President Obama's campaign has released a transcript of a 30-minute conversation Obama had with the Des Moines Register's editorial board after the editor complained the president's team had "handcuffed" the newspaper by insisting it be kept off record.

actually i am a little scared that Joe might get his mommy to yell at me, or start a chorus of liar, liar, pants on fire.
on a good note, Romney effectively used the rope-a-dope last night and he drew Obama right in, all Obama had left was his personal likeability and after last night, as disrespectful as he was, that will be gone as well.
now we have a president who is incompetent and corrupt, has done the worst job of any president in the history of this country, and who came across as likeable as Bill Maher does.
frankly unless the corrupt media led by the blowhard Candy Crowley at CNN and the new york rag can totally mislead the public, this election is over.
Indeed - and just to spike the ball, we have Woodward pointing out Obama's lie about sequestration in that "debate."

And by the way - any American who is considering voting for Obama without first reading Woodward's book, "The Price of Politics" is an irresponsible dope.

Imagine my delight at your news that I'm a paid employee of the GOP!! I just called up the RNC to demand my back pay, but those weasels denied I was an employee like you say. All Republicans lie, right?

So would you mind telling me who it was that told you I was a paid GOP employee and how to contact them? I could sure use the scratch, especially now that I'm facing a move to Washington with the incoming Romney administration. Get right back to me, ok? Thanks awfully.

As for your pathetic clinging to that torpedoed hulk of a propaganda lie about Obama not being responsible for Obama's own epic failures to LEAD and accomplish any useful or effective economic and fiscal recovery measures with the Congress his party totally controlled for the first two years of his administration, I will simply point to Woodward's book, "The Price of Policy" as the definitive objective proof of Obama's total failure as a POTUS, and WHY.

You should read it before posting further in this vein - you'll look a lot less foolish.

it was sickening to see Obama calling Romney a liar last night especially when Obama is the real liar.
Word.

Obama lied about his responsibility for sequestration:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1012/827...

And he's still lying about Benghazi:

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/state-dept-em...

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/24/us-...

Official emails show the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack.

Americans died - Obama lied.

Romney says he’ll balance the budget in “Eight to ten years”.
You clods hammer Obama for not doing it in 4.
Go figure.
Well, joe - not to belabor the obvious, but if Obama were competent, he could have done it in 4.

Instead, he's put us another $6 TRILLION in the hole (and still counting!)- saddling us with an additional $2.5260 trillion in the first 19 months of his administration when his party had total control of Congress, more than the cumulative total of the national debt amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

So yeah, now it's going to take a heroic effort over 8 years to correct.

We don't have voter fraud, you azs. And you know it. Another creepy, dishonest right clinger hear from.
Joe, you are a shining example of what is wrong with this country - stupidity and dishonesty. 1,099 felons voted in race won by 312 ballots in a Minnesota senate race. The winner ? Al Franked in his 2008 senate race. Look into that, idiot. It's only 1 recent example. There are MANY more, should you decide to pull your head out of your backside. You should realize - unless you are too stupid(and that is quite likely) that this still goes on today. Or genius, maybe it all cleared up in 4 years and ALL human nature cleaned up it's act.

Your accusatory statement that this is the fault of Republicans is also a lie. This group you are referring that wants to monitor elections was invited here by your hero liberal organization, the ACLU. Now, further display your stupidity and try to tell everybody the Republicans are behind THAT one. See what Greg Abbot Texas Attorney General told your election monitoring group: It is illegal to come within 100 feet of a polling place unless your are voting. Anybody ignoring this law will be subjected to criminal prosecution. By the way, Texas is a Republican state. Your monitoring group has appealed to Hillary Clinton asking that she get Texas to relax their stance. Texas bowing down to Hillary Clinton's wishes, has 2 chances. None and None.

Joe, it is painfully apparent that you are not too bright, but at least check your facts instead of spewing your erroneous, completely unsupported, opinion you asz.

The Sensata workers from Freeport Illinois are to be laid off near election day.
The lay-offs are in spite of Sensata having record profits.
The jobs are being shipped to China.
Chinese workers receive slave wages (about $1.35-99 cents per hour) in a communist country where plants operate without quality, safety or pollution controls.
American workers are being forced to compete with sweatshop labor with no safety, quality, labor and pollution control standards.
That is, the Sensata workers? story partly explains why the American middle class is failing and it also partly explains how the superwealthy are becoming even more wealthy.

Gov. Romney is not responsible for the current US Tax Code - Obama and the US Congress is.

It is the solemn duty of _every_ American to take full advantage of every legal means of avoiding taxes the law allows. Gov. Romney is no more nor less entitled - and burdened - to legally avoid taxes than any other American.

Now - what has the guy who currently IS responsible for leading and doing something about all these ills you've catalogued - OBAMA - done to level the playing field with China in the last 4 years?

For statements that were ruled to be “True” and “Mostly True”, it’s Obama and Biden at 45.0%, Romney and Ryan at 29.1%.
When it comes to “False”,“Mostly False” and “Pants on Fire”, it’s Romney and Ryan at 43.9% and Obama and Biden at 28.8%.
In fact, Romney and Ryan have over 4 times as many “Pants of Fire” lies as the President and Vice President.
Mitt Romney himself has well over half of the total amount of “Pants of Fire” lies (58.6%) of all the candidates COMBINED!
According to what authority? Link, please.

For those who have no other source of information (that would all you right clingers) automatic weapons are legal in this country. You better give the NRA a call and give them a head's up.
Romney's statement is correct.

Possession of automatic weapons has been illegal everywhere in the US since 1938, and it remains illegal in this country to possess an automatic weapon (except by holders of a Class III Federal Firearms License).

So what part of Romney's statement are you charging is untrue?

Republicans are notorious for projecting their beliefs and practices on their opponents.
For the past two years the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) passed restrictive and harsh voter ID laws to combat what they claimed was massive voter fraud.
Over the past few months, reports of voter suppression and registration fraud have built up to the point that, like Iraq, this country’s election will be monitored by an international group to stop fraud and intimidation.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is a United Nations affiliate that will deploy 44 observers around the country on Election Day and an additional 80 to 90 members of parliament from nearly 30 countries to monitor American elections.
The OSCE election monitors are from its human rights office that focuses on democratization, and they will be looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups.
Just another embarrassment Republicans have brought on our country.
Oh, please.

International observers have been monitoring elections in the US for years.

In the case of OSCE (only one of many international observers of elections), observers were invited by the US State Dept to monitor US elections in 1998 and 2000, and have observed US elections since at least the 2002 elections.

the even bigger story is how the Obama administration was totally not prepared for an obvious terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11, and how Obama decided to then go to a fundraiser in las Vegas.

the most important job of the commander in chief is to keep Americans safe, and Obama failed,

just like he has failed on the economy,

just like he has failed on the debt and

just like he has failed to be transparent,

just like he has failed to be bipartisan.

Barack Obama is a total failure as president and is the worst president in the history of America.
