>>So here's the state of play of climate science a third of a century into the global warming hysteria. They don't have a reliable baseline of global temperature measurements that would allow them to say what is normal and natural and what isn't. Their projections about future warming are demonstrably failing to predict the actual data. And now they have been caught, yet again, fudging the numbers and manipulating the graphs to show a rapid 20th-century warming that they want to be true but which they can't back up with actual evidence.
A theory with this many holes in it would be have been thrown out long ago, if not for the fact that it conveniently serves the political function of indicting fossil fuels as a planet-destroying evil and allowing radical environmentalists to put a modern, scientific face on their primitivist crusade to shut down industrial civilization.
But can't we all just stop calling this "science" now?

I like this story, a technology break through. Locking carbon emissions from coal fired power stations into building bricks. Something the coal king and his gang should have been working on themselves instead of trying to work on Obama to just let it go.

This is good. Like making lemonade from lemons. We have over 300 years of coal here in the US. If we can sequester it in building materials that would be great.

Once again, not at all relevant to anything being discussed.

CO2 isn't a poison; it's vital for life.
Water is poison if you drink too much.

Oxygen is poison if your lungs take in too much.

Anything can have the effect of poison if the quantity is great enough.

Science is poison to Brain_Dead.

So let's say the doctor said you may have cancer and that the doctor tells you he has a treatment that is very costly and at the end of the treatment, you will still have cancer, but you will have 1/20,000 less cancer than before. Would you take the treatment?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =Zw5Lda06iK0XX
No. There's not much sense is getting treatment if it doesn't do ANY good. My hypothetical assumed that the cancer was treatable and survivable, as colon or thyroid cancer are, IF CAUGHT SOON ENOUGH.

Your group thinks a person should wait for a cure for cancer before getting treatment for what we can fight with treatment now.

Not at all. The discussions are based on the conjecture that the science is all wrong without presenting any convincing information that it is so. With that kind of dialog, it is impossible to have a meaningful discussion.

CO2 is a GHG. Man is releasing much CO2 into the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels. The Earth is gaining heat. Those are the facts.

Continued..

The pH of oceans is decreasing with the absorption of CO2; ocean acidification has deadly consequences.

Warming seas are rising; shoreline people are in grave danger.

Global climate is changing; planetary life is facing a man-made exctinction of the first kind.

To be continued...

He's saying we're not 100% certain, so let's do nothing.
It might be different if his doctor told him "You MIGHT have colon cancer." Or if the doctor said "You could have thyroid cancer." He might be able to make a decision then.
I say he might. I don't know.
He wants us to kill our kids and grandkids with CO2 poisoning. He says he cares about HIS kids.
He might. I don't know.
Cool. This is a good song to sing...

LOL. You look foolish because you did not read it all:

Kerry Emanuel, a professor of meteorology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology who edited the PNAS paper, said that "changing steering patterns are only a part of the whole problem of how and whether hurricane risk may change in a particular place."

"One must also account for changing locations and times of storm formation, and changing storm frequency and intensity," Emanuel said. "These can very much change the landscape of hurricane risk, so one should be careful in drawing overall conclusions about such risk from just one piece of this problem."

P.S. I see now you have no understanding of AGW. Can you afford to learn a little?

And you would think the recent years' plateau on temperatures would be seen as a good thing too.

But not to the warmists. There is no good news to them.

We're still doomed!(they wail)

i did read it all, dumb dumb!!!
And you have the stupidity to counter by citing the above portion of the article!!!!! LMAO

After all, it's bozos like you demanding to the world that man made co2 is the sole reason for climate change! Lol

Psssst....co2 is a minor trace gas which man is only partly a contributor.

But don't let that sway you from your blind faith, lemming!!

This is a denier sample in ignorance.

You have nothing to say but name calling, LOL. Can you afford to learn a little?

Today 90 million tons of manmade ghg emssions, equivalent in energy to 400,000 hiroshima's every day are increasing the CO2 concentration beyond 400 ppm, which used to be 280 ppm when the industrial revolution.

"We have five minutes before midnight," warned Rajendra Pachauri, whose organisation will this month release the first volume of a new assessment of global warming and its impacts.

Won't you come back with more name calling like the other deniers aka whitewashers?
