Your climate change belief is cruel and needless fear mongering of CO2 death threats to billions of children and you love it! You hate Humanity, you hate your life and you want to drag us all down with you in your miserable existence.

All you GW profiteers should consider what's really going to happen . You know , with certainty ? You sweat the small stuff .( Damn , it's hot today . Damn CO2!!) But consider . The end is certain , and it's already known fact . One day in the distant future , The Sun will expand in a giant fireball as it runs out of fuel . The earth will be consumed along with all of it's natural and artificial satellites .( 3-4 billion yrs ) Think it's hot now ?? By that time the earth will have been unlivable for ANY life forms as we know them . Say, maybe 500 mil. to 1 billion yrs from now . Humans will NOT escape to another world . No planets in our own system are habitable and our best efforts won't help. Not to mention that it is absolute nuclear powered folly to believe that we will continue to exist that long without wiping our own selves out . No success will be achieved in the worthless quest of inter-system or intergallactic travel . Forget that . The point ? Easy . For all practical purposes the earth , nor it's human life forms , will have ever even existed .( Arrrggghhh !!!) " Why didn't we save the planet ?) HaHa !! No record will be kept in any archive anywhere in the universe . We simply never existed . And here you all are , wasting your one puny live , chasing a folly that in the end will never have even existed , your life served no purpose . So why don't you give it up , relax and concentrate on something really important , like fishing , cold beer , women , fast cars , staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer ,... And not whether the dirty human race is going to put too much CO2 in the air ? There is nothing to achieve .. What ? Short lived notoriety ? Nope . That will never have existed . Having it your way and making it tough on billions of other people ? Why ? It's not gonna get you into heaven , God won't like what you did .( I don't believe that religious dogma , I just put it out ther to please the ones who do ) Am I trying to rain on your parade ? NO!! Just pointing out the futility of human endeavor . After all , in the end we are mere failed species that never existed . Not even a legend for alien chatter . Same fate for all the aliens too !! HaHa !!
Now that you all have something new to think about ,( A certainty ), I believe I'll crack open a beer , smoke a joint , and go for a nice walk with my old lady around the lake . Why ? So at least MY life had meaning , even if all of yours didn't .

On Sept. 22,2012, tho air temperatures weren't as low as now, Arctic northern sea ices were readily increasing AND filling in the raggy taggy edges(& even internally trapped clear waters) of the Arctic ice pack. As the sea ices progressed southward, the ices met more & more unusually solar heated Arctic waters that had been solar heated for months & still were solar heating, because they normally have been universally iced in decades past.
As the raggy taggy sea ices tried to ice further south, they semi-circularly developed, showing that Arctic solar waters were progressively solar heated in the southerly direction!

It is very remarkable, even stunning, the edges of the raggy taggy Arctic sea ices conforming to the southerly directionally warmed Arctic waters! The Arctic sea ices act just like a progressive contour map of warming Arctic waters, showing a secondary effect of AGW predicted science & excess Earth-captured solar energy.

What are the edges of the raggy taggy Antarctic sea ices showing, then - besides the highest September average Antarctic sea ice extent (19.1702 million sq km) of the satellite era?

So now the deniers who spent the last five years telling us that the increase in Arctic sea ice post 2007 meant something (it didn't) are now going to spend the next five years telling us that the increase in Antarctic sea ice means something?

It doesn't.

In a warming Antarctic, it's an anomaly.

Maybe around the end of the decade when the Arctic sea is ice free and the Antarctic sea ice crashes like the Arctic sea ice did this year, they'll realise they aren't suckers- the ones who aren't liars that is.

The Antarctic is showing the same decrease in ice VOLUME as the Arctic, but it is WINTER in the Antarctic. A time of no sun and therefore no impact from ice cover (which is only up a minuscule amount, while the thickness has more than halved.

Something that was predicted to happen for a decade or so by the IPCC and AGW theory. The summer extent (which IS relevant) is approximately the same.

FIZZLED Blast from the Past:
krusty wrote:

'krusty' & other toxic topix AGW deniers squawked good & loud when Arctic sea ice extent had (as krusty said)...... reached a 7-year high. Of course, he never mentioned that the thickness of Arctic sea ice was dismally thin, even on March 2, 2012.

