Ice wave hits houses in Canada
A tsunami of ice has slammed into a lakeside community in Canada, crushing several houses.
The wall of ice, which hit Manitoba's Ochre Beach, lasted 15 minutes, and sent locals fleeing to safety.
"They heard it before they saw it (the ice) coming up their decks," local official Clayton Watts told the Winnipeg Free Press. "Then it came right in their front windows. It was just a matter of minutes."
A booming noise alerted many people and gave them enough time to safely evacuate, Watts added.
"Fortunately, no one was hurt," he said. "We were very lucky."
A similar ice wave was reported in the US state of Minnesota.

Yes, a strong wind pushed ice and snow onto houses and unfortunately destroyed quite a few of them, a rare and unusual event. It surely confirms, yes, who needs more proof?, that we are in a period of global cooling. Yes indeed.

Oh, which country had the first purpose built aircraft carrier? Japan with the Hosho which was launched in 1922. Yes, Japan was third to get an aircraft carrier but the first to build one as a carrier.
Whereas our Lanley could do only 15 knots, the Hosho could do 25 knots and could keep up with all but destroyers when it was launch.

Did you notice that it also happened in Minnesota a few days earlier? DOUBLE-rare!!!
First recorded snow in Arkansas during the month of May? More than rare as it had never been recorded before.
New Delhi, ID, new record all time low temperature? Germany, coldest Winter and Spring in 150 years? In fact the last three plus years have seen all kinds of record Winter weather.
I know, I know, you are going to say how many record HIGH temps we have had ...... but they are ALL in Large "Urban Heat Island" Cities and not the Earth in general. Now with a Urban Heat Island like New Delhi sets a new record LOW, now that is something to write home about!

Rogue : "But they are deterred by our overwhelming presence." No,they're not. Why would they wage war on the US anyhow?

As to the war in the Pacific with Japan, it matters not how many carriers the US may have had, Japan, commodity and energy-starved, no doubt would've done the same. Don't forget, the Japanese thought the US carrier fleet was anchored at Pearl Harbor. Mistake. Grave mistake. Had they been anchored there, the war would've totally, well, almost, been altered (US and allies, released from the European theatre, would've won eventually), and I say almost almost because it would have lasted longer is all. 17 or 7, they were all supposed to be in Pearl Harbor. Instead, soon-to-be useless heavy cruisers and battleships were destroyed or disabled.

Jacques,
That whole make-believe story about the YouTube video being to blame for the Benghazi attack on the anniverasry of 9/11 was concocted and peddled by the White House in order to deceive the public, and the world.
Perhaps that, in and of itself, is not a crime or even a misdeamenor, but they made a bad situation much worse. The trust is broken.
I used to like Hillary, but not any more.

Yeah, they boobooed it. I said so many times. Mistake. So? Would it have changed anything had they told it like it was? This in itself is what makes the "invented scenario" even stupider. Don't give the CIA a pass on this either.

EXCEPT for the children of foreign diplomats, anyone born on US soil over the age of 35 and with 14 years of residence in the USA can become president if elected. Yes, ANYONE, and that includes the children of two foreigners visiting the USA and even two illegal immigrants in the USA.

Black's Law Dictionary (9th Edition) defines "Natural Born Citizen" as "A person born within the jurisdiction of a national government".

"Every child born in the United States is a natural-born United States citizen except for the children of diplomats.”---Senator Lindsay Graham (December 11, 2008 letter to constituents)

“What is a natural born citizen? Clearly, someone born within the United States or one of its territories is a natural born citizen.”(Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on OCTOBER 5, 2004)--Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT).

“Under the longstanding English common-law principle of jus soli, persons born within the territory of the sovereign (other than children of enemy aliens or foreign diplomats) are citizens from birth. Thus, those persons born within the United States are "natural born citizens" and eligible to be President. Much less certain, however, is whether children born abroad of United States citizens are "natural born citizens" eligible to serve as President ..."---- Edwin Meese, et al, THE HERITAGE GUIDE TO THE CONSTITUTION (2005)[Edwin Meese was Ronald Reagan’s attorney general, and the Heritage Foundation is a well-known Conservative organization.]

The US Supreme Court defined the term Natural Born Citizen in the Wong Kim Ark case, which btw, was AFTER Minor v. Happersett. And it said that the term comes from the common law (hence not Vattel), and that it refers to the place of birth and that every child born in the USA except for the children of foreign diplomats is a Natural Born Citizen.

What? I can't go out and mow my lawn?!? Maybe you will have to wait a few more months to mow your lawn but even in January I have to mow about once a month. In the Spring and Fall, about every other week. In Summer, every 7-10 days!
Ah, didn't get the point. It is rare, very rare to have ice jams! Even rarer in the month of May!! Even rarer than that in two different places in May!!!
Now, when was the last time it snowed in Arkansas in the month of May?!?

I can not believe you are that dense. No, it was not his last name. He was a known Southern sympathizer as were many in Maryland. It was assumed he knew. That does not make it right to convict him but you must remember that this was the crime of the century at the end of our bloodiest war.
From Wiki: Many historians agree that President Abraham Lincoln's future assassin, John Wilkes Booth, visited Bryantown, Maryland, in November and December 1864, claiming to look for real estate investments. Bryantown is about 25 miles (40 km) from Washington, D.C., and about 5 miles (8.0 km) from Mudd’s farm. The real estate story was merely a cover; Booth’s true purpose was to plan an escape route as part of a plan to kidnap Lincoln.[citation needed] Booth believed the federal government would ransom Lincoln by releasing a large number of Confederate prisoners of war.
Historians agree that Booth met Mudd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown during one of those visits, probably the November visit. Booth visited Mudd at his farm the next day, and stayed there overnight. The following day, Booth purchased a horse from Mudd's neighbor and returned to Washington. Some historians[who?] believe that Booth used his visit to Bryantown to recruit Mudd to his kidnapping plot, although others[who?] believe that Mudd would have had no interest in such a scheme.

A short time later, on December 23, 1864, Mudd went to Washington where he met Booth again. Some historians believe the meeting had been arranged, but others disagree. The two men, as well as John Surratt, Jr. and Louis J. Weichmann, had a conversation and drinks together, first at Booth’s hotel, and later at Mudd’s.
..........
Due in part to the influence of his defense attorney, Thomas Ewing Jr., who was influential in the President's administration, on February 8, 1869, Mudd was pardoned by President Andrew Johnson. He was released from prison on March 8, 1869 and returned home to Maryland on March 20, 1869.
Yep, he spent almost four years in prison but he was pardoned by a Southerner, Pres. Andrew Johnson.

Hey, it's not our fault if you're too dense understand what the law says. Do you know how easily we would have been taken over if your interpretation were correct? That's the main reason behind the law; to keep people with allegiances elsewhere out of our gov. You should have learned that in Jr. High! Then again, you're probably just another refugeeboy. How sad it must be to remain so insignificant and irrelevant. You've already stunk the place up, might as well go ahead and drop another one! LMAO! fishlips

Hummm, first question were given to AP who asked for explanations on Ben Ghazi and the IRS AND THEN asked Cameron a question on Syria. This, more or less, gave the football to Cameron and then to a British reporter who would not do a follow up on Ben Ghazi.
Of course, this was all set up Friday when the Obama administration leaked the IRS story in an attempt to get Ben Ghazi off the weekend TV shows and then help deflect todays press conference.
And it is over. Once again Obama ran, dodged and jumped the issues.
