Yep, two years ago Alabama's unemployment rate was 1% above the national average and now it is 1% BELOW the national average. I wonder what they did to cause that? And I wonder if it will work in the other 49 states?

What I have not been able to find out about Alabama's unemployment rate is the black unemployment rate. Now this is probably just a guess but I would think that the black unemployment rate has improved even more that the white's in the states because blacks are proportionally poorer than white and it is the poor people (you Liberals do like poor people, don't cha?) the most!!!
IEye nose, eye nose, dose epoples from Alabamer are stupid!!!

Over all, the Iraqis are far better off than they were ten years ago.
Oh, and yes, what is that little story about Rumsfeld hugging Saddam just prior to invading Iran? You do know that prior to WWII we were enemies with the Soviet Union and that after WWII we were enemies with the Soviet Union. But DURING WWII we were buddies. Do you know why? Have you ever heart 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend"???
And ya know what, no that Iraq is a sovereign nation, they can decide from which country they will buy planes from!!!
Ya know, you need to sue whom ever gave you a high school diploma from as you did not get your money's worth.
The above is by far the dumbest political analysis I've ever ever encountered in my life. Yes, they were better off with Saddam . He was a tyrant and a killer, but a tyrant and killer we knew and could deal with. Never in his whole life, had he lived 100 years, could Saddam have killed as half as many people as have been killed since 2003. Oh,you're Catholic, right? Ask the Iraqi Catholics and protestants how they are faring since Saddam was taken out. 90% have left, the other 10% are hiding, cowering, persecuted. There was a Jewish community before 2003. Gone. There were nuns. Gone. No AlQaeda, no Taliban, no Iranians prior to 2003 in Iraq. Well, gee, thank you GWB, They are there now, killing Iraqis. Again today.

You don't like dictatorships and non-respect of human rights, Rogue? When GWB ran out of WMD excuses for his dumb Iraq invasion, he started to mouth off about tyranny and lack of human rights in Iraq. So, he invaded. Well, Rogue, based on that criterion, when do you plan to invade Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, Libya, The Sudan, Syria, Pakistan, N. Korea, Sri Lanka, and, oh , the big guys, Russia, and most of all China, where freedom, democracy and human rights shine bright, right?, unlike pre-2003 Iraq, no sirree.

Wrong. It's probably because black people are now doing the illegals' menial jobs at minimum wage and no doubt still on food stamps.

Hummmm, now this is interesting. Look at that spike in the labor force for Alabama in early 2010. Why it spiked UP when they passed that law. I wonder why!!! None of the other states have that spike. I wonder why NOT?

To: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney
From: Tomas Young

I write this letter on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq War on behalf of my fellow Iraq War veterans. I write this letter on behalf of the 4,488 soldiers and Marines who died in Iraq. I write this letter on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of veterans who have been wounded and on behalf of those whose wounds, physical and psychological, have destroyed their lives. I am one of those gravely wounded. I was paralyzed in an insurgent ambush in 2004 in Sadr City. My life is coming to an end. I am living under hospice care.

I write this letter on behalf of husbands and wives who have lost spouses, on behalf of children who have lost a parent, on behalf of the fathers and mothers who have lost sons and daughters and on behalf of those who care for the many thousands of my fellow veterans who have brain injuries. I write this letter on behalf of those veterans whose trauma and self-revulsion for what they have witnessed, endured and done in Iraq have led to suicide and on behalf of the active-duty soldiers and Marines who commit, on average, a suicide a day. I write this letter on behalf of the some 1 million Iraqi dead and on behalf of the countless Iraqi wounded. I write this letter on behalf of us all—the human detritus your war has left behind, those who will spend their lives in unending pain and grief.

I write this letter, my last letter, to you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney. I write not because I think you grasp the terrible human and moral consequences of your lies, manipulation and thirst for wealth and power. I write this letter because, before my own death, I want to make it clear that I, and hundreds of thousands of my fellow veterans, along with millions of my fellow citizens, along with hundreds of millions more in Iraq and the Middle East, know fully who you are and what you have done. You may evade justice but in our eyes you are each guilty of egregious war crimes, of plunder and, finally, of murder, including the murder of thousands of young Americans—my fellow veterans—whose future you stole.

Your positions of authority, your millions of dollars of personal wealth, your public relations consultants, your privilege and your power cannot mask the hollowness of your character. You sent us to fight and die in Iraq after you, Mr. Cheney, dodged the draft in Vietnam, and you, Mr. Bush, went AWOL from your National Guard unit. Your cowardice and selfishness were established decades ago. You were not willing to risk yourselves for our nation but you sent hundreds of thousands of young men and women to be sacrificed in a senseless war with no more thought than it takes to put out the garbage.

