Of course if they are owned by Middle Easterners this would make sense. I know there are mostly Middle Easterners that shop at the one I where I live.

Samsung just lost a huge lawsuit against Apple and Nikon's customer service is beyond horrible. I'm sure you can find out what I'm talking about on Google.

Or do you just get all your news from the network channels? No wonder you're so ill informed.

A complaint that you no doubt expressed in a very calm, cogent manner.

This just in. You're a moron. Do you live in a cave? Merrill Lynch was the biggest brokerage firm. They got sued for billions for all the people they ripped off. What about Fannie Mae? Were they big enough for you? It's because of brainless dimwits like you who still think that bigger is better, that America is falling apart.

Were you right there when the complaint was made? Maybe you were. You probably were the one who took the complaint and got the person pissed off by being very rude.

No, I am the one who put cockroaches in Gerry's pizza and got him upset in the first place. I did follow him when he went to the manager's office and listened in when he made his complaint. He was very eloquent and expressed himself in a productive and sophisticated manner, especially considering that he is just the kind of dum dum we try to attract and cater to here at Aldi so as we can sell him the food that normal people won't buy. Our manager was extremely rude, what with asking Gerry to stop invoking his invisible friend as his witness.

So what's your name? Ewa Shitsky? Nothing personal of course but it's people with names that sound like you who always vote for the democrats and shop at Aldi. I heard that gun ban in Chicago by your democrats really cut down on the homicides. All the way down to #1 in the country. OOOOPs, that means up then...bimbo!

Have you checked out the track record of companies like State Farm Insurance and Verizon Wireless lately? Also in a recent survey Walmart was ranked as one of the two worst food stores. That one I don't agree with. Aldi is worse and a lot more dangerous. Most of the other bad ones went belly up. I heard Lion Foods which you mentioned is pretty bad too.

We are lucky to have one of the best grocery chains, Publix....down here in Florida and the south...alway's clean and best quality in everything, plus plenty buy one-get one deals.....Walmart seem's like a flea market in contrast.....

the only reason you talk about democrats is because our president is black. if bush were still in office and a democrat you would swear he was the worst thing in the world. he proved he was a lying sob in iraq when the knew all along there were no womd people like you dont have the guts to say it to their face. if you hate your damn country so bad then leave. it aint the black peoples fault that you are lazy and wont work

As long as we're all in a mood to generalize, let's talk about blacks now. They'd vote for Obama even if became a mass murderer. How do I know that? Because he already is a mass murderer and you people still support him! What has he done for the black community? Nothing! And it ain't the white people's fault that the most crimes are committed by blacks and that the most people out of work are black too. I'd call you dumb but you're even worse than that.

Aldi is a German owned company - Aldi Einkauf GmbH & Co. oHG and the same company also owns Trader Joe's

I have never had a problem with Aldi. They have good products and the stores I go to are far South Side and Southwest Side Stores which are very clean and well managed.

Get real. How much do they pay you to say nonsense like this? None of their stuff is name brand and the stores smell like garbage pits.
Cashiers are super efficient I'll give them that and of course the prices are low. But you get what you pay for and it's not much.

I can't address the smell complaint, but you are right on point saying they don't carry name brands. That is their business model. They (and TJ's) stock house brands only because that way they control the manufacturing process and therefore control costs.
Dominicks sells house brands as does Jewel and Whole Foods in addition to name brand items. There is a very thin profit margin in grocery stores. The ability to control costs is more important than for a business like, say,Radio Shack or Home Depot

I like them. Some items are very good bargains and good quality. For example, unsweetened cranberry juice ( part of a current diet I am on) is $4 a bottle at TJ. The competitng brands at Dominicks etc is Knudsens at $9 a bottle. Greek yogurt in a tub is less expensive there as is things like olive oil and boxes of soup.
TJ's stocks products that Dominicks /Jewel does not. Maybe Treasure Island has similar variety but there is not one near me. TJ's stock turns over fast so I have never encountered a dusty box or an out of code product. They have enough employees who actually help.
There are drawbacks of course- they are expensive for meat and fresh vegetables and have limited choices in product categories.

They are one of the places I go to grocery shop.

Why do you think they suck?
