P.S. Topix deleted my correction after the broken post. Yes, blame Topix twice for the same post. One for the break, two for the deletion of my corrected post.

Why of all threads does this one stir so much controversy?. We could be on the brink of ww3 and if that happened screw the environment. I mean you guys really need to step back and look at how crazy you all seem.
Of course we should work towards cleaner forms of energy, but make it a choice rather than an order. People will eventually, of free will, choose cleaner energy, so the environmental gestapo should just chill.

I think more than anything the 2 party system holds us back from honest conversations about real everyday issues. Everything liberals do is wrong to conservatives and vice versa. These divisions have almost come to the point of each party asking their members, are you with us or against us?. We should be having these long topics over the issues that effect us right now, with the same amount of vigor.

My opinion is some people are hard wired to need a cause to fight for. If they don't have a cause, they get lethargic. Combine that with the fact its an easy issue to be in favor of, I mean all the hot chicks are environmentalists right?. This I believe is the wrong cause to push too hard on. If a cause hurts American jobs, it hurts American families. We just aren't in the financial position anymore to hurt ourselves financially.

Remaining Climate Blame "Believers"; You are the new neocons.
Science has never been 100% certain so why are you "believing" it will be a crisis and believing in what; that it "could be" a crisis because that is all science "believes"?
Why are you so eager to "believe" 32 years of 95% certainty is proof it will be a crisis? If science can't say it, nobody can say it no matter how much you wanted this misery to have been real.
Deny that!

If you want to know who is hard wired, take a look in the mirror. There is only one consistent message in here and everywhere else, man is contributing to climate change and that is bad for us and the planet. That is as simple as it gets, on the other hand you hard wired guys are so addicted to cheap subsidised fossil energy that you actually become the spokesperson for it. Not even blinking an eye on what it will cost you and your children down the road. It will make paying an extra dollar a gallon fuel tax as a way of changing your energy lifestyle seem like loose change. So while fossil is allowed to keep going without penalty how many of us choose the extra cost for clean. Certainly none of you deniers would do anything until it costs you more to play dirty. Which is the whole point of putting a price on carbon. If you want to believe that half a dozen extreme weather events every year is cheaper than doing nothing then I'm sorry you are intellectually bankrupt.

We, being the majority. Every scientific academy on the planet is dependent upon some level of govt funding. And every govt (almost), on the planet is dependent upon tax revenue , heaped upon the becks of the populace. You believe politicos, you really are incredibly stupid, a gullible moron. Think about it. Can you think of anything in your short and ignorant life , that the govt has done , that does not fall in to the category of abject failure? Be honest,(at least to yourself), everything they touch, they destroy. God almighty, just look at what these morons have done to health care. If that don't scare you, you should join the marine corps infantry division. Why do so many of them have law degrees? Simple. They are that sliver of society that will do ANYTHING for money and power. ANYTHING. They know they will spend their live engaged in nefarious activities that will enrage the masses, so they wish to be protected. Then they use the law to screw you some more. And they intentionally provoke division to keep your mind off of what they are doing, to distract you. Moron. It's easy to see you are brainwashed and /or ignorant of reality.
Go soak your teabags. You hav e no clue.
