this place sucks and i mean sucks worst that anywhere you will ever work in your life. I would rather work in a stable scooping horse poop the rest of my life. Their trainer at the Kennesaw Store, Josh is a joke of a trainer. Apparantely me and the company did not "click" because I did not understand their less workers gives you more pay. Anotherwords they understaff the place, work you like a dog, it is redundant and boring and tiring. And because they have less staff they say they can afford tp pay more than Kroger or the other grocery stores. They pay $10.50 and whereas Kroger, which is a far better grocery store, there really is no comparison, pays maybe $8.50 or $9.00, don't really know, but for approxamately a $1.50 more an hour, you are treated like a dog. I HATE this place. The food is cheap, so if you are broke and don't care about quality, go for it. But if you wanna work here, do yourself a favor and run out into the street and just get it over with.It will be better than working for this company, the absolout worse I ever have seen.

Seems you still work there. Perhaps it is because no one better will hire you?
As you put it...there's the street: now run.

Maybe you're the one who still works there. And, they're paying you to bash those of us warning others to stay away. Those stores are total pits. The Board of Health should shut them all down and throw people like you in jail for trying to get people to shop there and get sick.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it but it beats the H*ll out of me how you got from my comment to your conclusion.

So don't shop there.
On your way to Whole Foods, remember to send in your formal complaint to the local Board of Health using specific reasons, pictures from your smartphone and sign your real name.

I'll watch for it on CNN Money and Bloomberg.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread. Aldi has always had excellent products at very low prices in my experience. Perhaps a disgruntled employee is striking back at a perceived slight. I'm sure this thread will have no impact on Aldi sales. It's just a wonderful place to shop!

(Palm slap to forehead)
The purpose of this thread is that Aldi's hired some one to do search engine optimization (SEO).It doesn't matter what is said, just the number of times the name is mentioned or a post made.
We should all take a copy of this thread into Aldi's and ask for a discount or call it a advertising stipend. Rather like asking the car dealer to shave something off the price because you drive around with its license plate holder on your back bumper.

Do you really believe Aldi's would hire a SEO and allow it to start a thread claiming "Aldi's is the Worst Supermarket Chain" just to get hits for a search engine? Do you honestly believe the 2 or three hundred times Aldi is mentioned in this infantile thread is worth the negative publicity? Don't get into marketing PEllen. Here's a Moutza for you to trump your palm slap.

Do you think a Topix thread constitutes publicity? Google Aldi's. In the first 10 pages there are a number of blogs, an occasional negative comment or complaint and Topix is not mentioned. It is unlikely that anyone reading this thread bases food shopping decisions based on these posts.

Short answer: no one is paying attention .

It was probably giving the thread too much credit to suggest an SEO role.

Have you read any of the posts here or are you in a world of your own? Many people from across the country have complained about this hole in the wall. The food makes people sick. I was a victim myself.

The regulars here will probably go along with your one person theory, because they back all the sleezy corporations. Maybe you're one of these regulars logging in under a different name. Also can proudly say that business had dropped off quite a bit in the Chicago area Aldi locations.

Aldi is supposedly for people on a low budget. So it does seem odd that a North Shore Yuppie would be backing them.

Two points:

A good business model is always worthy of respect, and

people get to the North Shore by watching where the money goes, something that seems to have missed you.

Do you have any facts to back this statement up? I don't think so. How does it feel to live your whole life a lie Ron? You're on Topix threads across the country bashing Nikon, H H Gregg, Sunbeam, Two Men and a Truck, and Best Buy among others. The good news is everyone on every thread quickly discover you're nuts. No one believes your rants anymore old man. Give up.

Kelly you're one of the sickest and most obsessed people I have ever come across in my life. No, I'm not Ron but I know who you're talking about. Isn't it time to stop blaming one person for all the misery in your pathetic life? You're going to burn in hell for all the horrible corporations you back up.

I see hundreds of posts from many different people across the country. A few backing Aldi, but most against them. If one person is doing all this, somebody please tell me how.

I've personally never had any bad experiences at Aldi, but will not trust a place that doesn't sell brand name food. Plus, I find it very hard to believe that ALL the complaints here are bogus.

Just my two cents.

I shop at Jewel and Target and avoid Wal-Mart and Aldi. I'd rather pay more for good quality rather than shop bargain basement. I also think that "Wayne" and "Hes Still Nuts" are phony posters. Shopping at Aldi is like buying a Yugo. It's just something that people with money don't do. No explanation even necessary for the other phony poster.

Someone is going to burn in hell because they shop Aldi or buy a Nikon? Yep, you're nuts.

This store is a must to avoid. They sell a lot of their own name brand stuff which is awful and can make you sick. I got severe food poisoning from one of their beef products and nearly died. But the media wanted no part of it. I called the corporate office in Batavia and they were very hostile to put it mildly.
You're better off paying more money for quality food, so folks should stay clear of Aldi's.
Did you try calling the health department? The first thing you do when you get food poisoning is reprot it to the health dept I mean after you go to the doctor.

Personally I've been shopping at Aldi's for years and no one in my family has ever gotten sick from their products. Perhaps you got sick eating something past the freshness date or from something else. Did you file a complaint with your local heath department? If so could you share the results? If you didn't file a complaint why not?

Interesting information on the ownership and the customer base. They are not publicly traded, not answerable to shareholders and couldn't give a rat's a*s about Topix.
