More Than 15,000 Scientists Protest Kyoto Accord; Speak Out Against Global Warming Myth
DOUGLAS HOUTS (1998.05.12 )

More than 15,000 scientists, two-thirds with advanced academic degrees, have now signed a Petition against the climate accord concluded in Kyoto (Japan) in December 1997. The Petition (see text below) urges the US government to reject the Accord, which would force drastic cuts in energy use on the United States. This is in line with the Senate Resolution, approved by a 95-to-0 vote last July, which turns down any international agreement that damages the economy of the United States while exempting most of the world’s nations, including such major emerging economic powers as China, India, and Brazil.

In signing the Petition within a period of less than six weeks, the 15,000 basic and applied scientists — an unprecedented number for this kind of document — also expressed their profound skepticism about the science underlying the Kyoto Accord. The atmospheric data simply do not support the elaborate computer-driven climate models that are being cited by the United Nations and other promoters of the Accord as “proof” of a major future warming. The covering letter enclosed with the Petition, signed by Dr. Frederick Seitz, president emeritus of Rockefeller University and a past president of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, states it well:

“The treaty is, in our opinion, based upon flawed ideas. Research data on climate change do not show that human use of hydrocarbons is harmful. To the contrary, there is good evidence that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is environmentally helpful.”

In 1975 Dr, James Hansen said we were entering another Ice Age when in fact we had been in global warming (no capital letters) for about 20 years.
Even the people at the University of Colorado said we were as late as 1977.

Institute of Artic and Alpine Research, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO
http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/1550544...

And then in Lockstep, the Libtards switched feet in mid-air and decided we were actually in Global Warming (in Capital letters). You see everything Libtards do is to the extreme and only they can save mankind!!!
So if you Chicken Littles still believe in Global Warming, you need to move to Greenland just as fast as you can while there is still room.

No, I want a link to Sunoco and admittance of error on F-14s. Simple enough, no? I'll let the other 50 or so other requests for evidence drop. For now.

is that the John R. Christy who famously screwed up his calculations of troposphere temperatures?

"We now know, of course, that the satellite data set confirms that the climate is warming , and indeed at very nearly the same rate as indicated by the surface temperature records. Now, there’s nothing wrong with making mistakes when pursuing an innovative observational method, but Spencer and Christy sat by for most of a decade allowing — indeed encouraging — the use of their data set as an icon for global warming skeptics. They committed serial errors in the data analysis, but insisted they were right and models and thermometers were wrong. They did little or nothing to root out possible sources of errors, and left it to others to clean up the mess, as has now been done."

Examining Dr. John Christy's Global Warming Skepticism
12 June 2011 / http://tinyurl.com/mcztwfx
By far the three most prominent and most frequently referenced climate scientists who are "skeptical" of the dangers of human-caused global warming are Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT, and Drs. Roy Spencer and John Christy of the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH). These are not your typical unqualified "skeptics", like so many others (i.e. computer programmers, politicians, and former political consultants). No, these are genuine climate scientists who receive government research grants, publish peer-reviewed studies, and have not received any funding from fossil fuel companies in recent years. Thus their arguments are well worth examining. Is there scientific validity to their skepticism?
This question is of particular importance since they have recently received so much media attention. Dr. John Christy, for example, has recently testified before U.S. Congress, appeared on an Australian radio talk show, and on a Canadian radio show. In these appearances, he advised his audiences that there is a great deal of uncertainty regarding man-made global warming, and that we need not take significant steps to reduce human greenhouse gas emissions. This advice directly contradicts the findings of the vast majority of Dr. Christy's peers, most recently by the Australian Climate Commission, which concluded that we know beyond a reasonable doubt that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming, and it is critical that we immediately implement policies to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.
http://www.skepticalscience.com/examining-chr...
So we have a no name individual, dana1981, challenges three noted real climate scientist and you think that person's opinions are more important than MINE?
Again, the writer says that these three scientists are in the minority but that is totally false as are all of his premises.

"Bad News for the Bad Guys: The F-14 is still in the game!"

History of F-14s in Combat:

•1974-1975: Vietnam War
•since 1974: Soviet bomber escort
•1980-1988: Gulf War I: The war between Iraq and Iran
•1981: Libya I: VF-41 Black Aces F-14As shoot down 2 Libyan Su-22 Fitter-Js
•1983: Lebanon: VF-11 and VF-31 under fire from Syrian SAMs/AAA and engaged in MiGs
•1985: The Achille Lauro affair
•1989: Libya II: VF-32 Swordsmen kill two Libyan MiG-23 Floggers
•1991: Gulf War II: Free Kuwait
•since 1991: Gulf War III: Peace Keeping Missions
•1999-2000: Missions over former Yugoslavia
•2001-2002: Strike missions against terror after Sept. 11th, 2001
•2003-2006: USA go to war against Iraq

Vietnam War

The F-14 came to late for the Vietnam war and only one deployment about USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) with CVW-14 was made from 17 September 1974 to 20 May 1975. Even though VF-1 and VF-2 Tomcats flew combat air patrols over South Vietnam as part of Operation Frequent Wind, F-14s didn't score any MiG kill. The following squadrons belonged to Carrier Air Wing 14:

So, Rogue, you dispute it still? How about another (above) source for you? Note how I don't ask YOU to find my sources. I don't have to, as contrary to you, I always have mine. Note the word "combat" . Was the US at war with Iraq when it patrolled and controlled its skies prior to the invasion? Were those sorties not combat missions? As to Vietnam, yes the US was not in a combat role on the ground (though that could be disputed) at that time, but the F-14 did do combat missions. It says so.

As to your claim that you do not "chew my cabbage twice!" How about, instead, "I do no chew my lies twice" though twice is hardly enough. What a BSer, you invent stuff, will not admit you did and then tell your interlocutor to find it himself. Loser.
