The same people who don't "get" old Woody Allen movies are the same people who are slamming the funniest team on Chicago radio (not just sports radio), Boers & Bernstein.("They probably sit around on the floor with wine and cheese, and mispronounce allegorical and didacticism.")
If you think Dan is being elitist, have you checked your manometer lately?(I got mine in Manitoba.) And Terry rules.
I will give Danny Mac a chance, but my first impression of him, from his recent "audition" on B&B last week, was that he is a slightly funnier, slightly more refined version of Mike North, which isn't saying much.
Laurence Holmes is the most well-prepared, articulate and intelligent host on Chicago sports radio, and the Score needs to shoehorn him in somewhere, maybe paired with Matt Abatacola.
Mike Murphy was so insecure and nervous, he was painful to listen to. Contrast him with Boers & Bernstein, who are very quick to laugh at themselves...
Mully & Hanley are serviceable in the a.m., but never approach "must-listen" status.
And Jason Goff and Zach Zaidman are the unsung heroes at the Score... like Laurence, they're always well-prepared, easy to listen to, and great with callers. Hang in there, guys, your time will come.
MVP? Are they still on the air? Why? Oh yeah, so Smarmy, Smirko and Smeary can read the farmer's almanac every afternoon, and let us know about Liza Minelli's 94th birthday or whatever. Thanks, now my day is complete.

it's great to have a cocaine-infested, mysoginistic loser back on the air. he imparts violence and insensitivity that is sorely and i mean sorely missed on my face. thank you, i will go stand in the closet now and wait for my beating.

I turned off McNeil years ago when he was doing his "I played high school football. I'm a tough guy" act. I turned off the B&B boys because of their pomposity. Now Murph, who always entertained me when I got a chance to listen to him, is gone. What's left? I guess there's Gary Meier over at WGN....

The only reason my radio was ever even on was because I was listening to Murph. Well, at least now I can go back to listening to my commercial free CDs.

I'd wish they would have got rid of that jackass Bernstein and allowed Mac and Boers to be together again. Smart moveto dump Holmes and Hampton as they were just awful and Murph should get a nighttime slot and maybe get rid of that pathetic Dan Patrick show that airs at 10 Pm. NONSENSE!

When Murph leaves the lineup I will stop listening to the station, the only reason I ever did listen to the station. Boers and Bernstein on for 5 hours a day, how insulting and tragic.

Good idea. Get rid of the nice guy and replace him with another arrogant, know-it-all, self absorbed dip-youknowwhat.

9 hours of Danny Mac and Boring Bernstein? Who made this goofball decision? Mitch Rosen=tool of the year. Dumb not keeping Murph at noon to 2pm slot. Really dumb.

It never made any sense to me having two 2 hour shows on in the middle of the day. Hamp & Holmes never jelled. I have always thought that Holme was a second tier talent. Murph might be good for Hit and Run on Sunday mornings and late night slot but mid-day was not a fit for him. Way too many commercial plugs jammed into a 2 hour slot. There must be some reason that so many of his co-workers don't seem to get along with him.

I will reserve judgment on McNeil but I think he is an upgrade.

I think Mully & Hanley are great together. I could not listen to North. Since M&H have moved into that slot I switched from Mike & Mike.

I will truly miss OB and Doug during football season. As many have mentioned they are very enjoyable, and better when the Bears lose.

Sure Murph could be a bit overbearing and short with callers, but his sports IQ (especially in baseball) is *very* high. Moving to a bigmouth to fill his spot is an insult to the listeners, as if we need some wannabe Howard Stern in sports radio. Boers is too obnoxious for me, let alone MacNeil.

I always thought Boers was better when he was with McNeil..All he is now is a yes man for Bernstein..hasn't got a thought of his own.

I'm not really that thrilled with Dan McNeil, he was a reason that I didn't listen to Mac, Jurko, & Harry. But the thing that upsets me the most is the treatment of Laurence Holmes. He can do a show by himself. And I miss Jason Goff with Matt Abbatacola.

You're kidding right? Murphy knows the game and it's history but he has no feel for modern baseball at all. He makes ridiculous suggestions about lineup changes and generally doesn't understand that it's a business. His "just a fan" schtick got old years ago. Now if you want someone that truly understands the game and has something to offer listen to Terry Boers.

It is terrible that Lawrence is back to fill-in spots. He was best on his own, before Hamp joined him.

Has Mike Murphy got a gig at another radio station or rumors of him getting one.
