You think the teacher's job , really, is to badmouth the president and his wife? BTW, she promotes healthy diets in a country that has the most obsese citizens in the world. What's wrong with that? No teacher, specially in grade school, should be allowed to give her/his political views.

You agree with that? What is the matter with you?

Hi Dad You’re In Jail, And Other GOP Vote Frauders ‘Testing The System’

After hearing ad nauseam about how Dumbocrats were totally going to ACORN it up this year — and Pundit Press, among others, thinks they totally did — it seems the only three people who actually tried to in-person vote fraud this year were Republicans. So weird! One was a sad idiot lady in sad, idiot Nevada. The other two were some jerkoffs in New Mexico — one of whom, naturally, was a GOP poll watcher. Two of the three gave the same excuse for trying to vote two times each: they were “testing the system,” because of course they were. The third was just stealing his own son’s vote.

Here is our favorite tale of election day skullduggery:

According to Bernalillo County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver, elections workers got suspicious when the silver-haired father showed up to vote and told them he was born in 1994. He was still allowed to cast a ballot, but the workers took down his license plate number when he left. Later, he showed up at a different location and voted under his own name, according to KOB.

When reporter Gadi Schwartz tracked [Thomas] Pino down at his home, the father denied voting twice. His son, however, happened to pull up in a car a short time later. Seeming to know nothing about the allegations against his father, the son told the station he hadn’t yet voted but still intended to.

The elder Pino later called Schwartz to tell him he had made a mistake by voting on behalf of his son, but said his son had given him permission. Both were registered as Republicans at the same Albuquerque address, according to KOB.

It’s like the Dad never even listens when the son is trying to tell him he’s gonna vote later. All he wanted was to go vote. And he wouldn’t give it to him. Just a vote! And people say he’s crazy? When he went to your schools and your churches and your institutional learning facilities? He’s not on drugs. He just wants to vote!

But what about our New Mexico poll watcher? Well, after receiving a provisional ballot he triumphantly announced he had already voted.(He seems to be the only one who didn’t try to actually cast a second ballot after “testing the system,” but ended up in handcuffs anyway.)

What about delightful Roxanne Rubin?

In Nevada, 56-year-old Roxanne Rubin, a Republican, was arrested on Nov. 2 for allegedly trying to vote twice, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. The newspaper quoted a report by an investigator with the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office that said Rubin “was unhappy with the process; specifically in that her identification was not checked.”

Rubin allegedly voted at one polling location in Henderson, Nev. on Oct. 29 and then went to another voting location in Las Vegas to try to vote again. Poll workers told her records indicated she had already voted, but Rubin allegedly told them she hadn’t.

See, that would have been the time to pull out the “I am James O’Keefe!” instead of being all “nuh uh no I didn’t, let me vote again!” Because now you will go to prison forever, or whatever kind of sentence a D felony carries.

Looks like the Congress will cooperate with the White House on immigration. Good for them. Bodes well for the budget negotiations. Many Repubs are toning it down now, they realise that the Romney far-right strategy was not the way to go. Would be a great Christmas gift if both houses and Obama could get an agreement, a fair one, on the fiscal cliff before Christmas. Would be great for the rest of the world too. Nuch is at stake.

Prominent Florida Bigots Unite Against Holidays For Perverted, Evil, Terrorist-Cult Children

Today’s lesson in religious tolerance comes to us from Florida, where we are talking about Islam, so, just a heads up, today’s lesson is going to be awful.

The request was to close Broward County schools for two Muslim holidays, the end of Ramadan and the end of Hajj, for the same reason that the schools close for Christian and Jewish holidays: Thousands of students aren’t in school on those days, to observe them. That does not sound so crazy, right? Especially considering there are 18,000 Muslim students — 7 percent of the student population— that it could affect?

No! You are wrong! Turns out, we need the 82d Airborne to drop into South Florida RIGHT NOW, because it has been overrun by the Taliban.

Tell us what the terrorists were asking for, HuffPo:

“We’re not asking them to close the whole district down, but at least give the kids off,” CAIR Executive Director Nezar Hamze told The Huffington Post, noting he has received hundreds of complaints from Muslim parents whose children miss a day of school to observe the holidays…

The school district cites high absenteeism, not religious observances, as the reason it closes on Christian and Jewish holidays.

Got it. So, even if it doesn’t end up being something the school district decides to do, it’s not a crazy thing to ask about, right?

“Muslim people are beautiful people, but their religion, which is Islam, is not good. It’s very violent and evil,” argued the Rev. O’Neal Dozier of the Worldwide Christian Center in Pompano Beach.

Ah. Well, that is slightly less accepting than would seem reasonable. At least everyone else was being cool, right?

Outside the meeting, protestors carried signs reading “Protect Our Children No Holiday For Perverted Cult” and “Teach Math Not Sharia.”

Florida! Color us shocked! The state that didn’t finish counting Tuesday’s presidential votes until Sunday is not really doing that well culturally?

Also, for those of you wondering about the charming pastor who said Muslims suck: He’s the same guy who said gay people were so disgusting they “make God want to vomit,” a repulsive statement for which Rick Santorum made him honorary chairman of his Florida campaign.

So we’ve got the bigoted minister,“sharia,” and “evil.” All that we seem to be missing here is “jihad” and “terrorism.” Anyone?

“The group promoting and asking for this is associated with terrorism,” charged Joe Kaufman, chairman of Coral Springs-based Americans Against Hate.

There it is!

Another opponent accused the Florida chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations of “cultural jihad.”

Hooray! We’ve hit all the bases! For the children.

