Aldi just pours profits to Germany. I also notice they put these stores in poorer areas as if they are helping the community. Their products are of inferior quality. I do not shop there. I shop American for America. Why should Germany take a chunk of our profits.

Then don't shop at Trader Joe's either because they are owned by the same German company.

I had no idea. We need to buy American, however... Most of the products of today are mostly made in China.

I think a lot of products at Aldi's come from China too.

My point being is that it goes without saying! If someone doesn't know the level of food that Aldi's sells then their idiots. Its no different than shopping at Dollar General. Simple economics! Its called thinking for yourself. Your political attack affirms that your must be an out of work supporter of President Welfare!
What you are saying is not common knowledge. However the QE3 that Obama supports is certainly common knowledge, yet most idiot voters don't care. As for Aldi, people need to be informed. This place is much worse than meets the eye.

Your absolutely right! We, as Americans can't think for ourselves. We need the to be informed by our fellow citizens. Wait, we need another govt agency to look into and investigate just Aldi's. Lets hire 1000 people for this bureau, build a new facility, and have Congressional support for the next 50 years. Or, maybe choose not to shop there based on how it smells, looks, and quality of food based on the previous two things! You get what you pay for, ALWAYS!

No we don't need more government agencies. You're smart enough to know they're corrupt anyway. That's why it's our job as citizens to warn others about companies like Aldi.

Let's start by getting rid of the FED. Then the IRS and FBI.

Don't you recognize sarcasm when you see it? My point was that Aldi's isn't a "borderline" store. Its a full-fledged discount grocery store. You have to pay a deposit for carts and purchase paper bags. That being said, their food probably isn't going to be as fresh, as reputable, or as healthy......so they have cheaper prices! This isn't unknown to anyone that can think for themselves or understands economics.

Aldi's is a full fledged piece of garbage, especially their Harwood Heights location. That place is filthy and I know several people who have gotten pretty sick from their food.

The Harwood Heights location is really awful. Smells like a garbage truck. They couldn't pay me to shop there.

That Harwood Heights location has to be violating all kinds of codes. They should be shut down.

I nearly vomited the one time I went to that location. I'm guessing they paid off city officials there.

That would never happen up here. But Americans just shrug their shoulders and let corrupt politicians and sleazy companies take advantage of them.

...and Canucks don't?

However, I agree with the title of this thread. Even the Seven Elevens make Aldi look bad.

People shop at Aldi because they like the idea of all the rats and mice there doing taste tests for them.

My neighbor died from severe food poisoning. His wife blamed Aldi. But the media wanted no part of it.

Of course his wife blamed someone... it certainly could not have been her cooking... haha.
I actually like Aldi's. It is a discount store, so you need to beware... duh! I don't buy fruit or meat... only can goods mostly. And their huge 18" pizzas for $5.99 are the best deal around. Their prices kill Walmart, I've checked. But there is another discount store that does beat Aldi... Food4Less, Kroger... it has better quality at similar steep discounted prices, that's where I buy veggies and meat. But for me Aldi is closer so I go there mostly. Like I said, just beware and check for freshness... or go with cans only, like I do.
