This is a first. Of all the demented birther conclusions, I believe this is the first I've seen that brands Obama an Indonesian. Hey, I've been to the States, does that make me a U.S. citizen? Anyhow, would you please understand that "Muslim" is not a nationality any more than being Jewish or Catholic? Obama hates the U.S. and is destroying the Constitution? Easy to say, but harder to prove, no? Prove those two allegations.
You THINK Obama was born in Kenya. No proof, though he has proven he WAS born in Hawaii. No one denies Cruz was born in Canada from a Cuban father and American mother. But hey, he's a Republican, he's okay, he's a real natural-born U.S, citizen. Hey, "Foolisness" from Seattle (loved Seattle, nice place), did you know that Cruz (he admitted it) never renounced his Canadian citizenship? He IS Canadian btw, as anyone born on Canadian soil, no matter who or what, is a Canadian. Now, LRS, GB KFC, Frank, Rogue, UnAmerican Lady will tell you that you cannot be a U.S. citizen AND hold dual nationality, which is Cruz's case. Oh oh, want to comment on that? Would that not refer to the 14th which birthers keep bandying around?
Obama claims Chicago to be his hometown? Obama was a Chicago carpet beggar, nothing more.

It'll ensure Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden is the next president. Are the Republicans that stupid? Yes, they proved it in Nov 2008 with Palin and 2012 with Romney and just now with the gov't shutdown.
Two points /questions

1 - why does everyone assume Father's citizenship takes precedence over the Mother's?

2 - I believe Cuban law stripped his father of citizenship when he defected. He was likely "a man without a country" at the time of Ted's birth

That's your reply? Seriously? I take it then that your silence on the question signifies your agreement that Cruz is a dual citizen, maybe tri-citizen, and that therefore, according to your birfoon buffoon birther brethren constitutional experts and ha ha legal opinion, Cruz cannot be and is not a U.S. citizen. And to think that LRS accuses me of butting into internal U.S. affairs. This non-American, Cruz, just halted the gov't in his tracks, cost it innumerably, yet he's not even a U.S. citizen. At least, as a non-American like Cruz, I can only opine, not legislate.

Thank you. You make it too easy, really.

No, the reason why Romney did not win is because Conservatives did not trust him enough. Same thing with McCain in 2008. Why do you think Speaker Bonehead dug his heals in? Because he was being pushed by the Conservatives.
But after eight years of Obama, the country will be ready for change. Even if it is a RINO like Jeb Bush.

If Cruz is not a U.S. citizen, how did he become a U.S. Senator? How many times did you Libtards claim that Obama was a citizen because the people voted for him?!?
Oh, Cruz is just one person. The only single person that has that power is the president! But you are afraid of Cruz because if you were not, you would not attack him.

I can't answer the first question, as I assumed it mattered not, father or mother, all the same;

Perhaps Cuba did strip him of his citizenship, I have no idea. But he remains a dual citizen until he renounces his Canadian one, which he says he has not.

I believe your questions were for me. If not, please ignore the answers.

And how is the above relevant with Cruz's citizenship?

BTW, I thought Obama's speech was very statesman-like, not a hint of gloating and appeal to reconciliation and cooperation. Anything wrong with that?

I'm not afraid of Cruz per se as a non-American citizen. But the U.S. is close to us, the U.S. shares the longest border between two states in the world, and it's a peaceful one, thank you, so yes, I would for that reason amongst others be concerned if a man like that became president, what with the disaster he has just inflicted on his country and, in he end, just meedly abdicated, all of it for naught.

As to where one was born or whose parents, the law that governs the eligibility of presidents may have made sense in the 18th century, what with so many Brits still around whose patriotism may have been suspect..it may have made sense. But cripes, today, we are in 2013. Would you prefer an incompetent full-blown born-in-the-USA from U.S. parents to an extremely competent not-sure-if-he-is-constitution ally American even though he holds citizenship and leaves no doubt as to his loyalty? Time to scrap that law and let the best man/woman become president.

