Aldi is the best. Good products at fair prices. Only bad thing is it's a German co. But they hire Americans.

I would never shop at a supermarket that doesn't carry name brand stuff. Probably everything Aldi has are Chinese imports like the ones in the chocolates that got many people sick not too long ago.

I bought some off brand cereal there once. Tasted like cardboard. Bought bananas there once too. Went completely rotten in one day. I don't shop there anymore.

I also think the Harwood Heights IL Aldi is filthy. It smells like garbage in there and they rarely clean the floors. I'm sure the board of health would close it down if they weren't paid off by them.

Now they're doing some kind of bogus survey to make Trader Joe look good. This is the jerk-off Corporation that owns Aldi. Probably the only people who were able to take part in the survey were Aldi employees. This country is totally overrun with corporate corruption.

At least the word is getting out. Aldi stores in the Chicago area has lost a lot of business.

When it comes to food I'll always pay more for better quality, whether it'd be groceries or restaurants. I would never shop for food at places like Walmart, Target or Aldi.

I absolutely LOVE Aldi!! I visit the Quakertown, Pa store and always save a ton of money! The employees are always very friendly and always working hard...always cleaning. Their own products are above average! Happy Farms brand...their brand...is better than alot of other name brands! I really don't believe thee other comment about the corporate office being rude...companies just can't afford to be like that...they NEED our business!

LOL, this is a totally fake post. Big companies DON'T NEED our money. They're making record profits thanks to all the easy money they get from the FED. You believe a corporate office can't be rude??? How much did Aldi pay you for this nonsense? Nobody will believe a totally fake post like this.

I would recommend Aldi as a neighborhood grocery only to low budget people who don't have a car to drive to a Walmart.
And, stay away from their bananas and any dairy products.

They have Aldi locations in Australia? Sorry about your bad experience Sue. I guess people aren't the only ones who get sick from their products.

The local Aldi's (which happens to be closer to my summer home in the Adirondacks) is just fine. I buy food all the time there when I'm vacationing. The gummys they have there are a big hit with the kids also. Nothing is wrong with this one, not sure what y'all are experiencing in Illinois, but I love Aldi's.

Thanks for the reply Just Wondering. Aldi is becoming more common in Australia. We won't be shopping there though.

Shop wise...stay away from the meats, fish, and processed foods, like pizza. A bag of chips at the local grocery here is $4.39 plus tax. That identical brand and size bag of chips at Aldi's is $1.39...that's why I shop there...paper products, detergent, sponges, household cleaners, etc. Can't beat the prices. I read the labels...never gotten sick from their products. The worse case of food poisioning I ever had was from some chicken from Safeway. Sooner or later, it's gonna happen on occasion, regardless of where you shop.
