What did MLK really for do for black people?

A lot of people held hands and fought for rights during his time and even before. I have asked my people over and over to tell me what did he do more than other people who was already fighting the same fight? Harriot tubman did more for our people than MLK ever did his entire life! As a black male I'm tired of many black women being pushed into the back ground to create this image that only black males have gotten things done in our community. There has been countless black people in our history who have lost limbs, life and freedom to help black people,but for some reason all this attention is going to him..........why?
