Vinny, please start Noah with Gooden and Deng up front. With Gordon and Rose in the backcourt, this is the Bulls most potent and versatile lineup. This is how we should start each game. Noah will turn out decent if given the chance. He will be a much better player than Thomas ever will be because he has more basketball sense. Go Vinny! Go Bulls!

No, Ben Gordon has to jell quickly to Rose.

Back to the Bench for you Ben when Larry Buster Hughes Returns. Ben has been jacked around more than any player on the Bulls since Tony Kukoc.
I can't wait until he's out of here next year. He deserves so much more. Why wasn't he asked to be Captain? This whole situation sucks! When Rose turns free agent down the road he'll have a idea about what the NBA is all about in Chicago.

Also for guy shooting Questionable Shots his field goal pecentage is pretty good you company clueless coach Vinnie. In fact his playing is probably 3 times as good as your coaching decisions when it comes to rotation.

I support this column.

Ben Gordan needs to play. What other options do the Bulls have?

Larry Hughes in the starting lineup makes me shudder. He's an offensive liability. Bad shots, bad passing.

Thabo also should not be starting. The guy can't make his own shot and missed a layup last night. A layup. He's just not developing.

Meanwhile Gordon is the Bulls' best weapon. Whether he starts a game or not he seemingly always ends up with more playing time than the starter. The Bulls need players on the floor who who can create their own shot. Gooden, Rose and occasionally Deng have all proven they can do that. Get them all on the floor together.

While Deng got the big contract, I've yet to see him take over a game like Gordan. How many 30 point games does Deng have? Gordon does it consistently. His liability on defense has been exaggerated.

I really get tired of my posts just fricken' "dissapearing" when I hit the post comment button. It only happens when I write a really long one, or sit there for a while before finishing. I don't know, but it sucks. Anyway, Ben Gordon is not the Bulls "problem." Anyone who shoots career 43% from the field and 40% from three is not the problem. Sure he drives to the basket only to get slapped down a lot of the time, and lose the ball. Sure his dribbling is suspect, and results in critical turnovers, especially late in ball games. But those situations can be somewhat prevented with some direction from the coaches. Ever been to a Bulls game at the UC? You'll see Ben Gordon doing chin ups off the rim, and entertaining the crowd like I did. Hell, Bens a good guy. He's just not that bright when it comes to money, and how he sees himself can be a little distrorted by the limelight, but what successful, talneted person is not somehow like that? No, Ben Gordon is not "the problem." Luol Deng shooting 47.8% from the field for his career is not the problem. Andres Nocioni shooting 43% for his career is not the problem. Gooden's 47.1 FG % career is not the problem. Tyrus Thomas on the other hand, he's shooting a whopping 30% this year. That's a problem. Last year 42% which for a scoring forward is not good. Joakim Noah scoring capapbility even just finishing around the basket is weak. That's a problem. Aaron Gray scoring 3 or 4 points a game, that's a problem. He gives up three times a s much as that with his terrible defense. Who drafted Thomas(trade) NO. 2 pick and Noah at a No. 9 pick: John Paxson. Who said nice guys can't finish last? Please fire Paxson or we will never get All--Star players, let alone players that can score period from the 4 or 5 spots. He has failed miserably appraising talent with two top picks, and all his other successes are just decent players due to their limitations. For the love of god, please get a new G.M. so we can get some scoring talent and athleticism to compete with the rest of the league.

If that's Vinnie's attitude that it's ok with him about Gordon's shot selection and the fact that he is selfish and screws up any discipline for the long run- then Vinnie should be fired. Period. What a lame coach.
How about respecting the fans for a change who want to see a professional effort that leads to improving this franchise?

KC you dunce, Capt Klank Hinrich is not a NBA quality starter and his not a leader. Klank Hinrich is the fourth best guard on the bulls..he is not trade material, over paid and over rated.........

SI.COM documented Klank's shooting in the last 5 minutes of games at less that 16%.........he passes the ball to double covered Ben with 3 seconds left on the clock.

KC when will you remove your lips from
Paxson's rear end

JIM-BOB, No-shot Noah is a joke on his best days and a clown on the other days..

No-Shot Noah should be glued to the bench. He is a attack killer. Vinnie
Boom-Batz should glue No-Shot's pie hole shut tooooooooooooo.

apparently, i am not the only guy that notices that hinrich can't play basic basketball. there are guys in high school that would embarass him. can paxson, del negro, skiles expain in detail what hinrich does that makes him a captain, leader, most valuable? absolutely not! and they never have nor will. hinrich is a fraud and a figment of paxsons imagination. good riddance forever to hinrich.

