The Lifer doesn't understand anything....hiring has nothing to do with dems or repubs.

Generally, an A type manager will hire A type people, while a B type manager will hire C type people. C type people usually are not in a position to hire anybody.

As an example of an incompetent manager hiring an equally incompetent person, just look at GW Bush and his hiring of Michael Brown to head FEMA.

Here is the first sentence: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

That says that (1) people born in the USA who are (2) subject to the jurisdiction of the USA are (3) citizens of the USA. It does NOT say that only citizens are subject to the jurisdiction.

And the US Supreme Court has ruled that "subject to the jurisdiction" simply means being in the USA with the exception of the few people who are NOT subject to the jurisdiction, meaning foreign diplomats and their families. That is what the Wong Kim Ark case ruled six to two, and it is the law.

Yes our constitution does not recognize dual citizenship status. That means that it ignores the fact that Obama was a dual citizen at birth and accepts only the fact that he was a US citizen at birth due to his place of birth. Oh, and Woodrow Wilson was also a dual citizen at birth, USA/Britain, due to the fact that his mother never relinquished her British citizen status despite becoming a US citizen by marriage.

So tell us DLMTR, why is this guy there to begin with? What's his reason for just standing around a voting station? Dressed in all black, wearing some stupid looking hat with some kind of medal on it does not make me think he's there to open doors for little old ladies!

By the way - I held the door open for three ladies (in addition to Mrs LTR) at the poll this AM. None seemed overly traumatized by the experience
