Point #1 Cutting from $2.8B for FY1993 to$700M to $300M for Fy1994, well obvious you have no idea how much war costs. And that answer is 500,000 South Vietnamese MURDERED. Thank you Democrats<quoted text>
FDR received 71% of the black votes in 1932. Truman in 1948 received 77% of the black votes.
The highest percent of black votes that a Republican President received prior to the mid 1960s was in 1956 when President Eisenhower got 39% of the black vote.
As you were wrong about the U.S. cutting off of funds for South Vietnam in 1974 and allegedly that FDR prolonged the Great Depression you are again wrong about the black votes prior to mid 1960s.
Do you understand why people on this forum can't take you seriously?
Congress places a $1 billion ceiling on military aid to South Vietnam for fiscal year 1974. This figure was trimmed further to $700 million by August 11. Military aid to South Vietnam in fiscal year 1973 was $2.8 billion; in 1975 it would be cut to $300 million. Once aid was cut, it took the North Vietnamese only 55 days to defeat the South Vietnamese forces when they launched their final offensive in 1975.
Point #2, the Great Depression ended in 1946 when we entered a Recession (but not a Depression),
What was the GDP for 1929, 1930,...... 1941? Not the GDP GROWTH RATE as you like to point out but the actual GDP.
How about $103.6B for 1929, with a low of $56.5B in 1933 to $101.4B for 1940 and $126.7B for 1941.
During WWII GDP was forced and it was not until 1946 when we stopped forcing the economy that we did not go back into a Depression.
Oh, FDR boosted government spending 20% over 1932 and had doubled to $15B in 1940 but zoomed to $105B in 1944 and then tapering to $40B in 1946.
Point #3, the question was not what percentage of blacks voted for whom but for which party they identified themselves with.
In 1936 on 44% of Blacks Identified themselves with the Democrat Party and by 1948 it had gone over 50%(probably because Truman had
desegregated the military) and it jumped to over 70% when LBJ endorsed the Civil Rights Act when Goldwater did not. But what has keep the black aligned with the Democrats is ..... Welfare!!!!
