I didn't think Susan Sarandon and Sigourney Weaver were hot when they were in their 30s. Goldie Hawn never did much for me, either.
I'll agree with you on Goldie Hawn, but Susan Sarandon and Sigourney Weaver make me lay on the floor and smack my hands and feet together like a seal.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It is a matter of perspective.

I am in my mid 60's.

I am either a widow nor semi retired or intersted in teh men with whom I work, but I like teh sex stuff and after years of practuce I am pretty good at it.

To each his own taste- there are a lot of baby boomers out here.

All of you will get here soon enough-- if you are lucky.

<quoted text>She does not want to rik alienating the custmer with a direct confrontation. It is an accepted tactic to cut out an Abby column and tape it to the mirror or at the reception desk. Then it is not directed at any one person, and malefactors(great word) can be pointed to the posted notice.
An people are standing at the reception desk unattended long enough to read an Abby column? Seems to me that it would be more effective to tape a sign that says "Please turn off cell phones while in the stylist chair" instead of an advice column exchange.

You can make out with Oldie Hawn and Susan Sureisdumb all you want.
I'm gonna make out with Emma Watson.
Didn't say I want to make out with them. Just adding a face the the concept of "60 year old". 60 year old sounds (to me) like old gray wrinkled unattractive granny. Thinking of that making out requires the brain bleach. But when you add the face of those women I mentioned, it don't require no brain bleach.

Goldie hawn
Susan Saranandon
Sigourney Weaver
Not Kate Upton, but not bad either.
The one that popped up on a few lists that I don't get is Helen Mirren. Who finds this woman attractive?

I don't believe you.
Believe it. I did that for almost 30 years. You would not BELIEVE the crap people think is ok to do while you have sharp implements and chemicals in your hand. There are soooooooooo many people who are sooooooooooo incredibly lucky that I have self-restraint.

The difference is that I would tell them I can't work around the phone. Some salons, corporate ones, are all wussy about stuff and don't let the stylists say anything (or the managers). I always owned my own salon (or had a business partner) so I could (and would) say anything I wanted to say. <shrug>

Taping a column to the mirror is less dictatorial than posting a sign... at least in the beauty shops where I have gone

But how likely is it to be read? By what percentage of the patrons?

Taping a copy of an advice column to the mirror is as effective as when a boss addresses the entire department about a problem instead of the ONE PERSON who's actually doing something wrong.

That is, not at all effective.

Stylist Nixes CellPhones in bold face on top of what is clealy a Dear Abby column will remind patrons to hang leave it in their purse.

Don't they do stuff like that in baraber shops- get the barber to do men's health reminders, like get your PSA checked etc?

Men's health reminders? I've never heard of anything like it. I keep my hair short so I get my hair cut at home with clippers, but when last I went to a barber with regularity, the only thin I read where the magazines and newspapers left for us to read while waiting. I can't imagine why you think a barber has men's health tips posted on the wall.
