Sorry Rogue, but Heritage debunked nothing. They simply disagreed with Nutting’s numbers and actually so did Factcheck, but that’s beside the point. The assertion is that spending under Obama is way out of control or some kind of inferno and that’s an outright lie.<quoted text>
Hey Poopo, he is YOUR Rex Nutting being DEBUNKED!!!!
The Truth about President Obama’s Skyrocketing Spending Brian DarlingMay 24, 2012
Spending has skyrocketed under President Obama, but of late some are claiming that the opposite is true. Case in point: MarketWatch columnist Rex Nutting wrote,“Obama spending binge never happened,” and Politifact rated this statement “mostly true.”
Yep, repeat a lie often enough, and the Libtards will believe it!
The second point is no one doubts Obama signed some emergency appropriations in 2009 as we all watched him do it with the stimulus and so forth. The question is how did we reach these spending levels in the first place and the answer is certainly not Obama. You can look at Nutting’s chart, politifacts chart, Haritage chart, Factchecks chart or anyone else’s chart to see how we reached these spending levels and the one thing certain is that on everyone’s chart you’ll see it’s Bush who got us there.
The truth is that the nearly 18 percent spike in spending in fiscal 2009 — for which the president is sometimes blamed entirely — was mostly due to appropriations and policies that were already in place when Obama took office.
That includes spending for the bank bailout legislation approved by President Bush. Annual increases in amounts actually spent since fiscal 2009 have been relatively modest. In fact, spending for the first seven months of the current fiscal year is running slightly below the same period last year, and below projections.
“Nutting and Mitchell hold Obama responsible for only 26 percent of that increase, but we conclude that Obama can “fairly”(open to interpretation) be assigned responsibility for as much as 38 percent”
So yeah, they disagreed with Nutting”s findings as well, but they certainly didn’t agree with yours.
