This is where we differ, you should keep posting to demonstrate your political goals. The argument's not over, nobody has yet tested climate change mitigation.

Whackadoodle, arctic ice is not a factor. Since Antarctica is so cold the increase of water vapor in the atmosphere due to warming seas causes more precipitation. That precipitation falls as snow in Antarctica.
More snow in Antarctica; what's not to love about global warming?

There has been no significant atmospheric warming during the past few years. That is not an indicator that the Earth is not gaining heat. The oceans of the world are a much greater heat sink than the atmosphere.
As the oceans warm, they emit CO2 like an open soda pop going flat. Natural CO2 swamps man made CO2.

I think a users fee would be a better idea than a tax since RW conservatives are against taxes.
When government implements a "users fee", that is a tax.

If climate can be fixed with a new tax, it wasn't broken.

Understand that a catastrophic change doesn't have to happen in a year or two. It can still be catastrophic even if the disruption takes decades.
Or centuries? There's never been an experimental test of catastrophic climate change disruption; don't panic.

All you have are repetitive insults? Why not discuss increased Antarctic ice, no warming or a miraculous carbon tax that will save us from man made catastrophic climate disruption? Not up to the challenge?
If a carbon tax won't do anything, then you may as well stop wearing those seatbelts when driving, how about taping your mobile ph to your ear or stuffing your mouth full of cigarettes because science has shown prevention is far better than cure. However with your lot, you insist on catching the disease first rather than taking the shot. Climate change will just keep getting worse unless you are prepared to adjust your lifestyle, the only way to make you do it is through your pocket like anything else in this world.

If the President doesn't think it's a priority, why should I?

He went to 3 fundraisers yesterday. Not 1. Not 2. 3

He should be meeting with industry and government leaders in a climate change roundtable.

Question. Is it global cooling. Global warming.Global climate change. Global weather disruption. Or just the weather.
USA is only a fraction of the globe. Look up as percentage, LOL.

Global climate change is not uniform, duh.

A "shot" or cure, is a specific treatment for a specific and throughly understood, identified and isolated "disease". The carbon tax is a punitive measure imposed on the so called perpetrators of a hypothetical condition, with the "victims" to be named later. The real life effects of this impalpable calamity, global warming, are likely never to manifest themselves on any contemporary individual. A carbon tax, on the other hand, will be very real, very punitive and very permanent. Nobody will see its benefits. Nobody but the government, that is.

As it now appears, it's anything they say it is. My guess is it'll be an unexpected but predicted, naturally occurring anomaly, directly or indirectly associated with man caused climate change.

What we normally forget when talking about the amount of CO2, is the significance it has for the human (and other creatures) health. Above 425 ppm in the atmossphere the healthproblems will become more servere, because the blood will slowly be more acid. This will affect bloodpressure etc.
BTW: President Johnson was informed in 1965 about the dangers in increasing the amount of CO2.
