The "powers that be" will never allow a person like Ron Paul to win. Unfortunately.

Remember in 2004 Dr. Howard Dean campaigned on cleaning up K-Street?

The "powers that be" took him out forthwith and crowned John Kerry King.

Remember in 2000 when John McCain campaigned on cleaning up K-Street?

The "powers that be" took him out forthwith and crowned Dumya Bush King.

Today McCain is running like a Bush Republican corporatist. That is how you get elected in America. Same as Hillary Corporatist Clinton.

Wake Up America!
We need a third party forthwith!

Yes, Medicare and SS are socialistic. They were meant to take care of the people who fell through the cracks but they has morphed into monsters.
Rogue Moron is confused. He is of course well aware that he's a life-long beneficiary of the world's largest social welfare program, but he can't seem to reconcile that fact in his puny brain.

In 1962, and even 1972, big fat GM didn't even see Toyota and Honda on the horizon. The got lazy and broke a cardinal rule: stay competitive and monitor the landscape. Only they were so deluded they did not consider that the landscape included Japan or could one day include Korea or China. This is because the term "developing nations" doesn't means developing in the true sense of the word but rather perpetually trying and failing. The powers that be always want to be on top. Only the plan failed and Korea, China, Japan, and India will compete and the fat cats in corporate US need to get their butts in gear. Being #1 is not a God given right. However, because the best science and engineering students are being educated abroad we have to import them. The next wealthy class in the US will not be WASP.

Ret. U.K. Army Head Slams U.S. Iraq Policy
Calls Invasion Planners "Intellectually Bankrupt," Says Washington Relies Too Heavily On Military / LONDON, Sept. 1, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/28wslj
(CBS/AP) The head of the British army during the Iraq invasion described former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's approach as "intellectually bankrupt," according to comments published Saturday.
Gen. Sir Mike Jackson, who retired in August 2006 as chief of the general staff, said Rumsfeld was "one of those most responsible for the current situation in Iraq," in excerpts from an autobiography, "Soldier," that were published by The Daily Telegraph.
He writes that Rumsfeld refused to deploy enough troops following the collapse of Saddam Hussein's regime to maintain law and order, and rejected the State Department's plans for post-invasion administration of the country. Jackson is also critical of President Bush for handing control of post-invasion Iraq to the Pentagon. "All the planning carried out by the State Department went to waste," he writes.
For Rumsfeld and his supporters "it was an ideological article of faith that the coalition soldiers would be accepted as a liberating army," Jackson wrote.

2nd Retired British General Slams US
September 2, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/2bjqwk
LONDON - A second retired British general slammed the United States over its Iraq policy, saying in a newspaper interview published Sunday that it had been "fatally flawed."
Maj. Gen. Tim Cross, the most senior British officer involved in the postwar planning, said he had raised serious concerns about the possibility of Iraq falling into chaos but said former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld dismissed the warnings.
"Right from the very beginning we were all very concerned about the lack of detail that had gone into the postwar plan and there is no doubt that Rumsfeld was at the heart of that process," Cross said in the Sunday Mirror newspaper.
The comments come a day after the release of critical comments made by the general who led the British army during the Iraq invasion.
Retired Gen. Sir Mike Jackson also singled out Rumsfeld for criticism, saying his approach to the invasion was "intellectually bankrupt," according to quotes excerpted from his autobiography and published by The Daily Telegraph Saturday.

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog.
During our friendly conversation, I asked their 12 year old daughter what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President someday.
Both of her parents - liberal Democrats - were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"
She replied, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."
Her parents beamed with pride!
"Wow...what a worthy goal!" I said. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!" I told her.
"What do you mean?" she replied.
So I told her, "You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"
I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Her parents aren't speaking to me any more.
Only a delusional fool would think a homeless person could support himself mowing Rougie's lawn. And since 50% of the homeless are mentally ill they don't belong on the street but rather need medical help. even if they don't know it. The world is not so simple except to the simpleton, Rougie.

Incidentally, between the ages of 10 - 26 I was severly ill with an UNDIAGNOSED medical condition, despite "Cadillac" insurance policy and scores of medical tests, includig stays at Yale new Haven and the Lahey Clinic. I couldn't possibly hold a job in those days and were I not in college (skipping most of my classes but reading while lying in bed and doing quite well due to 150 IQ) I would have been a bum on the street. One doctor told me I was a "picture of health" yet I was actually quite close to death. It wasn't until I made the diagnosis and insisted on testing that my condition was formally diagnosed and treated. Had I not made the self-diagnosis and insisted on proper testing I would have ended up on the street, an alleged able bodied person who refused to work.

To you Rouge, I hope you are judged as you judge. Check it out in the Bible.

WE NEED A THIRD PARTY IN AMERICA
The Difference Between Republicans and Democrats
10/18/2007 / http://tinyurl.com/2segf6

The difference between the Republicans in Congress and the Democrats in Congress is striking.
The Democrats are in the majority in the House, and are a narrow majority in the Senate, yet they cannot pass any consequential legislation. The one thing they tout as an accomplishment in nine months of controlling Congress is a pathetic “raise” in the federal minimum wage which, first of all, is so small and belated that in most states it will go unnoticed because it’s lower than most state minimum wage laws, and in any case it’s below what the market is providing, and secondly, they only passed that measure by attaching it to an obscene $120-billion funding bill to continue the Iraq War.

The Republicans, however, in House and Senate, though in the minority in both Houses, have managed, by asserting their unity and collective strength, to block a bill that would somewhat restrict spying on Americans by the National Security Agency, to block a bill putting a deadline on the US occupation of Iraq, and to uphold a presidential veto on a bill expanding subsidized health insurance for children.
Say what you want about Republicans being cold-hearted, child-hating, war-mongering, domestic spying advocates. At least they fight for the crap they believe in!
Democrats, on the other hand, claim to be against the Iraq War, but they continue to support funding it, to the tune of over $300 billion since they took control of Congress.

You can believe whatever you wish, loser.

BTW, yesterday I saw at the Gaisano Grand Mall (nothing grand about it by US standards) a bottle of Argintinian red wine labeled "California Red". In the same store I saw "Virginia Hot Dogs" made in Philippines. I got a decent Bordeaux Superieur for less than 500 PHP, about $12.00 US. There's a big black fearless spider in my 2nd bedroom, a gecko hangs out in the "cr" as they call it here, and a lizard that lives under the round shelf on the kitchen table. I didn't think geckos bite bu g/f warned me so I didn't pick it up.

Unfortunately my g/f won't let me check out the bikini bars in Cebu City. She won't let me out of her sight.

I recommend taking vacation around December-January because you can get much lower airfare. As a professor, I have a semester break during Dec-Jan. There's nothing to "pull off" except paying for an airline ticket. My round trip fare was $1768 via Priceline. In Dec I could have gotten it for $1000. Round trip Manila to Cebu City only $55.00 via Philippine Airlines. First night I found a nice hotel for only $32 (Alpa City Suites in Mandaue City). Then went w/ g/f to the SM Mall, which isn't as big as the Ayala Mall. She's enjoyning showing off her rich American b/f. She's so jealous I can't keep her hands off me even though I'm 28 years older. Although I don't need it, sildenafil citrate 50 mg costs $1.92 per tablet. I'm living like a horny teenager in paradise.

She's lived out here all her life. There are lizards, geckos, spiders, and other things everywhere out here. It's a friggin' tropical island. She has not lived in a nice house like the one I'm renting. But you're a loser who has never been out of your backyard so you wouldn't know.
