Any man that hurts a woman deserves the same fate. I see the world better off more today than yesterday.

Coward.

The Police should have made sure he was properly secured in the wagon and that the wagon doors were locked. He would not have been able to try and escape. This never should have happened. This lawsuit is going to cost the tax payers $$$$

If the deceased didn't violate the protective order and try to climb out of the police wagon we would not be reading this article. Let's put the blame where it belongs. Will it cost the taxpayers money, probably. The city will settle to avoid the cost of litigation, not because they were wrong. But it will cost us less money than what this jerk would have cost us otherwise in his lifetime with future incarcerations.

OMG - only the second comment on the board and already blaming the police. Amazing and sad...

This a$$hole got exactly what he deserved. He placed himself in this situation - twice.
First by being where he should NOT have been (near this woman who had an order of protection against him) and secondly by attempting to escape from police custody.

Well he escaped alright - with a one way ticket out of this life. Moron.

If video recorders were on the scene, would this incident be described as so?

Who falls down and dies, handcuffed or not?

The only person with a different version of the events that led up to a death is dead.

Don't believe everything you read.

No more arrests and transports, Just Summary Executions! If you do not act like a beast and follow the law, you will not have to worry about being arrested.

I have to admit, my thought was: this woman doesn't have to worry any more about this guy coming after her.

Just how high off the ground are these wagons? Seems kind of strange to me. A lot of these comments are disgusting...this man probably had a family who did no wrong.