I joined the Army two days after the 9/11 attacks. I joined the Army because our country had been attacked. I wanted to strike back at those who had killed some 3,000 of my fellow citizens. I did not join the Army to go to Iraq, a country that had no part in the September 2001 attacks and did not pose a threat to its neighbors, much less to the United States. I did not join the Army to “liberate” Iraqis or to shut down mythical weapons-of-mass-destruction facilities or to implant what you cynically called “democracy” in Baghdad and the Middle East. I did not join the Army to rebuild Iraq, which at the time you told us could be paid for by Iraq’s oil revenues. Instead, this war has cost the United States over $3 trillion. I especially did not join the Army to carry out pre-emptive war. Pre-emptive war is illegal under international law. And as a soldier in Iraq I was, I now know, abetting your idiocy and your crimes. The Iraq War is the largest strategic blunder in U.S. history. It obliterated the balance of power in the Middle East. It installed a corrupt and brutal pro-Iranian government in Baghdad, one cemented in power through the use of torture, death squads and terror. And it has left Iran as the dominant force in the region. On every level—moral, strategic, military and economic—Iraq was a failure. And it was you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, who started this war. It is you who should pay the consequences.

I would not be writing this letter if I had been wounded fighting in Afghanistan against those forces that carried out the attacks of 9/11. Had I been wounded there I would still be miserable because of my physical deterioration and imminent death, but I would at least have the comfort of knowing that my injuries were a consequence of my own decision to defend the country I love. I would not have to lie in my bed, my body filled with painkillers, my life ebbing away, and deal with the fact that hundreds of thousands of human beings, including children, including myself, were sacrificed by you for little more than the greed of oil companies, for your alliance with the oil sheiks in Saudi Arabia, and your insane visions of empire.

I have, like many other disabled veterans, suffered from the inadequate and often inept care provided by the Veterans Administration. I have, like many other disabled veterans, come to realize that our mental and physical wounds are of no interest to you, perhaps of no interest to any politician. We were used. We were betrayed. And we have been abandoned. You, Mr. Bush, make much pretense of being a Christian. But isn’t lying a sin? Isn’t murder a sin? Aren’t theft and selfish ambition sins? I am not a Christian. But I believe in the Christian ideal. I believe that what you do to the least of your brothers you finally do to yourself, to your own soul.

My day of reckoning is upon me. Yours will come. I hope you will be put on trial. But mostly I hope, for your sakes, that you find the moral courage to face what you have done to me and to many, many others who deserved to live. I hope that before your time on earth ends, as mine is now ending, you will find the strength of character to stand before the American public and the world, and in particular the Iraqi people, and beg for forgiveness.

Now poor old Jacques thinks we Americans MURDERED 1.25 million Vietnamese. How sad!!!!

Perhaps of all countries, democide in Vietnam and by Vietnamese is most difficult to unravel and assess. It is mixed in with six wars spanning 43 years (the Indochina War, Vietnam War, Cambodian War, subsequent guerrilla war in Cambodia, guerrilla war in Laos, and Sino-Vietnamese War), one of them involving the United States; a near twenty-one year formal division of the country into two sovereign North and South parts; the full communization of the North; occupation of neighboring countries by both North and South; defeat, absorption, and communization of the South; and the massive flight by sea of Vietnamese. As best as I can determine, through all this close to 3,800,000 Vietnamese lost their lives from political violence, or near one out of every ten men, women, and children.1 Of these, about 1,250,000, or near a third of those killed, were murdered.

Hey Jacques, how many Vietnamese were murdered AFTER we withdrew from Vietnam?

Deaths after U.S. withdrawal

Up to 155,000 refugees fleeing the final NVA Spring Offensive were killed or abducted on the road to Tuy Hoa in 1975. Sources have estimated that 165,000 South Vietnamese died in the re-education camps out of 1-2.5 million sent, while the number executed could have been as high as 200,000 (Jacqueline Desbarats estimates an absolute minimum of 100,000 executions). Rummel estimates that slave labor in the "New Economic Zones" caused 50,000 deaths (out of a total 1 million deported).[58][62] The number of Vietnamese boat people who died is estimated between 200,000 and 400,000, out of the 2.5 million that fled. There were also tens of thousands of suicides after the North Vietnamese take-over. Including Vietnam's foreign democide, Rummel estimates that a minimum of 400,000 and a maximum of slightly less than 2.5 million people died of political violence from 1975-87 at the hands of Hanoi. In 1988, Vietnam suffered a famine that afflicted millions.
Under the leadership of Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge killed 1-3 million Cambodians in the killing fields, out of a population of around 8 million. The Pathet Lao killed some 100,000 Hmong people in Laos.

Actually I feel sorry for Thomas Young, where ever he is. He claims Cheney was a draft dodger, but it was Bill Clinton who was a draft dodger. And what exactly did Cheney have anything to do with sending anyone anywhere. As VeeP, he has no authority to do anything!
It was Owl Gore who got a drop out of Vietnam after only four months in country and John F-up Kerry spend four months and ten days and they gave him a drop because of two false Purple Hearts.
Oh, to qualify for a Purple Heart, the wound must be "combat related" and only one of his three PH's were combat related.

From Wiki: According to Nixon Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird, "I didn’t approve of what he did, but I understood the protesters quite well", and he declined two requests from the Navy to court martial Reserve Lieutenant Kerry over his antiwar activity.
