The Mainstream Media in America are not liberal and neither is Obama.

The Democrats are all corrupt corporate hacks just like Republicans.

There are a very limited number of liberals in Washington DC and even fewer conservatives with absolutely ZERO power.

Ron Paul was one of a handful authentic conservatives and Bernie Sanders is one of the few authentic liberal/progressives.

For your convenience just to name two.

The Congress is run by RINOS & LINOS.

Republican in name only.

Liberal in name only.

The Real Boston Tea Party was an Anti-Corporate Revolt
CNBC Correspondent Rick Santelli called for a "Chicago Tea Party" on Feb 19th in protesting President Obama's plan to help homeowners in trouble. Santelli's call was answered by the right-wing group FreedomWorks, which funds campaigns promoting big business interests, and is the opposite of what the real Boston Tea Party was. FreedomWorks was funded in 2004 by Dick Armey (former Republican House Majority leader & lobbyist); consolidated Citizens for a Sound Economy, funded by the Koch family; and Empower America, a lobbying firm, that had fought against healthcare and minimum-wage efforts while hailing deregulation.

Anti-tax "tea party" organizers are delivering one million tea bags to a Washington, D.C., park Wednesday morning - to promote protests across the country by people they say are fed up with high taxes and excess spending.

The real Boston Tea Party was a protest against huge corporate tax cuts for the British East India Company, the largest trans-national corporation then in existence. This corporate tax cut threatened to decimate small Colonial businesses by helping the BEIC pull a Wal-Mart against small entrepreneurial tea shops, and individuals began a revolt that kicked-off a series of events that ended in the creation of The United States of America. http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/04/15-1...

Majority Of Tea Party Group's Spending Went To GOP Firm That Created It
December 28, 2009 / http://tinyurl.com/yl3dbqv
The political action committee behind the Tea Party Express (TPE)-- which already has been slammed as inauthentic and corporate-controlled by rival factions in the Tea Party movement -- directed almost two thirds of its spending during a recent reporting period back to the Republican consulting firm that created the PAC in the first place.
Our Country Deserves Better (OCDB) spent around $1.33 million from July through November, according to FEC filings examined by TPMmuckraker. Of that sum, a total of $857,122 went to Sacramento-based GOP political consulting firm Russo, Marsh, and Associates, or people associated with it.

12 years of Reagan/Bush and 8 years of Bush/Cheney increased the size of government with the largest deficits in history.

No Republican administration has balanced a budget since Eisenhower in 1957.

Dwight Eisenhower was last Republican President to preside over a balanced budget. He had a balanced budget in 1956 and 1957. Since then, there have been two presidents to preside over balanced budgets, LBJ in 1969 and Clinton in 1998 through 2001. During the last 40 years there have been five budget surpluses, all five were under Democratic Presidents: 1969, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.

Qatar set to purchase 118 tanks to prepare for 2022 World Cup Mike Prindiville Jul 14, 2013,

Qatar is set to purchase 118 Leopard tanks and 16 tank howitzers from Germany in preparation for hosting the 2022 World Cup.

German newspaper Bild am Sonntag made the announcement Sunday claiming the oil-rich nation will pay several billion dollars to German defense manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and defense tech group Rheinmetall.

The deal comes after the government of German Chancellor Angela Merkel approved the initial purchase of 62 Leopard tanks and 24 howitzers this past spring.

Encore: United States of ALEC
November 30, 2012 / http://tinyurl.com/cuwj5qy
In an encore broadcast, Moyers & Company presents “United States of ALEC,” a report on the most influential corporate-funded political force most of America has never heard of — ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. A national consortium of state politicians and powerful corporations, ALEC presents itself as a “nonpartisan public-private partnership”. But behind that mantra lies a vast network of corporate lobbying and political action aimed to increase corporate profits at public expense without public knowledge.
In state houses around the country, hundreds of pieces of boilerplate ALEC legislation are proposed or enacted that would, among other things, dilute collective bargaining rights, make it harder for some Americans to vote, and limit corporate liability for harm caused to consumers — each accomplished without the public ever knowing who’s behind it. One Wisconsin politician describes ALEC as “a corporate dating service for lonely legislators and corporate special interests.”
“United States of ALEC” is a collaboration between Okapi Productions, LLC and the Schumann Media Center, headed by Bill Moyers, which supports independent journalism and public watchdogs including the Center for Media and Democracy, whose investigators are featured in the report.

McCain guru linked to subprime crisis / Republican Phil Gramm
3/28/08 / http://tinyurl.com/2ujo9b
The general co-chairman of John McCain’s presidential campaign, former Sen. Phil Gramm (R-Texas), led the charge in 1999 to repeal a Depression-era banking regulation law that Democrat Barack Obama claimed on Thursday contributed significantly to today’s economic turmoil.

“A regulatory structure set up for banks in the 1930s needed to change because the nature of business had changed,” the Illinois senator running for president said in a New York economic speech.“But by the time [it] was repealed in 1999, the $300 million lobbying effort that drove deregulation was more about facilitating mergers than creating an efficient regulatory framework.”
Gramm’s role in the swift and dramatic recent restructuring of the nation’s investment houses and practices didn’t stop there.

A year after the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act repealed the old regulations, Swiss Bank UBS gobbled up brokerage house Paine Weber. Two years later, Gramm settled in as a vice chairman of UBS’s new investment banking arm.

Later, he became a major player in its government affairs operation. According to federal lobbying disclosure records, Gramm lobbied Congress, the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department about banking and mortgage issues in 2005 and 2006.

During those years, the mortgage industry pressed Congress to roll back strong state rules that sought to stem the rise of predatory tactics used by lenders and brokers to place homeowners in high-cost mortgages.

For his work, Gramm and two other lobbyists collected $750,000 in fees from UBS’s American subsidiary. In the past year, UBS has written down more then $18 billion in exposure to subprime loans and other risky securities and is considering cutting as many as 8,000 jobs. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0308/924...

Not liking? I have no problem with the verdict.

BTW, I never said there was evidence of a hate crime.

What I did say was that DOJ might continue investigating making GZ's life miserable and that they can be vindictive SOBs.

Now how does that appear I don't "like" the verdict.

In fact if GZ had been found guilty and given only 10 years I would have felt sorry for the stupid schlump. He really didn't understand how inappropriate it is for a neighborhood watch volunteer to pursue fantasy suspects with a gun. He was playing cops & robbers, but Martin's only real life was ended. Martin should have avoided confrontation. He could have easily outrun Zimmerman. Martin was not without fault, but he didn't deserve to be picked on and shot dead by an adult. If Zimmerman does this again, I doubt the jury will be forgiving.

That's right, Wojar.
I think Zimmerman followed lots of people in the past. Most of them may not have known they were being tailed. And some probably were creeped out by him but did not take a swing at the night watchman.

Another fact of life is that when soemone takes a swing, all bets are off.

Umm, I said Zimmerman actions could be viewed as provocation. Nothing about Z violating statute by following.

BTW, genius, Zimmerman was tried because the prosecution cleared the probable cause hurdle. That's how it works.

Nevertheless, trial by jury is not germane to my comment, which pointed out that the jury has nothing to do with immunity under 776.032 or any reimbursement for fees and expenses related to the trial.

Zimmerman is not entitled to expenses and fees under 776.032 and the jury has nothing to do with that.
