One thing about the accident investigation of the plane crash in San Francisco yesterday. The pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, etc. mus talk to the NTSB. They can not plea the Fifth Amendment, however, what they say to the NTSB can not be used in either criminal or civil courts.
This is for safety investigations only and the USSC has upheld that what they say to the NTSB is secrete and can not be used in a civil lawsuit or a criminal proceeding.
In the Army they do two simultaneous investigations. One is the Safety Board which you must talk to and the other is the Collateral Board in which you have your Fifth Amendment rights.
I am leaning to pilot error but the two black boxes know what happened and they have already been read and they have a 99% knowledge of what the cause of the accident is.
I heard one eyewitness say that it landed short of the runway. It does resemble a lot, and I'm surprised it was not brought, up , the long-distance Br Airways flight from Asia that suffered fuel starvation upon landing, with an almost identical kind of crash that occurred in S. Francisco. Fuel starvation indeed, in a place and at a time that had never before happened. Another one in Brazil five years ago, similar circumstances. If you lose all your engines a minute or less before flare, well, imagine...

Nine Myths about Socialism in the US
April 10, 2010 / http://tinyurl.com/y46sa24
Glenn Beck and other far right multi-millionaires are claiming that the US is hot on the path towards socialism. Part of their claim is that the US is much more generous and supportive of our working and poor people than other countries. People may wish it was so, but it is not.

As Senator Patrick Moynihan used to say “Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But everyone is not entitled to their own facts.”

The fact is that the US is not really all that generous to our working and poor people compared to other countries.

Consider the US in comparison to the rest of the 30 countries that join the US in making up the OECD – the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. These 30 countries include Canada and most comparable European countries but also include some struggling countries like Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Korea, Mexico, Poland, Slovak Republic, and Turkey. See www.oecd.org

When you look at how the US compares to these 30 countries, the hot air myths about the US government going all out towards socialism sort of disappear into thin air. Here are some examples of myths that do not hold up.

Jacques,
I have never in all my life seen a more hate-filled, spiteful group of men than the Muslim Brotherhood.
They plan on seeking revenge for the ultimate slap in the face, which they recently received via the hand of the Eqyptian military on behalf of human civilization.
Civil war is right around the corner and a very real possibility.
I think the front lines of Islamo-extremism now might shift from Syria and next lay waste to Eqypt.

I know. Just the look on their faces! Compare those with the looks on faces of the anti-Morsi demonstrators. Take heart, there seemed to be more of the latter than the former.

There goes the famed trigger. Out of ammo, out of intelligent argumentation, out of brains, to put simply, the lid blows off and we are privy to : "arse, tweeener. lil gay (more projections), black,(meant as an insult), polish fella (aslo meant as an insult) lil tweener, toesap (an LRS original)- has a toe fetish)".

How it must suck to HAVE to use filth when out of gray matter.

YOU get it right. Original quote, both referring to the flag and patriotism was first uttered by Englishman Samuel Johnson in 1775. Others just followed. Don't spar with me on those things, please. Takes nothing away from Mark Twain, great great writer and atheist.

Further enlightenment for Commie Pravda Lady :

The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic.

He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us,

and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched.

--H. L. Mencken

There are some which teach insane citizenship, bastard citizenship, but that is all.

Patriotism! Yes, but patriotism is usually the refuge of the scoundrel.

He is the man who talks the loudest.

-- Mark Twain

Patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of emotion

but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.

Yep, I agree with Bill, if there is any rioting after the Geo. Zimmerman trial, I will blame Angela Corey, Gov. Rick Scott and Pres. Barack Obama.
Rogue

Seems like this would be all over conservative news/radio by now if it is factual. If it is, we can say "Thank You" to this woman {Angela Corey] for the riots that will certainly follow any finding of "Innocent" by the Zimmerman jury or by dismissal of the charges for her prosecutorial misconduct/perjury. Ironically Zimmerman identifies as "Hispanic" and Martin is obviously black. However, the price largely will be paid by white America in riots and mayhem as this will certainly follow an acquittal. Blacks will pay in terms of further prejudice (deserved in all too many cases) and additional stigmatization for those blacks who do NOT react unlawfully. The Hispanics will pay in terms of further prejudice at a point where the one thing Hispanics in America do not need is more controversy. The 2nd Amendment (and all patriotic Americans) have already taken a beating on this one.

None of this should have happened (IMHO) but it was evident to me from the get-go that the indictment (delayed, imperfect and cobbled together) was late in coming and obviously issued in a "Caligula-like" rush to judgement and under the threat of imminent civil disorder by the black community in Florida and all across the nation - whipped into a frenzy by the liberal-left media and any number of thoroughly bigoted so-called "leaders" within the black population.

Hell, let's all go to the local coliseum and - as a mob - and decide the fate of whomever is dragged out for judgement based on unproven, inflammatory and purposefully deceptive testimony! The bad news is that this already happens each and every day thru or various electronic media! Substitute "TV" for "coliseum" and we're no better than the last of the Romans and their damned thumbs!

This quote came from the Former Premier of the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."
