Sen. Frank Lautenberg dies at 89; NJ GOP Gov. Chris Christie to pick replacement

New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg died Monday of viral pneumonia at the age of 89.
Mr. Lautenberg, a Democrat, was the oldest member of the Senate and the last World War II veteran serving in the upper chamber. Mr. Lautenberg had been dealing with health issues for months and announced earlier this year that he would not seek re-election in 2014.
Mr. Lautenberg was known as a liberal icon in the Senate and played a leading role in banning smoking on airplanes, authoring the new GI bill and writing the nation’s drunk driving laws — in particular the .08 blood alcohol standard and the 21 year old drinking age limit.
“Senator Lautenberg and I often talked about his training experiences during World War II at Camp Crowder in Southwest Missouri,” Sen. Roy Blunt, Missouri Republican, said in a news release.
“That was just the beginning of a life dedicated to serving the United States. I was always glad to work alongside him on his transportation efforts, and my thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family as they mourn this loss.”

OBAMA MAY SIGN U.N. GUN GRAB TREATY TOMORROW
Jun 2, 2013

Excerpted from The Hill: President Obama is hesitant to sign an international arms trade treaty opposed by the National Rifle Association, according to advocates for the pact.

She said she thinks Obama will still eventually sign the treaty, which his administration supports, but that she “wouldn't be surprised” if he waited to sign “under the cover of darkness in August.”

More Christian "love thy neighbour" talk, Rogue? You do know that Moslem share Old Testament prophets with Jews and Christians, now don't you? Oh, they have no modern-day prophets, same as Christians.
Assuming it's a joke, although to you, it surely is not, it's not funny, rather some kind of thigh-slapping cheap beer birther kind of humour.<quoted text>
Oh goody, now the Libtards are throwing lemons. Time to make lemonade.
No. Time to sadly admit that you are out of your league. The only domain where you surpass yourself is the one you are not master of and, hatred. It blinds you, domain-wise as your mother warned you it would and hate-wise, spurting out hate-laced vitriol at anything you don't know about. And that is a whole lot.

Here are some quotes by Bill Clinton from a New York Post article:
"Obama doesn’t know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. He’s incompetent. He’s an amateur!”
.....
"Obama has made a lot of promises — and nothing ever happened."
"He (BO) once boasted that he’d bring the Israelis and Palestinians to the negotiating table and create a permanent peace in the Middle East. Nothing happened. "
"He (BO)said he’d open a constructive dialogue with America’s enemies in Iran and North Korea and, through his special powers of persuasion, help them see the error of their ways. And nothing happened."
"He (BO) said he’d solve the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression and put millions of people back to work. And nothing happened."

I mentioned Marshall McLuhan the other day, namely "the medium is the message". DOH. Clueless, right? All opinion, all hearsay, no evidence. THAT is the messenger and the message, 2 in 1.

Isn't it funny how Obumbler knows exactly where he was and what he was doing during the OBL raid but he can't seem to recall his whereabouts and actions during these recent ongoing scandals? What a joke and a liar! Disgraceful to say the least.

And Oily gets something (almost) correct:

"Please, look at all the web sites that were created supposedly as opposition to Obama and to expose the eligibility issue: World Net Daily, Western Journalism, Obama Release Your Records, ObamaBallotchallenge.
You can see that they all are essentially ... promoting Arpaio and Zullo."

.... They are not writing a word about the fact that Arpaio and Zullo spent 2 years on fundraising and never filed a criminal complaint,...

So you can see that Joseph Farah, Jerome Corsi of WND and reportedly of Western Journalism, Richard Garruth (using pseudonym Bob Nelson) of Obama Release Your Records, George Miller of ObamaBallotchallenge ... use this issue as a fundraiser from dumb supporters,..."

Poor Oily. Other snake oil salesmen are outselling her

A staggering 100,000 Christians are killed annually because of their faith, according to the Vatican -- and several human rights groups claim such anti-Christian violence is on the rise in countries like Pakistan, Nigeria and Egypt.

Yes, there are al Qaeda-affiliated groups in Syria and Christians are at the top of their 'to kill list'!

Syria's future tied to freedom for captured Christian leaders
Turkey and the US State Department must make the release of two captured Christian archbishops in Syria a top priority. At stake are not just their lives, or even the fate of Syrian Christians, but the fate of any hope of tolerance and pluralism in a post-Assad Syria – and the region as a whole.

By Chris Van Hollen, Frank Wolf | Christian Science Monitor – Wed, May 29, 2013

The war in Syria, which began in April 2011 with peaceful protests against the oppressive regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, is no longer just a struggle between opposition forces and the government. It has now also become a religious, sectarian civil war.
Among those caught in the crossfire are Syria's Christians, who were estimated to number 2.5 million, or roughly 10 percent of Syria’s population prior to the conflict. On April 22, two Syriac Christian archbishops were captured and another leader was killed in an attack by extremist fighters.

Moses came AFTER Abraham and is therefore not a Muslim prophet! Yes, the Koran does mention Moses and Jesus but not as THEIR prophets.
