Would you buy a lotto ticket if that was your predicted chance of winning or would you say I'm not 100% convinced!

Those who believe the scientists in CAGW also believe that scientists forecast a >95% chance that the sun WILL rise in the East tomorrow morning. Well folks, someone should break the news to you; like CAGW... it Ain't gonna happen.

You obviously don't understand liberals. Just as most liberals don't understand conservatives. As a 'centrist' I condemn you both.

How stupid of them. I gather that, as a 'true conservative' you promote slavery?

and give away most of their money
Lots of conservatives give away a lot of their money. Rupert Murdoch spends a lot to control and direct the media with nothing to show for it (except Faux News). The Koch Brothers spend a lot to try to influence the political response to AGW. He is unlikely to recoup any of that becuase the response is inevitable.

because "they didn't build it".
Well, that quote is accurate but no 'because'. We ALL benefit from the infrastructure that is built 'in common' and even when you inherit a lot of money, you are not 'building it' yourself when you organize a group of employees to do the work.

But your kind of tea party conservative uses demagoguery over reason, so I doubt if you will understand the role of 'cooperation' as well as 'competition'.

"In Washington, President Obama’s science adviser, John P. Holdren, cited increased scientific confidence “that the kinds of harm already being experienced from climate change will continue to worsen unless and until comprehensive and vigorous action to reduce emissions is undertaken worldwide.”

I thought the president's oath of office was to protect America's security above all else. Do you think he should ignore this one and take his advice from Sarah Palin instead

I personally don't care much for Palin, but she seems smarter than Gore. She probably has a much smaller personal carbon foot print, too, than that fat swine eating clod.

Did Holdren then turn to Obama and say, "Mr. President, you could do your part by keeping your family vacations to one plane.

And your little dog too."

No?

Didn't think so.

I don't care much for Palin either, but I did have a bit of admiration for her because she seemed uncontrollable by D.C. standards.

15 years of continued and increased fossil fuel use but no warming to match the models:

There's never been an experimental test of climate change mitigation or man made catastrophic climate change. That's how you can tell climate mitigation is a hoax and man made catastrophic climate change is pseudoscience.

It's not capitalism that causes wealthy to take more than their fair share. If that were the case, then all the dictatorship countries should have a healthy upper middle class. Instead, just two classes, rich and poor. Political class and peasants. We are becoming more like that because government and big corporations have engaged to rig the system with crony capitalism and are driving out the middle class and small businesses and Obama's policies are making it worse.
In the 2009-2010 period, a time of modest economic growth, the top 1 percent of U.S. earners captured 93 percent of all the income growth in the country.
Got that? Now compare it to how the mega-rich made out during the Bush upswing years of 2002 to 2007. During that time, the top 1 percent of earners captured just 65 percent of all the income growth.
That means the rising tide has lifted fewer boats during the Obama years -- and the ones it's lifted have been mostly yachts.

Duh! But it has little to do with who is President. It is Congress that controls the spending and formulates the laws. It started with the philosophy of the conservatives who contend that helping the affluent trickles down to the rest. Or perhaps the "Oat and Sparrow" theory. Feed the horse good oats and the sparrows can pick what passes through....

Actually, it's Obama who's ignoring the "reputable" scientists he claims to support.

The global warming propaganda machine started way back in 1988 when James Hansen appeared before Congress with his first dire predictions.

Read how then Congressmen Tim Wirth admits with pride how they scheduled the hearing on typically the hottest day of the year, and opened all the windows in the hearing room the night before the make the room 'hot' for theatrics.
