We actually talked about this study in our social psych class. There have been many studies like that and there is a positive correlation between the amount of older brothers and chance of being gay.
Did the studies propose any theories why this occurs?

No, from what I remember there was correlation but no causation.

Sounds as if you're a closet gay.

We tend to dislike those that have characteristics similar to our that we don't like. Does that make sense?

We also tend to insult others with our greatest fears.

Makes for fun counter-insults sometimes hehe.

Bryony is able to hide his location! Cool! Trolling would be so much more fun! ;)

New study out this week showed that even right-wing, religious, conservative college kids overwhelmingly support legal gay marriage.

Yay! There's hope!

It makes perfect sense and I know it well. The things about an ex (Mark) that annoyed the hell out of me were true of me, also (whawt an eye opener for me: "Am I that annoying about this?"). Same with the current guy. It keeps me grounded and aware that no one is perfect, you take the not-great with the great.(not-great doesn't necessarily mean "bad" either)

<Blush>I missed you, too. I thought you were on to me at one point, but got mistaken for a Toxic Topix Troll. Weird stuff was going on, so I understood why.

I had a *very* busy spell at work for a while, due to downsizing. I think I was gone almost a year... Very stressful, but things have been slowly going back to (somewhat) normal, so I actually have time to post more regularly.

You can reach me at [email protected], if you'd like to catch up.

Glad to hear that things are almost back to normal.

How ironic that you would come out- oh, I mean come back- on a thread like this.

How does that make you feel?

I am not biased against homosexuals as humans. There are all kinds of people who have different forms of sexual maladjustment. Gays are in the same category as people who are attracted to farm animals.

I believe that there is also a strong correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia. This doesn't mean I hate gays, it means I think there's a strong correlation. The facts that nobody wants to discuss? There would appear to be a much higher number of homosexual pedophiles than there are heterosexual pedophiles...as a percentage of their respective populations. There is also a clear connection to criminal activity - just look at the prison population. Heterosexuals find the topic repugnant. The idea of straight people resorting to gay sex because there are no women around is rediculous. Repugant is repugnant no matter how long it's been.

I believe that homosexualtiy is genetically based. The idea of gay being a sin is also rediculous because sin implies pleasure and a straight person cannot derrive pleasure from something they naturally find repugnant.

Which leads to the heterosexual. Heterosexuals I think are also genetically driven - driven to reject homosexuality. Early humans probably rejected homosexual behavior because it wasted limited resources and never produced offspring. It also needlessly spread disease.

So the left would have society accept and legitimize homosexuality on generic grounds while ignoring their own genetic basis for rejecting it. I think it's clear that no form of sexual maladjustment should be accepted - be it homosexuality, pedophilia or other.
