You can always count on a few things from nature:

- Floods in the spring.
- Leaves on the ground in autumn.
- Snow in the winter.
- And savages killing others in the summer.

Let's see how many posts occur before someone brings up Daley or the police must do something about these killings.

That "kills" me. They can't stop this unless we seriously eliminate individual freedoms and increase police powers. THey can't even contain it no matter how many forces they put on the street.

But, someone will blame them.

Looks like a busy weekend! Just wait... the worse the economy becomes and when more people's unemployment benifits expire this will seem like a light weekend of action. No jobs, no unemployment, no hope, calls for desperate measures.

Let me guess that everyone with the exception of Marcelino Rivera was African-American. For a city with only 35.6% black population they really take an unfair share of crime statistics.

Only 3 posts before someone threw out the blame game card. I expected at least 8 to 10 before this idiotic comment his the board.

I am not a fan of Mayor McCheese.

But, I am also not a fan of paying more taxes to pay more police to place more patrol cars and people in these savage neighborhoods. The residents pay very little in taxes for services, yet expect the biggest portion of them.

Time they take control of their culture(s) and quit blaming others for their lack of social values, respect, and basic human decency.

Now now. Let's not go THERE. Remember, in this current situation of "change and transparency" we must focus this problem on:

- the police
- the politicians
- the taxpayer
- the business owners
- the schools
- the pro-gun citizens
- the gun manufacturers

But, never ever ever on the culture that is consistently demonstrating violence, hate, and ignorance. Not just here in Chicago. But, in every American city.

Interested in hearing more about Marcelino Rivera's death. He is in a predominately black neighborhood. But yeah, the South Side black area and somewhat on the West sides is where the VAST majority of all the shootings are taking place. Where is Jesse L. Jackson? Where are the reverends? What about this Cease Fire that we the taxpayers throw money at, that doesn't work? Nothing works. Don't blame the police, they aren't baby sitters and can't be everywhere. And when they were tough, the fake reverends would be moaning and crying racism and that they were targeted. They reap what they sow. Please make it stop before gunning down people becomes an Olympic sport if Chicago is chosen.

I am sure the problems you state will exacerbate the situation.

But our society has an incurable disease of violence that goes much deeper than just economic problems.

We have truly lost our moral bearings.

I notice these shootings mostly take place late at night outside. Why are people hanging around outside all night? Go home and lock your doors.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice a theme or trend with this violence in our American cities?

Here's a quiz:

1. Are there poor people anywhere else in our country than in our black urban areas?

2. Are drugs known to exist in other than black urban areas?

3. Are guns available across America?

4. Is the economy difficult on millions of Americans now?

5. Are there schools that provide less education in some states or cities than others?

6. Does it get warm in the summer in every town and city in America or just the black urban areas?

The answers are obvious. Yet, the violence, thuggary, and savage behavior has a theme of only occurring in the urban black areas. And definitely growing in the Hispanic areas too.

Why? We all suffer from similar cultural and social situations. And individually some people make the wrong decision. There's no question there are idiots in every culture, race, city, religion, etc.

But, why so many wrong decisions in this culture.........across all of America and the world?

I find it interesting that thousands of immigrants come to Chicago from Europe. There are idiots, thugs, and savages amongst them. Those individuals are not directing or controlling the culture. And if they did they have now gone underground and are less public than in the past.

The law abiding, anti-drug, pro-education, and civil immigrants define their culture.

No respect for others.
NO respect for themselves.
No fear of consequences.
Take the easy way out with drug money.

Be cool with the hip-hop, lingo, and appearance than education and self growth. Follow the crowd.

Use role models like Vick, O.J., and other thugs versus the Rhodes Scholar from Fla St., who happens to be a proNFL prospect too.

To all those guilt-bearing white folks who voted for Obama, thinking that his election would inspire an epiphany of peace, love, and brotherhood among african-americans: Well, guess not, huh?

Right on. We were told Obama was supposed to be a positive influence for these folks. They would see a black man hold a family together, stay loyal to one female, support and provide and see his kids. It hasn't happened, and won't happen.

Some of these people have the attitude of how dare you talk down to me. For example, Jesse L. Jackson wanted to cut off the testicles of Obama for supposedly speaking down to black people regarding issues of morality. This is the same Jesse L. Jackson who accused Obama of acting white. For sure Jesse would consider Obama an "uncle tom", just as many in the black community consider Bill Cosby an uncle tom for his speaking out on the problems and ways to correct the problems in the black community.

Things will not change, only get worse, if issues are morality are seen as talking down to the community. If so called reverends want to cut off testicles for issues of morality, something that a reverend should be preaching about.

The state I live in, Guerrero, has roughly the same population as the city of Chicago. It also has a murder rate roughly the same. Go figure.
