So global warming "science" is a commodity to be sold?

I can tell you bought a load of it.

So... are you admitting the scientists aren't saying diddly squat about their research... allowing others to run amok with it towards their political agendas?

What a laugh... warmists are defeating their own arguments.

Don't run from the question sonny.

Are blogs now "approved" sources for discussion of global warming?

And likewise, are non-climate scientists able to critique/analyze global warming research?

That is a pet peeve of mine. "It is MY money." It resonates well with the anti-government mantra that it is "Your money". Of course it does not reconcile the fact that through government and taxes we only then are able to gain these opportunities..
The United States success came from those who lived under your role of government, and wanted something different.

THAT's what bugs you.

I think I can safely assume you'll say you went to college. Maybe you're still going. That being said, did you go to become a middle-of-the-road wage earner? If you finally make it big (doubtful though that is) will you still have a hardon for success? If those scientists wanted to be rich, they should have become wallstreeters. If they WERE rich, you'd be ragging them for being better off than you. You're a queer duck but an exceptional liberal.
But you think i have a distorted view of the world. When another favourite of your side is this politics of envy as tho someone would aspire to be resentful for someone better off than themselves.
Does it ever occur to you that some people pursue a career because they think they might make a difference or that they genuinely love what they do and money has NOTHING to do with it. Scientists would surely fit into the later of that motivation wise regardless of whether its in medicine, astronomy, climate or anything else.
Which highlights my other point, WTF would any scientist go into employment for little reward just to tell his employer what they wanted to hear. This is how absurd this logic is from the extreme right. Yet Wall Street'ers who produce NOTHING of value other than selling someone eles's dream are deemed to be of more value & have a higher standing in your eyes than a nobel prize winner. To any rational thinking person regardless of the politics that would seem absurd in the extreme.

Big Oil on the other hand can hire anyone they want to say anything they please, science never comes into it.
Bill and Al are now considered scientists by some in the 'Catastrophic Climate Change' crowd? Once again ...all normal people can do is shake their heads.

Trickle down is as much about BS as is the pointing to welfare as the cause of all ills.
And it is obvious that Obama and the Democrats also support the principle of 'Trickle Down' economics ..."QE2" as just one example.

As such all you bullshyt about eduction is just adding more CO2 into the atmosphere.

Uh oh: Study says ‘collapsing’ Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica melting from geothermal heat, not ‘climate change’ effects

]Remember the wailing from Suzanne Goldenberg over the “collapse” of the Thwaites glacier blaming man-made CO2 effects and the smackdown given to the claim on WUWT?

Well, never mind. From the University of Texas at Austin and the “you can stop your wailing now” department, comes this really, really, inconvenient truth.

Researchers find major West Antarctic glacier melting from geothermal sources

AUSTIN, Texas — Thwaites Glacier, the large, rapidly changing outlet of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, is not only being eroded by the ocean, it’s being melted from below by geothermal heat, researchers at the Institute for Geophysics at The University of Texas at Austin (UTIG) report in the current edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The findings significantly change the understanding of conditions beneath the West Antarctic Ice Sheet where accurate information has previously been unobtainable.

Obama is working with an economy that was a hospital pass from Bush. Anything he wants to change about that economy your side WILL NOT let him. So he is stuck with the status quo, a government run by powerful lobby groups and big business interests. So all the tweaking to the economy has to be done with the same rusty ole toolbox that was left to him. He needs a new tool box, the only way that will happen is a congress that is more innovative & progressive thinking. Not likely to happen from the GOP so expect more of the same and the divide will become even greater. Trickle down is a myth!

Exactly.
And from all his options he chose to use "Trickle Down" as his solution to the mess he was handed.

"Researchers find major West Antarctic glacier melting from geothermal sources"

A lie, of course.
"Before our paper, models tended to just assume a uniform geothermal flux value beneath the glacier because it was the best you could do with the observations available (even though the presence of nearby volcanoes and other geologic evidence suggested it was probably very non-uniform).
http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2014/0...

Even Fox News gets it right.
Now, a new study finds that these subglacial volcanoes and other geothermal "hotspots" are contributing to the melting of Thwaites Glacier, a major river of ice that flows into Antarctica's Pine Island Bay.

Researchers have long known that volcanoes lurk under the ice of West Antarctica. This is a seismically active region, where East and West Antarctica are rifting apart. In 2013, a team of scientists even found a new volcano beneath the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.

West Antarctica is also hemorrhaging ice due to climate change.

You commies deserve everything God gives you. You'll all thirst and watch your family, friends and so-called loved ones scramble for the nearest drop of H2O. The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia is now returning to the Earth in the form of desert. You will all kill each other for the life-giving liquid. God has said.

Two points here:
1) " your side " ??? Really?
The Climate (Catastrophic Climate Change) and American Politics (Dems v GOP) are 'black or white' issues now? A 'you' versus 'me' thing?
Seems unrealistic and contrived.

2) "stuck with the status quo" ...Quite the indictment of the leader of the free world.

We are discussing over a 200 year old "toolbox".

If President Obama and the Democrats in Congress cannot find ANY progressive solutions to this economic mess Pres. Bush dumped on this country then they are most likely not looking very hard.

Bottom line:
"Trickle Down" policy is the first choice of BOTH the Dems and the GOP.

Close it commie! You just want a communist government to erase the one we have. We should have a war. It's need and has been a long time in coming.