While 'krusty' & other toxic topix AGW deniers squawked 'how much sea ice there was', the reality was that early March 2012 Arctic sea ice VOLUME was just UNDER 20,000 cubic kilometers, whereas the AVERAGE 1980-1989 DECADE of Arctic sea ice VOLUME for early March 2012 was ~25,000 cubic kilometers.

Tho 20,000 cubic kilometers of sea ice sounds like a lot, the Arctic sea ice VOLUME reached a low ~3400-3500 cubic kilometers, this last mid-September.

You know already, but 'teddy r stupid' is keeping up with his name.

AGW scientists predicted in 2002, confirmed in 2005 & you have confirmed, albeit late, that Antarctic sea ice would increase:

The Arctic sea ice minimum extent this year was almost 300,000 square miles(twice the area of California) smaller than the previous minimum set in September 2007, which itself was an incredible drop.

litesong wrote:
A stunning performance(actually a non-performance) showing Arctic sea ice NOT piling on, in great amounts of sea ice on the Arctic Ocean, surrounding seas & against landforms.
Called a secondary feedback in AGW, solar energy absorption by historically unrecorded amounts of clear Arctic waters is putting on an incredible show in a non-performing role, well worthy of an Academy Award. With a stoic unchanging face, almost all Arctic waters refuse to ice. Except for the sea ices north of Greenland & Canadian islands, the Arctic ice pack shows a strong resemblance to a semi-circle, strengthening the assumption that Arctic Ocean waters & seas have very strongly absorbed solar energies the last 3 months, due to the rotating Earth variably tilted towards the sun.
Details below:
//////////
\\\\\\\\\\
litesong wrote:
Arctic sea ice extent is a bit greater than the lowest minimum of any other year recorded, either by satellite or submarine data, at 4,377,800 km2 (October 6, 2012). Only the area represented by Pennsylvania in the past day has become sea ice, despite the sun, unseen, from North Pole for ~2 weeks, temperatures above the 80th parallel averaging minus 14 degC for the last three days, & temperatures on landforms surrounding the Arctic Ocean dropping as low as -12degC. Much warmth built up in Arctic waters these past months is resisting its conversion back to sea ice, especially southern Arctic waters which have seen much more solar energy absorbed than northern Arctic clear waters.

This same Arctic Ocean warmth is & will continue to keep Arctic sea ice thinner through the coming winter & even spring. As of October 2, Arctic sea ice VOLUME is ~23% lower than any satellite recorded year AND indications of submarine-detected Arctic sea ice yearly VOLUME.
Yes, the Arctic sea ice VOLUME is disappearing, year to year, quicker than the Arctic sea ice extent.
//////////
litesong continues:
Presently, Arctic sea ice extent is above the lowest of any previous year's minimum Arctic sea ice extent, at 4,477,031 km2 (October 7, 2012). With one week into October, temperatures above the 80th parallel averaging minus 14 degC, normal for the last three days & temperatures on landforms surrounding the Arctic Ocean dropping as low as -12degC, southern Arctic sea ice has increased by smaller than the size of Kentucky in the past day.
Much of that sea ice increase is along the Greenland east coast, altho Arctic ice pack is closer to the Russian islands, Franz Joseph Land & Svalbard, again in the circular pattern mentioned above. Almost all large region southerly Arctic waters, including the Northwest Passage, Northeast passage, waters north of Alaska & waters north of mentioned islands are ice free.

Arctic Ocean warmth is & will continue to keep Arctic sea ice thinner through the coming winter & even spring. As of October 2, Arctic sea ice VOLUME is ~23% lower than any satellite recorded year AND from indications of submarine-detected Arctic sea ice yearly VOLUME.
Downwellings in unusual clear Arctic waters, normally sea ice covered in decades past, have & even now still transport extra solar energy to continental shelf & Arctic Ocean & sea depths.
Yeah, despite the feeble denial efforts of 'steenking piddling diddling middling mudling mudslinger dirtling', a slimy steenking filthy vile reprobate rooting(& rotting) racist pukey proud pig, to discount this thread, this thread is alive.
