I've held back for a long time. Reading the brothers comments kinda speaks for itself. By the way, Adamo had the best attorneys money and influence can buy. There is no doubt, he did this and still won't take responsibility because of his feeling of entitlement.
To the girlfriend: Has Adamo ever showed you his poloroid collection? I've seen them. Gives you an inside on how much he respects his women.
What disturbed me through this whole thing was his total disconnect for others. He knows he did it and so does some of those around him. There may be some that are so invested in his innocence, that they will never come to terms with the truth and have conditioned themselves in that thought process. You will never convince them.
As far as Adamo goes, he feels betrayed by the system that has always been able to be manipulated because of his station in life. This time it didn't bow to him.
The ripple effect of what Adamo did will not be truely known by either side. The judge knows what he did. Read what he said in court. The Conrad family has unfairly suffered through this whole thing the most. Those that know what I know would also agree that Reardon was dealt with harshly.
Don't bother responding because I will not post again. Everyone is committed to their positions, but I know what Adamo knows (and he knows it).
I hope the Conrad family finds peace.
I hope Reardon survives and can restart his life.
It's ironic that Adamo wanted to be perceived as the man, but he won't man up to this.

I know that you didn't want a response, but I felt compelled to write. I completely agree with your assessment of Luigi's brother's comments. Was this really supposed to help?? Portraying your family as a bunch of rich, partying morons who have no regard for responsibility? "T" next time you might want to think about your response BEFORE you just respond with anger and emotion, so as not to portray your family in a worse light than they already are. When I heard that Luigi received 38 years (with 85% mandatory served), I thought it was justified but sad. Even though this family may have worked it's way from rags to riches, it's hard to feel sorry for them. What went so very wrong in a family that Luigi's brother claimed "raised a good kid"?? Greed and boredom. Plain and simple.

None of you people no what you're talking about. You don't know Louie or his family and have no idea any facts of the case .There is still no proof to this day that he did anything. All you have is some little b**** on an attention seeking trip and 2 drug addicts who had to turn the blame on someone else to save themselves. Louie is a great guy and anyone close to him will tell you the same thing. To all you people who have nothing better to do but sit around and talk about a case you have no involvement in GO F*** YOURSELVES!!! And when he wins the appeal and gets out then we'll see what you poor excuse for humans have to ay then. Get a life and stay out of ours.
Oh please.... if you're going to defend your good old boyfriend why don't you try a little tact? Using phrases like "go f*** yourselves" really doesn't lend much creedence to your case...

I'm glad to see a judge in Dupage County got it right and imposed a harsh sentence on someone like Luigi Adamo for committing a pretty senseless crime. You can tell by his picture that he has no remorse. He looks like another little punk greaseball. That just gives decent italians a bad name.I hope he rots for the rest of his life.

Didn't know any of them exceptionally well, but got high with them all. And WTF is an 'upstanding citizen' anyway? Someone without any skeletons in his closet? Get real. Look inside yourselves with honesty and you'll see you're all awful people, too. You have no idea whatsoever of all the awful things you are all capable of doing under the right (or wrong) set of circumstances, so just because you have never murdered someone doesn't give you the right to put yourselves on pedestals and speak as if you're 'upstanding citizens.' Nor does it give you the authority to judge these criminals in comparison to yourselves. If you are the moral backdrop against which you are judging these criminals, then you're looking at a bucket of piss in front of a wall smeared in feces.

Also, to the people who brought race and money into the discussion: those are not intelligent thoughts. Those thoughts only reflect your poor understanding of the depth of evil that the human mind is capable of functioning in. If greed, lack of discipline, and senseless fear of others were legitimate sources of such a crime then you all should lock yourselves up before you commit a similar atrocity.

Except in self defense or perhaps as fair punishment for an equal offense, there is no excuse for murder, at all. And furthermore, there is no excuse for covering up a murder, at all. No innocent souls here, so just move along.

i think its funny how everyone says he didnt do it, he had so much going for him and blah blah blah... that doesn't mean anything.... just cause someone says no i didn't do it doesn't mean he's telling the truth.... people believe what they want, bottom line is he got sentenced by a jury of his peers. obviously there was enough for a conviction.. must not be as innocent as everyone claims.... just a thought.. for all those who say he's innocent, unless you were actually there, drop it cause u dont know the truth, u only know what u heard. doesnt mean its right

well there definately was enough evidence to convince me at the trial ( that luigi was guilty)! nobody in the jury took this lightly either. i dont know where your getting the idea that there was lack of evidence???
and for your info., the other guy that was with him, well he's in jail for his part too.
its so hard to hear that this kid wanted to kill for a thrill, but he did. end of story.

Appeal is still in motion, hasn't been filed yet. I guess these sorts of things take time when the case is so complex (2 trials, thousands upon thousands of pages of transcripts, dozens of "possible" grounds for mistrial, and not to mention the severity of what is at stake). Don't worry, with the lack of news in DuPage county I'm sure that it will make headlines when the appeal is actually filed.

Appeal was filed on October 29th. Now the State gets to file a rebuttal to the appeal document. I read the document, and it looks pretty cut and dry. I am not an attorney, but I don't think the State will even get to re-try the case due to prosecutorial overreaching.