Can I store this prediction of Republican House AND Senate in 2014? And, tell me, though it's predictable, what your reaction will be if both houses turn out to be Democrat. Let's see...Fraud, gifts to voters and, oh yes, you were misled by those damn media.
As to Obamacare, the tea partyers are finished. They won't dare come back on that one. And, I predict that not only will Obamacare be a success, thereby reversing the public's initial opposition brought on by huge negative insurance and medical profession advertising (exact same we had with the introduction of our Medicare on 1965). Re-see the polls in the fall of 2014. I will go even further. If the dems win both houses, Obamacare will be improved, barriers removed, benefits increased and present outrageous fees forced to decrease.
I am actually going to agree with you JfO, that may very well happen. The intangible and unpredictable equation to all of this is where the money will be coming from. Because guys like me have the ability to go off the radar, and for socialism to work, there must be citizens willing to have their money confiscated from them to pay for it. I want to ask you, at what point does the American dollar fail as result of the debt? Is it 18 trillion, 19 trillion 20 trillion? Once the US is no longer the worlds reserve currency, what happens to Canada? Any ideas about that?

I have also donated to the Senate Conservatives Fund. I will not donate to the RNC until the likes of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, John Boehner, and the rest of the fakes that have failed to protect and defend the constitution are no longer an influence in the party. There is not a single democrat that I would piss on if they were on fire. That entire party are traitors. Anybody want to know how I really feel? Yes, you rate him above your own president. You always did, in many posts, sets Putin as an example for Obama. So, you like laws that allow no dissidents, you like laws that do not allow freedom of speech? You like laws that assassinate journalists and businessmen? You like laws that goes into Georgia, an independent country, and massacres its people. You like laws that allow for the slaughter of Chechens? You like laws that openly back Hassad of Syria and the Ayatollahs in Iran? Is that a fair comparison with your country?
Why don't you do to democratic Russia for a visit? You may learn a few things. You like to write letters to the editor, right? Why don't you write a letter to Pravda critizing Putin? See if it gets published. Try the same thing at home with your local newspaper, criticizing Obama. I don't know it it'll be published, but I guarantee you many letters criticizing Obama have been published in your country, and others.
Why don't I write a letter to Pravda? WHY??? I used to call the Bush White House comment line about once a month. About half the time I told him is was doing okay but the other half it was to tell him I disagree with him. I have called the Obama What House comment line only a few times to tell him that he is doing good but I do not bother to tell him when I disagree with him because I believe he does not give a damn what I think.

When I was driving long-haul I use to get flashed about once a year. Once by two coeds driving a Mustang convertible with Tennessee Volunteer decal on the back.
Oh, I had one gay guy flash me and I almost put him in a guard rail. At least I turned on my signals for a few seconds before I switched lanes. Boy, was he all over the road when I switched lanes.

Canada will be greatly affected, and many other nations even more. We will better bite the bullet, not because we are smarter or better, we're all smart and stupid, equally, but because we have oil, wood, other natural resources aplenty, though our biggest market the U.S., will import less. The dollar will remain the de facto reserve currency for a long time yet, if only because Western Europe, China, Japan, the oil countries NEED the dollar to pay for their resources and products, and have toilet roll paper-like U.S.- denominated treasury bonds. Who can afford to replace the dollar? And I wrote "DE FACTO" only because it is so. The dollar's not worth the paper it's written on, we all know that but we HAVE to play along. I just hope, at least during my lifetime and my kids' lifetime, that everyone continues to play along.

As the debt/deficit, it has gotten smaller and smaller as time goes by. As to a balanced budget, give it , I think, but that's just me, a good 5 years. Unless someone cuts taxes.

Look, since January 2009, this thread has seen birthers take aim at Obama because, because , according to failed logic, he is not a true natural-born citizen of the U.S. Now comes along this guy, cripes, openly born in CANADA, from a U.S. mother and Cuban father, and you figure he meets all the requirements because he's Republican? Since when have YOUR rules changed.?

I repeat, and as far a I'm concerned, both Obama AND Cruz are fully qualified, who gives a hoot where an how they were born, as long as they are U.S. citizens? Grade them on their performance, is all. And, speaking of performance, you must admit that Obama walked all over Cruz and his birther comrades.