(Hamze has “caused problems” with his crazy “requests for tolerance” before — when he confronted Rep. Allen West (R-Gun) about his treatment of Muslims, West responded with “You attacked us.”)

And yes, in case you are wondering, Joe Kaufman and Hamze have met before too: When Hamze tried to join the Broward Republican Party, Kaufman blocked his membership with a weird campaign so hateful, The Daily Show didn’t really even have to try when they made him look like an insane person. Then, obviously, Kaufman ran for Congress.

You might be compelled to think it’s not the entire state that responds to “Let’s give children a day off from school” by saying “You are evil and also a terrorist.” Isn’t there a liberal chunk of Florida, you might ask?

Yes! There is! This is what happens in the liberal chunk of Florida.[

Republicans still pretty baffled by that whole gender gap thing

As Republicans try to pick themselves up and carry on after their humiliating defeat on Election Day, they can't grasp at enough straws to try to figure out just what went wrong.
And if this kind of wisdom, from former George w. Bush adviser Karen Hughes, is indicative of the party's deep denial of reality, don't expect them to figure it out any time soon:

And if another Republican man says anything about rape other than it is a horrific, violent crime, I want to personally cut out his tongue. The college-age daughters of many of my friends voted for Obama because they were completely turned off by Neanderthal comments like the suggestion of “legitimate rape.”
Nice try, but FAIL. It would be nice and easy for Republicans to blame that 18-point gender gap on Todd "magic lady parts" Akin and Richard "rape is a gift from God" Mourdock, but the reality is that the gender gap existed long before either of them said a word. The gender gap persisted throughout the election, closing only briefly after President Barack Obama's less than stellar performance at the first presidential debate. But women were turned off by the Republican Party long before "Hey, ladies, quit complaining about rape, it's not that bad" became the Republicans' closing argument to voters.
Mitt Romney launched his "three-pronged strategy" in April to woo the women; that didn't work. House Republicans announced exciting research into just how lady voters work.(That clearly remained a mystery to them.) Women in swing states were especially turned off by Romney's attacks on women's health care and his vow to "get rid of" Planned Parenthood. And putting uber-extremist Paul Ryan, who cosponsored and voted for the very worst anti-woman bills in Congress, on the ticket didn't exactly help. And then of course there was Ann Romney and her repeated insistence that women don't care about any of that stuff and need to "wake up" and realize just how awesome Mitt is.(That, shockingly, didn't work either.)

And all of this, all of it, happened before Akin became a household name.

But it's cool, Republicans. You keep telling yourself that opposing equal pay doesn't matter. That vowing to defund women's health care doesn't matter. That opposing protection for victims of domestic violence doesn't matter. That 54 anti-choice bills in the past two years don't matter. Keep believing that all those women totally would have voted for Romney if it weren't for a few dumb Republican men who said some egregious things about rape. And be sure to keep pushing your War on Women and your anti-woman agenda. Maybe it'll work for you next time.

Republicans still having a sad about America's decline into socialism and decay because Obama

Poor, poor Republicans. They were so certain of their unskewed, non-gay math, and they're still reeling from the devastation of the completely predicted but nonetheless shocking to them defeat on Election Day. Like poor Beth Cox, a hardcore Romney campaign volunteer who was dumb enough to write "Victory Day!!" on her calendar:

She had devoted her life to causes she believed were at the heart of her faith and at the core of her Republican Party. She counseled young married families at church, spoke about right to life in area schools and became a stay-at-home mom with two daughters.
Now, in a single election night, parts of her country had legalized marijuana, approved gay marriage and resoundingly reelected a president who she worried would “accelerate our decline.”
Bless her little twisted Republican heart—she really believed Mitt Romney was going to save her from the eeeeeeeevil President Barack Obama. After all, her favorite sources of propaganda-as-news had told her he would. That's how she knew Romney's victory was all but certain; after all, she'd unskewed the numbers herself:

She turned on her computer and pulled up an electoral map that she had filled out a few days before the election. She had predicted the outcome twice — once coming up with a narrow Romney win and once more with a blowout.
Florida: red.

Colorado: red.

Virginia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin: all red.[...]

Romney’s thorough defeat had come more as a shock than as a disappointment, and now Cox stared at the actual results on her computer and tried to imagine what the majority of her country believed.

“Virginia went blue? Really?” she said.“Southern-values Virginia?”

“And Colorado? Who the heck is living in Colorado? Do they want drugs, dependency, indulgence? Don’t they remember what this country is about?”
Cox, who is "not naïve" and "not ignorant," according to Cox, has some deep insights as to why her map didn't exactly pan out, and hopes that the party will stop being so white, stop saying crazy things about rape, and will "never again run a presidential ticket without including a woman or a minority." And since the party is pretty much all white and all male, that will totally happen. Especially if Cox is willing to set aside her "volunteering, her scrapbooking" and her "Godly life" to run for state office, as her fellow Tennessee Republicans have encouraged her to do because her kind of stupid is exactly what the party is looking for, apparently.(Come on, Beth, of course scrapbooking is really important to the fate of the nation, but your country and your party need you right now!)
And that seems like the right direction for the Republican Party to take. After the "shell-shocking" shellacking the party took on Election Day, and the so-called soul-searching it must now force upon itself to figure out why the GOP vision of America was rejected, finding more candidates like Cox—who think math has a liberal bias, Fox "News" is the best source of information, and someone had better step up and do something to save America from the gays and pot-smokers before it's too late—is definitely the best way for the party to change course and start winning back all those Americans it lost this time around.

Yeah, Republicans. Go with that.
