Justice for the rich , and justice for everybody else is as different as night and day. Where is the outrage ? Once it happens again we can all sit back and tell the irresponsible judge that "we told you so", but until then we will suffer in silence. The judge and the offender are cowards and hopefully people will never forget that .

This is ridiculous, and just another example of judges treating serious crimes as if they were spitting on the sidewalk.

While it's true that there was little the driver could have done for the victim--rapid access to the ED and surgery are the real hope for serious head injuries--he still acted with a great deal of cowardess and callousness.

Why was he afraid to stay at the scene and at least call 911? Booze, drugs, blatant speeding? Or did he have a record of (probaby fixed) traffic tickets?

This judge's decision is nothing but an invitation for others to leave the scenes of accidents. Some of those people will abandon victims who could be helped by prompt first aid and will needlessly die instead.

what! is Tucker rerlated to this coward? Lack of criminality? How about this very crime for which Pucina is guilty? How about punishment for that? Can the sentence be appealed by the state? Ridiculous! I wonder what other meaningless sentences this spineless Tucker has handed down? Pucina, you are a rotten scum bag.

The same thing would have been done to a Mexican so it's fair justice. But the goof should get sued now.

This post is worth repeating - remember this judge's name. And remember the name Ed Wanderling - a slimy attorney more interested in money than justice. What a complete travesty. I certainly hope the victim's family plans a civil suit against this complete coward. Take this worthless puke for everything he has.

Judge Thomas Tucker should be disbarred for letting this piece of garbage off so lightly. Thank God Tucker didn't preside over John Wayne Gacey's trial. He would have sent Gacey to the juvenile detention center.

It's time we clean house and get rid of every stinking liberal judge in Illinois. Oh wait... there wouldn't be anyone left to serve in their place.

Probation and community service for what he did? He perverted the law to its fullest and got away with murder. He should be behind bars for a long long time.

I sure hope Mr. Pocina's blood, that was found inside his vehicle, was tested for BAC.

Mr. Pocina compounded his criminal acts by being a douchebag of a human being by refusing to even surrender himself to police.

If what goes around comes around, I hope it does so for both Mr. Pocina and his lawyer, and quickly.

I hope Mr. Pocina is haunted, yes haunted, forever by what he did. I hope he has a hard time finding continued employment, and certainly hope he doesn't go on to a enjoy a long and prosperous retirement at any time in his life.

I would not have these thoughts about him if he had even once, shown anything but contempt for the investigation, and especially for the life of Kathleen Talmage.

What irony of Pocina loses control of his next SUV when delivering the payoff to judge Tucker, and then leaves Tucker, or one of his family members for dead.

Wow... someone's sitting with their rose-colored glasses on.

As much as I hate to say it, this is a prime example of two justice systems... one for those with money and one for those without.

Even Paris Hilton went to jail, and that was only for drunk driving (which Pocina was also probably guilty of). He kills a woman and gets just probation. Where's the justice?

I cannot understand how this could happen? We should be inundating the court with letters to this horrible judge. I'll remember this name come election time. How does he sleep at night.

An accident is one thing- leaving the scene is another thing altogether.

I must be missing something Posina plead guilty he had no trial. Was this sentence part of a plea bargain, maybe the blame should go to the States Attorney’s Office? Sounds like the States Attorney had a good case if you can’t agree to the plea bargain deal you go to trial. Then after the trial if the judge gives him three years probation than you can blame the judge.
