I just look in the bathroom mirror and say to myself, "I don't control climate and there are no experimental tests of climate change mitigation." Give it a try, you'll feel better for it.

An insurance company is suing nearly 200 Chicago-area towns for failing to do more to prevent damages it says are linked to climate change, Reuters’ Mica Rosenberg reports.

Farmers Insurance is asking the communities to return flood claims from the spring of 2013, which caused at least $US218 in losses. The towns should have done more to fortify their sewers and stormwater drains, the group argues. Rosenberg:

The legal debate may center on whether an uptick in natural disasters is foreseeable or an “act of God.” The cases raise the question of how city governments should manage their budgets before costly emergencies occur.

It’s not the first time an insurance company has made such a contention — there were a flurry of climate-change related lawsuits, ultimately dismissed, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina — but experts say we are likely to see more.

Insurance and flood control are well demonstrated ways to adapt to climate change. Nobody has ever successfully demonstrated climate change mitigation; that's how you know it's a hoax.

So 32 years of science NEVER being more than their laughable; 95% certain that the end is near means YOU get to lie to children telling them that science "believes" like YOU do?
"Belief" and support are gone so get up to date;
*Occupywallstreet now does not even mention CO2 in its list of demands because of the bank-funded and corporate run carbon trading stock markets ruled by politicians.
*Canada killed Y2Kyoto with a freely elected climate change denying prime minister and nobody cared, especially the millions of scientists warning us of unstoppable warming (a comet hit).

As for Hillary, well if she runs next term and wins. She will cop the same treatment as Obama just for the fact she is a woman. That's how the mindset of extreme conservatism works, there is no room outside the box. Fear and Paranoia are always the driving force for right wing politics. It's funny how you accuse me of not falling in line with the AGW 'movement' simply because it's a liberal idea, yet your posts prove you blame all the worlds problems on conservatives. Of course, you don't see anything hypocritical there, do you. You say paranoia drives "right wing" politics. Too funny. Who's pushing AGW?
There were a lot of lessons "learnt" in Vietnam. The most important one being, you can't trust Democrats. Libya (Benghazi), Egypt, Syria, Crimea, Ukraine, come to mind.

<quoted text>Not just fruit and vegetables; let's end agricultural subsidies and import controls on all agricultural trade. That way, Asian farmers will have access to markets so they can improve their farms and help feed their people.
To set the facts straight, Asia cannot feed its people now, much less produce enough food to export. Asia is a net food importer. The Chinese recently made a huge deal with a Dutch company that will give China access to grain from South America. Asian agriculture isn't likely to improve either. No. As the environment deteriorates their crop yields will decline, just like our grain output (and U.S. grain farmers are already by far the most efficient producers in the world) will decline as the Great Plains dries into desert.

Climate change has been a visible reality in sub-Saharan Africa for over 25 years now. The Sahara is expanding south into croplands. Overall the trend is toward more desertification worldwide, less food production, rising food prices, and more hungry people.

Australia’s conservative coalition is set to cut more than 90 percent of the funding related to global warming from their budget, from $5.75 billion this year to $500 million, over the next four years.

Environmentalists and leftist politicians in the country protested the move by conservative Liberal Party Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s governing coalition to slash funding for climate programs, arguing such funding for green energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions were necessary to stop global warming.

But Abbott’s government shot back, saying that the country needed to reduce the size of government and improve the economy.

I posted the other day about Australia's tea bagger pm, but the fact is he was elected by default not for his stance on climate. In his first week of office he closed down the government funded climate council ( a group of climate scientists & specialists). A body set up by previous government to advice on all matters of climate change. Within 24 hrs , donations by the millions came in by the Australian public to keep this organisation going and still is today.
He also tried to get rid of the carbon tax 2 times and it was blocked by senate which he does not have the numbers in. So no matter what his personal views are on climate change, the Australian public have the opposite view. Australia still has a carbon tax & it's the highest in the world.

BTW it should be also noted how many countries in the world would the bulk of the population actually support keeping a tax and going against a brain dead conservative leader who wants to drop the tax. That is what is happening in Australia right now.

Yes he won in a landslide but not for his political position it was due to the government in power being unstable changing leaders and infighting. That tea bagger won offering stability not for his ideology.

Still wrong, you said hitlery would be treated like Obozo only she is a woman.Hence the war on women, which is a complete falsehood. The same as plying the race card,a complete falsehood. You progs show your true colors and intentions just by the words you speak.
It's ok for demoncrazies to make racist comments or foul comments about women.I've heard more racist comments come from dems than any other group.

What are you talking about I USED basic Math and Science… I said the U.S. can drop off the map and STILL you cant save a planet it can save itself. MATH 101 more population higher birth rates in US from Dems welfare freebie baby factories born by Medicaid in carbon footprint. The average footprint for people in United States is 20.40 metric tons per person. So when I read the obituaries of the minorities with 6,.8,.12, 16 kids per women WTF do you think that adds up in carbon footprint,. You Dems don’t give a rats A## of that Dem baby factory in carbon footprint because you use Welfare feed them and they will vote for you and LOVE power more the you LOVE the planet and that D#M rescue dog B.S
Now add longer living from newer medicines in U.S and 2nd and 3rd world countries and their high African India birth rates, the PLANET will run out of food weather there climate change or NOT… this IS basic sciences 101…

<quoted text>BTW, it was a Republican who opened China to the world, President Nixon.

Why are you Democrats so uneducated!!!! Nixon in 70s had ZIP to do Chinas products killing US jobs and factories. It was President CLINTION that opened up China with him signing the Trade act with China in 20000 Skippy, which historically lowered the U.S. Import tax that was the buffer in wage protection of foreign wages outdoing U.S. wages.
http://abcnews.go.com/International/story...

In Clintons speech on the southwest lawn he touted how HE spearheaded the Trade act with China and we can sell to them. He was MORE interested in getting China to join the (WTO), World Trade Organization to try and force China to adopt treating Chinese’s workers more fairly. Hear we go again the Dems bleeding heart liberals thought they could stop U.S poverty with there 50s welfare and 50 years later Poverty is worse then ever. Dems didn’t learn from that and again here comes Clinton same Stupid Dem mentality. Clinton also signed the NAFTA in 93 that sent U.S. jobs to Mexico, He NEVER learned from that that and did the SAME thing globally in 2000 with China and caused the Biggest U.S. recession since the great depression. U.S. lost 42,400 U.S. factories from 2000 to 2009 because US factories had two choices being that overnight they can’t compete with Chinas wage Diff. So you either close your doors or TRY and survive and farm work out overseas. All you CNN news reported was US took jobs overseas and NEVER said WHY!!!!!!! Im a scholar on many subjects like this in 1000s of hours in Historical research. Yet you Dems thinks Bush caused the recession HOW!!!! Recession just doesn't drop out of the sky. Something BIG had to happen/change to read ”Made in China”

I think you better do some research before you look so stupid and uneducated following that Kool-Aid BS..

FYI I am Justhefacts and have several years and 1000s of Hours in research and most of that comes from the Government historical sites in FACTS. Gov tracts numbers and data for decades no matter who’s driving the bus...

More than 120 climate-vulnerable countries signed on to the EU vision calling for all countries to be held accountable for their carbon emissions in the future, not just the industrial countries. The U.S., China and India, all for slightly different reasons, refused.
European climate commissioner Connie Hedegaard said she was encouraged by progress overnight, but warned that if the three largest polluters stand fast, "I don't think that there will be a deal in Durban.

It's a strange world when the U.S. is aligning with China and India to block action on global warming," said Jake Schmidt of the New York-based Natural Resources Defense Council.
