Alright, so Angela knows more about twins than I do. Guess she's the resident expert.

(Over 20 sets? Really? You know over 20 sets of twins? Not calling you a liar, just saying that's pretty remarkable. Who else can say they know over 20 sets of twins?)

Grrr....I hear teachers doing it all the flaming time! It is beyond aggravating. So immature.
Of course, I can't an overuse of "um" either....we need more public speaking courses.

I'm not condoning anything alcohol related.
I'm just sayin' that some people do some real growin' up after some of those parties.
Other people, not so much.
Some do and some don't and some you just can't tell.

I'll agree with that. Some people realize it's not the way to go. Others think it's the way for acceptance.

Like most things in life, you either learn from the lesson or not. You wish kids didn't have to learn the hard way, but some seem to have to do it that way.

I agree kids will always make mistakes and you think they should learn from them. The main thing is for the person who has made the mistake is to accept it.

And to improve confidence in speaking to people and not overusing "um" :) a public course my friend got huge amount of benefit from is http://highimpactspeaking.net/

Overusing UM is one of my biggest pet peeves in people!
I am appalled by how many professors and professionals say it.
I took a course, and I think it's needed at every level!
It has to be a conscious skill to think about, but people need to be okay with silence.

I have several colleagues who use it before every.single.sentence. GAH
