I don't care what they say the F-14 was never used in the Vietnam WAR. The United States had withdrawn from Vietnam by September 1973 and was forbidden by an act of Congress to engage in any combat activity in SEA.<quoted text>

The F-14 came to late for the Vietnam war and only one deployment about USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) with CVW-14 was made from 17 September 1974 to 20 May 1975. Even though VF-1 and VF-2 Tomcats flew combat air patrols over South Vietnam as part of Operation Frequent Wind, F-14s didn't score any MiG kill. The following squadrons belonged to Carrier Air Wing 14

American withdrawal from Saigon (1975)
Main article: Operation Frequent Wind
The Tomcat made its combat debut during Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of American citizens from Saigon, in April 1975. F-14As from Fighter Squadron 1 (VF-1) and VF-2, operating from the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), flew combat air patrols over South Vietnam to provide fighter cover for the evacuation route.
Can you hear the tsk tsk in the background, the mocking, the laughter?
Now for the Sunoco proof, please.
Just because there were some F-14s flying off the coast of S. Vietnam does not mean they partook in any combat actions. And YOU can not prove they fired one round or shot one missile or dropped one bomb in Vietnam!
You are like Bill Clinton trying to define what the definition if "is" is!!!
