The reason most people don't believe in climate change mitigation or the theory that man made CO2 is causing catastrophic climate change is simple; there's never been an experimental demonstration of climate change mitigation. People believe in things they see, feel and hear; not in blue sky hair growth tonic sold by politicians.

Usually, yes. Shipyards, train shops, cigarettes. When was the last time anyone died from atmospheric greenhouse gas or a 1 or 2 degree rise in median temperature? The looming "disaster", if you can call it that, is contrived and exaggerated. There's no tangible threat to a single individual. Property, maybe. Overall, an increase in CO2 and median temperature would be a good thing. I know of one plant, in particular, that thrives on an artificially enriched CO2 environment. It's become a cash crop in more than one state.
I'm still waiting for that DC that states, "Industrial Disease" as the cause of death.
What does a specific illness to a single individual have to do with global warming. LOL Your logic has something to desire. We are concerned with the effects of global warming. Rising temperatures, rising seas, melting ice, changing growing seasons, loss of habitat, increased drought in some areas, increased severity of storms, loss of species, for starters. The result of several degrees of global warming could result in the death of millions.

Bull-shit. When it happens, and it inevitably will happen, it will be a gradual process. Storms may increase in some areas but decrease in others. Growing seasons will almost universally lengthen, increasing world food supplies. Hopefully, any species that are lost will be that curious breed of alarmists who talk as if Lucifer's Hammer is five days away.

You have no clue.Of course you have nothing to worry about. Just let the future generations correct our mistakes. It is their problem anyhow, not ours.

I read that book!
Good example of who is going to survive and who isn't.
World War Z, the book, also show's how inept the world's leaders are and again who will survive.

A hint: only those that believe in self responsibility.

"The reason most people don't believe.........", should be,
"The reason most people, who love Rush Limpberger, conservatives & re-pubic-lick-uns, & haven't learned science, don't believe.........".

Catastrophic events are one thing, but a gradual, almost imperceptible, change is less difficult to cope with than loud mouthed liberals. To them, personal responsibility is mean spirited and selfish. If the government doesn't mandate a course for humanity, they'll all just sit there, smoking their pot, twiddling their thumbs, while the ocean washes them and their driftwood huts away. Even if it does take hundreds of years.

Who will survive? The ones who cooperate with each other. The macho gun toting individualists will not be welcome. Responsibility goes further than wrapping yourself in the flag and spreading hate to those who do not believe like you do. You got where you are on the shoulders of those who paved the way. No man is an island.
