Do they also have class pics at the beginning of the year with the whole class? Both boys' schools do that, plus the parents share pics from the school parties an field trips.
I see HS yearbooks as being for the kids, and even jr high yearbooks. At this age, yearbooks are for the parents, IMO, and we are seriously on a budget.
Not as a group (or at least not that I know of). They do the individual pics and if you order those, you get a composite with your kid in the middle and the rest of the class around them. I didn't actually see a yearbook last year, however, so I don't know what I'm paying for exactly.

Lulu's teacher set up a shutterfly account where class pictures are posted. It's nice because usually I can't go to the "events".

And next year we may be on a serious budget too, depending on how Dickie's interview went today. He's trying to get a training position, which will require him to travel A LOT, but it will be a steady and higher income. If he does not get the position, he's more than likely going to get fired because of poor performance.(It's been a tough spring for car dealers and they're just not into spending extra cash on what carsdotcom has to offer. One of the main problems is they can't get good pictures of the cars because they are covered in snow, so they don't want to pay for posting pics they know look like sh!t.) So he may be looking for a new gig soon and who knows what kind of $$$ he will be making next year.

It's been very stressful for him lately, and he's kept it all to himself. I really hope he gets this training gig...

1. Well, if one thing's for sure, it's that waiting to tell him will make it better.

2. You don't get to complain about that to which you agreed. Period. And tasteless prank Amy? Really? Unbunch your panties.

Sorry, squishy. I can sympathize with the pressure he feels, and the need to keep it bottled in.

Thanks, Ang.

I knew that with a sales gig, there's always up months and down months. I just had no idea it's been 2 down months in a row. But it all came spilling out when we started talking about him going for this other position. I felt really bad that I had not noticed it before. And I don't know if that's me not paying attention or him just being really good at hiding his emotions.

Probably a little from column a and a little from column b.

He just called a few minutes ago. He says it went really well but he won't know anything for several days, if not weeks. Grrr.

That's a great idea that the teacher set up a shutterfly account!

Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for Dickie. Sales can be so rough.

I just is. It's not that it's even mean or anything, though some people might get worked up about it. It's just stupid. Not funny at all. That's like tying your shoe and expecting people to laugh. The LW (and your friend) just dont' know what is funny. Because it just isn't.

I just plopped down $25 for Lulu's yearbook. It will include the whole school tho (K-8), not just her 1st grade class. I'm ok with it this year, but I'm not so hot on buying 2 next year. We'll see...
Drove away in a limo for the 1st wedding. Drove away in a white convertable Mustang for the 2nd one. The Mustang was WAY cooler.
We don't get charged for the yearbooks - just if we want to put a special message page to our kids. And we get it every year.

OK, maybe not EVER, but it is pretty stupid. And I do avoid a lot of the more idiotic things on the internet.

I can't imagine anyone even getting a chuckle out of that. It's just not funny.

That's not bad, then. We just get hit up for so many things to buy from the school (and I don't really mind the fundraisers), but yearbooks are just stuff to spend money on around here and the school doesn't get anything out of it.

While I'm not going to say that was a stupid/lame joke like SOME people, I will say, to me, a good April fool's type joke is one that gets some sort of OMG! type reaction. Even little one. When my friend did her engagement post, she got a lower case omg rise out of me before I realized what day it was. But someone saying they're leaving Facebook would not even get that from me. I already have an email address for the majority of the people I know on Facebook. And the people I don't, those are people I really don't correspond with anyway.
I have several friends who have left FB without the pomp and circumstance. To me, its not really that big a deal.

My April Fool's Day prank was to put pairs of googly eyes on various food containers in the fridge. I put two tiny ones on gary's eyes in a group company photo poster on the wall (something that would be taken down soon). Now people are moving them around the office. they're on the vending machines, the coffee maker...
