IT AIN'T WORKING! Get it? And "if" the washed out road was the means to delivery, they've had five years to build and prepare the road! Like I said, either way, it is not working. BTW, how come it is not good enough for the government? Because they know how it's going to blow chunks. Wake up and quit making excuses simply because the President is black. This bill is total BS and has been from day one. Sorry if you don't like it, but that's the way it is.

No, I am not comparing apples to oranges. I'm comparing reality. Universal health care is just that, universal. You sometimes pay for something you're not availing yourself of, but some day, you may just profit from it. You are now profiting, as, are you not covered by a universal health plan? What would you do without it?
You may have Life Insurance (don't know why they call it "life", lol).Do you feel cheated because you have to die for someone to collect it? Would you feel cheated if you were 25 and healthy as a horse and never in need of medical attention, yet paid into the system either via premiums or taxes? You'd change your tune once you have a serious accident or when you get older and those damn little and big ills start to invade your body. It all evens out in the end, Rogue, this collective thing. IF Obamacare endures, take a survey in 5 years, and see the positive approval rating it will receive.
NOT apples and oranges. We ALL pay collectively to keep our nations going. What we pay in taxes may not always be well administered, but heck, it still keeps us going.

Still no reply from Jacqueau who thinks good car drivers should pay the same high rate as serial DUI offenders!

No USAA does not insure high risk people. Let's see, how many car claims I have made since Feb. 1969 when I joined USAA. I hit a road hazard and did $1,200 to the bottom of my pickup and I payed $500 of that soooo, that's it. I got $700 benefits in over 43 years. And I have never had a household claim. Ah, excuse me, my car was burglarized while we were at a beach in Hawaii. I think that was about $400 worth.
