Oh, the term I frequently use is "ghetto person" which does not denote one's race just like "red neck" does not denote race. You can have a black redneck too but I would just call him a red neck.
And just like all people who live in ghettos are Ghetto people, people who live in rural areas are red necks.

Grateful you supply reliable statistics comparing govt supervisors ratio to private sector supervisors. Or if proven wrong, another one of your famous red herrings of chain yanking? Of course, feel free to tell me to look it up myself, even though YOU brought it up.
<quoted text>
Are you serious? I ask "Grateful you supply reliable statistics comparing govt supervisors ratio to private sector supervisors" and you come up with a personal army anecdote? Do you enjoy being ridiculed or what?
And then, to push said ridicule even further, you come up with the WW2 German rifle that the woman was disposing of and the officers, who incidentally are govt workers, who told her to hold off, it was worth $40,000. Well, well, govt workers who seemed to know what they were doing. How about that? Wonder how many supervisors they had?
Get serious, Rogue, because right now you should be blushing and hiding. I asked that you "supply reliable statistics comparing govt supervisors ratio to private sector supervisors." Not a personal anecdote and irrelevant story about a rifle.
Save time, just say you don't have the numbers and that you made another statement that you have no way of backing up. What is that, the 200th in the last year?
Oh, my sister is a supervisor at a light bulb factory but that does not stop her from getting on a forklift when it is needed. You just go to any union shop and you will see forklift operators and the supervisors and the supervisor not only will not get on a a fork lift, he can't because of .... union contracts! And almost all governments are UNIONIZED!!!

Now I have never heard the term "cornball brother" before but it does sound racist in the context that he used, "is [Griffin] a brother, or is he a cornball brother?".
To me it is inappropriate to call some one a "brother" while not calling other black men "brother" too. It is like when you Libtards claim that one president is "my president" and not use that term for a Republican president.
Yep, Libtards, divide and conquer. It is like a flock of sheep being divided by a pack of wolves.
I'm not American so of course he is not my president. Were I American, ALL 44 presidents would've been MY president, because election result reflects the will of the people, of the majority. I don't particularly like my prime minister. He represents everything I am not. Conservative, dinosaur-like, yet I want him to do well as that will profit everyone. And when he fails, I blame him, sure, and I criticize, but the failure does not make me rejoice, just to get back at him. Know what I mean? Finally, he was elected by the majority of electors, so, like it or not, he's MY prime minister. I don't see anyone else who was elected in his place, and neither do you as far as your president goes.

You are derailed.I asked for numbers, govt vs pvt enterprise supervisor-wise. In your preceding reply, you supply a personal anectdote, TWO persons. Then ramble on about a WW2 German carbine. As if that was not enough, you return with the above post, another personal ancecdote from your sister. Are you mad? Why do you continue making outrageous claims that you cannot back up?

Incidentally, didn't you say her light bulb fatory had been moved to China?

Oh Jacques, how much is the director of the American Red Cross compensated? How about the Salvation Army? How about Unicef? How about Catholic relied?
Now, how much of each buck people donate to those organizations actually gets to the people who are in need?
Jacques Ottawa wrote:

You want to get the best people for those charitable organisations, don't you? And you expect them to hold that important and difficult a job and not be paid? You want them to work for nothing or peanuts? And how do you attract the good ones?
Are you for one second comparing the salaries of corporations heads to heads of the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Unicef? Really? Salvation army? Major in charge makes about %60,000 a year, in ANY city. Yes, Unicef, Red Cross chiefs make over $200,000. That sounds fair to me, in view of the scope of the work they do and the qualifications and experience required to hold such an important job. Again, how does that compare with private enterprise?
As to the proportion of admin costs and actual moneys donated, I'm not going out on a limb on that, but you certainly don't hesitate to do so. Have you any figures? And if so, anything to back them up? I do know, from the yearly reports they submit, that the Salvation Army here in Ottawa, along with Union Mission and Shepherds of Good Hope spend more or less 15% on administration, rest going to good works. Sounds awfully reasonable to me.
Oh, so it is okay to get paid big money for running a charitable organization but not for a CEO of a major company that employees thousands of workers?!? Naw, you ain't no bigot!?!

Wrong, Rogue. Okay, I'll accept that a baker was earning upwards of $85,000 a year. Will you accept that the CEO was earning over $1.5 million a year, and with his exec minions paid in the millions? Do you accept that the CEO should earn upwards of 15 times the annual emolument that the indispensable baker earns? Is that a good ratio? Can the baker do without the company? NO. Can the company do without the baker? NO. CEO should by all rights earn more than the baker, yes, I agree, but 15 times more? Why? Does he own the company? NO. Is he the company's founder? In most cases, NO.
I've dealt with unionized AND non-unionized people all my life. Some good, some bad from both on an equal basis. Sorry you had bad experiences, but I ask, why were the unionized Winn-Dixie okay and not the others?
As I asked before, Rogue, are the big guys paying you for being in their servitude?
Nope, no is is paying my. Other than my military retirement all I have is my investments my investments. I own two cars, a small fishing boat and an airplane outright and I won about a quarter of my house. But with a 4.25% loan, I am in no hurry to pay it off.

How in heaven's name can you be so wrong and at same time make up a whole cheering section for the upper crust? How many CEOs have been fired lately, even in the wake of the 2008 corporate meltdown? Name 'em. And when you do manage to name a few, tell us about their severance pay, bonuses and pensions. Compare that to employees, bakers, etc.
As to movie stars, athletes, who are way overpaid, NO ONE is forced to pay to watch them, unlike the commodities that big corporations make and that workers HAVE to produce at an unfair fraction of execs' salaries and consumers forced to buy at inflated prices. Comparing movie stars and jocks to ordinary folks is really emphasizing the oranges and apples fable. As to movies and sports, well, Rogue, if idiots who pay outrageous prices to watch them just stopped going or reduced their attendance, market,as you said, would react and admittance price would be reduced along with salaries. When it comes to consumer items and workers, it doesn't work that way, as both are essential. God, why do I waste my time like this?
Ah, workers are not "forced" to make anything. They can get a service job.
As far as what are Fair wages for workers and staff, who decides? How about market forces?!?
