The Betrayal of Valerie Plame
By Larry C. Johnson CIA Ret. February 7, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/afwlp
A judge's rulings make it clear that Scooter Libby did lie to the grand jury, and that, yes, Valerie Plame was an undercover agent protected by federal law.
Valerie Plame was a covert intelligence officer covered by the Intelligence Officer's Identity Protection Act, and Lewis "Scooter" Libby lied to the grand jury. These two truths emerge from the opinion written by Judge Tatel, of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and released in February 2005. Thanks to a FOIA request by the Wall Street Journal we now have a more complete record, although key parts of his decision are still blacked out. Perhaps most of the media will now realize that they have been fed a pack of lies by the likes of Ken Mehlman, Victoria Toensing, Cliff May and others.
Tatel's opinion also is relevant to the current furor over "domestic spying" and whether reporters will have any ability to protect their sources. It certainly appears that Tatel would uphold the right of the reporters to protect sources who told them about illegal spying. Tatel's concludes his opinion that Judy Miller and Matt Cooper had to testify before the grand jury with the following:

Fox News Makes You Stupid
STUDY: Watching FOX News Makes You Stupid
A new study shows that viewers who get their news from Fox News are the most misinformed in the country.
World Public Opinion, a project managed by the Program on International Policy conducted a survey of American voters that shows that Fox News viewers are significantly more misinformed than consumers of news from other sources. Whats more, the study shows that greater exposure to Fox News increases misinformation.
So the more you watch, the less you know. Or to be precise, the more you think you know that is actually false.
It should be noted that the cablesphere did not do terribly well in general: "CNN and the broadcast network news operations fared only slightly better in many cases. Even MSNBC, which had the best record of accurately informing viewers, has a ways to go before it can brag about it."

Is it not good that Saddamn Hussein is dead? That millions of people like with far more freedom than they had been.
Like it or not, the free flow of oil from the Persian Gulf is a national interest and it is far more secure than it was when Saddamn was in power.
Oh, if you don't think oil is important, just fill your gas tank with water!!!
Again, you have zero evidence that Bush LIED about Iraq's WMD!!!
#165267 Jul 23, 2013
Oh, what happened to Colon Powell? He was drummed out of the Bush administration for withholding information from the president about the Amd. Joe Wilson trip to that African country that is spelled the same way the N-word is spelled.
Oh, he did resign without notice and Bush announced the next day that Condi Rice would replace him. If Bush did not know he would resign, why did he already have his replacement in his pocket?
#165268 Jul 23, 2013
And what has happened to Colon Powell since he resigned from the Bush administration? Nothing as both sides know he is a LIAR!

Then why did Valerie Flame RESIGN from the CIA? Why did her lawsuit against the White House and Scooter Libby get tossed out by the courts?
Now, why did Linda Tripp get over a million dollars from her lawsuit against DoD?
Defense Department settles with Linda Tripp
WASHINGTON (AP) Linda Tripp will get more than $595,000 from the Defense Department to settle a lawsuit over the release of confidential personal information about her to a magazine, her lawyers said Monday.
The 1974 Privacy Act prohibits the government from releasing unauthorized personal information about individual Americans to nonfederal organizations.
Tripp claimed administration officials retaliated for her role in triggering the impeachment proceedings. Tripp provided Independent Counsel Ken Starr with tape-recorded conversations in which Lewinsky confided an intimate relationship with the president.
"This government should never be permitted to use Privacy Act- protected information to discredit a political opponent," Tripp said in a statement.

Alan Greenspan claims Iraq war was really for oil
September 16, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/9xtwu9o
Americas elder statesman of finance, Alan Greenspan, has shaken the White House by declaring that the prime motive for the war in Iraq was oil.
In his long-awaited memoir, to be published tomorrow, Greenspan, a Republican whose 18-year tenure as head of the US Federal Reserve was widely admired, will also deliver a stinging critique of President George W Bushs economic policies.
However, it is his view on the motive for the 2003 Iraq invasion that is likely to provoke the most controversy.I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil, he says.
Britain and America have always insisted the war had nothing to do with oil. Bush said the aim was to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction and end Saddams support for terrorism. http://large.stanford.edu/publications/coal/r...

Australian Nelson: Oil a factor in Iraq deployment
July 5, 2007 http://tinyurl.com/ywcn24
The Howard Government has today admitted that securing oil supplies is a factor in Australia's continued military involvement in Iraq.
Defence Minister Brendan Nelson said today oil was a factor in Australia's contribution to the unpopular war, as "energy security" and stability in the Middle East would be crucial to the nation's future.
U.S. General Abizaid Says 'Of Course It's About Oil'
Oct 16 2007 http://tinyurl.com/8euvsca
Retired General John Abizaid, the former CENTCOM Commander, said on Saturday about the Iraq war that, "Of course it's about oil, we can't really deny that." More from Matt at Think Progress:
Abizaid has previously argued that the U.S. would need "to keep a long-term military presence in Iraq" in order to protect "the free flow of goods and resources" such as oil, but his Stanford comments go much further in pinning oil as a prime motivator for the war.

No, nothing I already don't know. Why is the Democrat controlled Senate making the Army buy new M-1 tanks when they have hundreds in storage?
Why did the Democrats push for an alternate engine for the F-35 when the USAF said they did not need it?
Why did the Obama administration sign a contract to buy A-29s from Brazil when we expect to pull out of Afghanistan before they are delivered?!?
Boy are you f-ing clueless!!!

Iraq was a Secular country with Saddam in power.
Women had many more rights than they have now.
Bush freed the Shiites in Iraq who took over the Iraqi government and is loyal to Iran.
Saddam was no threat and was contained with the Sanctions and No Fly Zones.

Oh they do in Shitcago. The Democrats took ballot applications to the county jail and registered convicted felons!!!
And prisoners benefit from their prison labor. Oh, they can sit in their cells and do nothing or they can work and earn money.
During WWII, enemy POWs here in the US were often given work releases. The farmers had to pay the government ten since and hour while the POWs got another the since an hour!
Oh, in Germany I met a former Wehrmacht POW. He earned ten since an hours picking baumwolle (cotton).
Ya know, us older folk know more than you young whippersnappers.

What are you smokin'? Only if you were a supporter of Saddamn did you get anything. Twice as many homes have electricity tan while Saddamn was in power. They have over ten times as many cars and over a hundred times as many cell phones!
And how long were you going to keep sanctions against Saddamn's Iraq? Why were our planes getting shot at? Why was Saddamn staving Shiites to death?
You are drinkin' way to much red Kool Aide.

What It Means To Be A Republican:
http://tinyurl.com/zypwk February 19, 2006
The vice president shoots you in the heart and in the face. Then you apologize for all the trouble its caused him. Thats what it means to be a Republican.
Despite almost hysterical warnings the president stays asleep at the wheel. He does nothing about terrorism and 9/11 happens. He responds by running away to Nebraska. Three days later he makes a supposedly impromptu speech with a bull horn on the rubble of the World Trade Center. He is universally cheered as a hero. Thats what it means to be a Republican. The president puts together false claims to go to war with the wrong country. His party universally supports him. Thats what it means to be a Republican.
The administration mismanages the war in Iraq so that it creates chaos, a breeding ground for terrorists and political opportunities for Islamic fundamentalists. Along the way, the reasons for going to war are exposed as false. The president runs on national security as his main issue. He is re-elected. Thats what it means to be a Republican.
The president cheerfully gives away the surplus to the richest people in the country. Then he runs up record debts, just to throw more money their way. He claims it has helped Americas economy. People act like they believe him. Thats what it means to be a Republican. http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0219-20.h...
