There you go. Your gov't's paralysed, and you may default tomorrow.(I sure as hell hope not). Not criticizing, not judging, just saying what may occur, it's news, not editorial.. How is that better than the Greece you have so cruelly maligned when it was in dire straits, which it still is? Next time, do be more careful.

Speaker Boehner came on the air, CNN, and in his own chosen word, said, yes , he said something like, "let's not wait 'til the last minute to settle this..." YES, he actually said that, would've sounded the same on NBC, Fox, CBS etc. And the moderator came back and said, "er, hmmm, last minute? Er, 36 hours to go, Mr. Speaker". LMAO (LRS tm reg'd).

Oh, for Pete's sake, everyone does that. Florida is full of Canadians who have bought homes there. Italy, France,(Toscana and Le Midi) are brimming with Americans and Brits who own homes. The locals are even agitating for new laws that would restrict foreign home owners. We have the same thing in Nova Scotia, so many Americans have bought property. Your examples are weak and of no consequence.

But hey, occasionally in business... you take a loss.
C'est la vie.
We have three popular gay bars here in the Detroit area. My wife's cousin Dave is gay and we went one night with my brother and sister in law in tow as he had been bugging the hell out of us to join him to check out his social scene. Quite an experience to say the least. Even with our women we were approached, and watching guys making out was rather repulsive to me. It just did not seem natural. I had no idea that men pole danced either, and had moves that no women I have ever seen in the titty bar ever did. Cocaine was the drug of choice, and promiscuity and prostitution is the norm. At least thats what Dave told us, and I just figure he must know.

That same brother is a cement contractor. He had a guy that worked for him that turned out to be a dealer. A coke dealer. He was recently sentenced to ten years in prison by the fed's because he got caught in a sting at the very bar we went too. An investigation had been going on for two years before the big bust because they were trying to track it back to the cartel in Mexico. He told my brother in law that gays have a veracious appetite for coke, and that they were moving over two kilo's a week in each one of the three bars I am referring to. this might explain why their life expectancy is below the national average and why their STD rate is through the roof. I'm not judging, but glad I've always been in love with women. Never been overly promiscuous either. I'm a one women man, which is why my 27th year of marriage is coming up soon.

You just can't disagree with anyone without throwing in an insult or demeaning comment, can you Jock? It reflects very poorly on your character, and makes you sound far less intelligent then I know you are. Yeah, my deliberate misspelling of your name is a childish dig as well, but in case you haven't noticed, Scrutiny and I disagree as well, and seem to have moved past the childish insults to actually engage in civil exchanges. It is possible to disagree without being so disagreeable. To bad the democrats and republicans can't do the same in Washington DC.

Wow, coke sniffers are mostly gay. Who knew? The gov't should commission you, do a study on this worrisome trend. Eliminate gays, and the drug problem is practically solved.

Your reaction to men and women enjoying each other in the gay bar harks back to the 1930s. Promiscuity, like coke, I gather from your comments, is reserved to gay people. How about this one on promiscuity, and careful lest it reflect on you :

"A promiscuous person is someone who is getting more sex than you are".(attributed to Victor Lownes).

Whoa, whoa, show me the insults in my above post. The last sentence? Really? This Rogue I was answering told me to Fuck off 3 or 4 days ago because he was out of responses. Out of the blue. My "weak and of no consequence" is mild compared to his 4-letter word.

As to you, when have I ever insulted or demeaned you? YOU told me yesterday I was this and that, out of the blue too. Can you tell me why I deserved that? What did I write that brought it on? Will you answer or hedge? You commented, obviously, on the things I said, things not addressed to you. All fair and square I suppose. Will you now give us the pleasure of commenting on LRS's impressive vocabulary? Will you?

I, like you... find it repulsive. However, I don't think anyone should be telling others what they can and can't do with their lives.(Not implying that you do.)

The bar scene is generally a meat market. I would't expect any bar with dancer poles to attract anything less than what you experienced.

Not all gays would enjoy that kind of thing.

I would like to think that seeing men make out in public would be something I could handle without adverse reaction. But in reality, that would have been a real short night for me.