You have to admit that the Bulls problem for seemingly forever has been getting a good big man and a good front line. Why? Look at other teams. Decent centers are hard to come by, but what about those twins out of UCLA, drafted way down, but doing pretty good this year? And the Lakers center, how'd they know to draft him? He wasn't famous before they took him.
It goes to show that drafts are the real core of a franchise future and the Bulls need to do better job of this in the future. Any one who saw Noah could have to see his limitations, no matter his energy levels. A guy like that just won't fill out, and fill up the position.
You need another type. And they're out there. T.Thomas is still a project, but didn't the Bulls try out Brandon Roy and the other Portland player in that year.
They were convinced Tyrus outplayed him in the finals, but was Tyrus a scorer in college? Then when they can get a true scorer like Beasely (already with one 30 point game), they go for a guard like Rose.
Well O.K. so he's going to be a superstar too, but what is it about not developing a strong front line with this team. When they had two great young ones in Elton Brand and Ron Artest they traded them away. Long long ago. But those two could have been franchise players if some psychologist would have worked with Ron. I loved him as a Bulls rookie. Obvious talent. Traded away for......Jaylen Rose? Remember that one?

Kc. What would Kirk get you in the market? Give us an example-you cant becasue he has no value. Gordon is gone after this year sit his but on the bench. I will say this though due to Gordon ability to score he would have been more valuable to sign to an extension than Deng. Start talking about next years draft.

They are looking like an Excellent Backcourt Duo!
The Problem with the team however, is up Front.
Deng on up has to pefore Better.
Deng has been jacking up Bad Shots, and even when his stats seem good, his actual Game was Shakey at best.
In other words, his stsats don't tell the story of his game.
We need some kind of Consistant play from our Bigs.
We can't get a streak going if they can't get it together.
So Im hoping for the Best.

Hughes is taller than Gordon but look at his stats! He is an offensive joke. He can't make his shots but that doesn't stop him from jacking them up in large quantities and having horrible shooting percentages throughout the preseason (and the rest of his career outside of one season that is getting further and further into the past). He shoots outside of the offense and short into the shot clock. He is in love with a leaning fade away he never makes. He is the worst guard to start. At least Thabo knows that if he isn't making his shots he shouldn't take 20 of them. Hughes is a risky defender who gets out of position on defense a lot to try for the steel (and missing more often than not). The only reason why they'd start him is because he is getting paid a lot. Not because he is actually good at anything. And that is a disservice to the Rose and the rest of the team.

All I can say is there is a reason the fans aren't running the team.

Obviously I am not watching the same bulls games that some of the post's are watching. I can bet that if any team in the league could make the numbers work they would trade for Hinrich in a minute. Hinrich is not that bad. Yeah he can't shoot as well as you would like, but his passing and defense are pretty decent. The problem is that the bulls gave Hinrich that huge contract and then impeded his development by starting Duhon next to him for how many years and now drafting Rose. Yeah Rose is better I will admit... Hopefully they will figure things out.... Trade Hinrich to a team such as Miami or Golden State for either a 2 guard or a post player of decency... Don't jack around Rose the same way that they did Hinrich.

It is pretty clear that Rose and Gordon are the best duo for this team. Their styles complement each other well! Vinnie needs to face the fact that this is not a very good defensive team no matter who is in there. And the better defensive players on the roster are terrible on the offensive end! So why not run and gun with Rose, Gordon, Deng, Gooden, and Noah(at least he knows his role)! Noce, Hughes, and Tyrus off the bench. The Bulls play better with a shorter rotation!!!!

I would assume that an NBA coach whose job is on the line based on wins and loses knows more than you. If Gordons shot selection bothers you, tough. His shooting % is higher than anyone elses WITH those hard shots. The coach understands that, he would rather Gordon take shots all night long than watch Tyrus, Noah , Sefalosha and the rest of the BRICKLAYERS shoot open good shots because they clank, clank clank. The idea that Gordon is selfish is ridiculous because he and the coaching staff understand what his purpose in the game is. SHOOT and SCORE, which is why he may be one the NBAs best offensive weapon at the moment.

Maybe it's just me: But has anyone noticed that when The Bulls face the Cavs, Luol Deng pisses his pants when Lebron is on the court?

I think we've been over-sold on his talent. This would be the fourth consecutive player that GM Pax has overpaid.
Tyson Chandler
Ben Wallace
Kirk Hinrich
Luol Deng
