Jun 11, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Examiner.com

This is bad news to anyone who cares about animals. A sign reading "Planet Pooch" is visible in the strip mall at 2746 North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago.

Probably the same owners as Pawsh Puppies, terrible reputation, they are not a place to buy a puppy.

Pet stores went out of style a long time ago as educated customers realized what a puppy mill is. Remember the show on Oprah exposing pet stores? If you haven't seen it yet, look at it on You Tube.

Humane, dog loving people do NOT shop at pet stores!

the term puppy mill is just hype --
they get their dogs from the same sources ,......... private individuals and breeders ...... maybe some fat hillbilly women is cranking out Pomeranians or pugapoos
but
the dogs are still dogs --
nothing evil about them --
they all need to go to good homes -- just what would you elitist assholes do with all the so called puppy mill dogs -- kill them all ?

The problem isn't the dogs freak, it is the way the puppies are treated, how the female dogs are kept. If people stop buying puppy mill puppies, then puppy mills are less likely to exist. It doesn't fix the problem though...some people just refuse to treat animals decently...

guess what,......... those same puppies will be kept in cages ,...all day long .......--until their dip shit yuppie 'progressive 'owners come home from work --
-they will spend most of their lives stuck in a small cage ,...
as their Lincoln park trixie owner ,....goes bar hopping and bed hopping ---all over town ---
-- that dog will be turned in to some animal shelter as soon as trixie finds some sucker to marry her
she will move out to the suburbs --- and the little dog will no longer be needed ---
what is worse the so called puppy mill or the new owners -
-- with the little cages and busy lives ,.....
sure the little doggie is cute ---
but trixie really just wants to have a baby
--and once she does -
-kiss the little pouche good bye

These are the same owners as Pawsh Puppies. These jerks owe their landlord thousands of dollars and are being sued so they have to be evicted from their store on Halsted and now they are opening under a different name. Real classy huh definitely not anyone I would want to buy from!

These owners were sued and were found guilty of not paying tens of thousands in rent yet they're responsible enough to take care of little dogs? I put a deposit on a dog which they never paid me back on and now their company "Pawsh Puppies" is out of business--yet they're opening a new store! Click here to see the case:

Not to mention all those customers have no warranty on those dogs bought at "Pawsh Puppies"

If you run a dog "boutique" you hate animals and are gay. There are thousands of loving dogs waiting to be adopted at shelters. The only thing a boutique does is give stupid gimps a chance to buy the latest "Paris Hilton" dog. You people make me sick.

p.s. Don't hate yourself

They are also ignorant. They truly believe that all those puppies come from "loving caring homes" & are hand-raised in someone's kitchen. If they only knew where they really come from. They might as well just pick the pup out of a catalog. It's literally what happens.

Jen H. contact a group called The Puppy Mill Project (info@thepuppymillproject.org) and tell them your story. The are out there on Saturdays protesting Pawsh Puppies aka Planet Pooch.
Apparently this guy was evicted from his Halsted Street store for not paying rent. Lincoln Park wisely did not support him so he changed his store name, got a new store, got arrested for not showing up in court to pay his landlord, filed for bankruptcy and thinks he will succeed. If anyone buys a dog from him or has there dog groomed there(hopefully not) then they are supporting puppy mills.

Okay captain puppy everyone knows that you don't get arrested for not showing up to court to pay a landlord that's considered a civil suit not a criminal suit therefore everything you just said has been discredited what the H#$$ do you know, so freaking stupid it's not even funny by the way that supposed link to the cook county courthouse doesn't even exist so you guys once again our bashing something you don't even know then your coming up with fake propaganda to try to back it up way to go try reading a book next time or maybe try to stop the sweatshops or volunteer your service to a real organization

the puppymill myth - is nothing but propaganda ,....
concocted by the idiots who pretend that their ' high end ' pet stores are better than any one else in town ,....

just a way to limit competition -
it is unethical

just like the dolts that bash walmart --
dot get fooled by the propaganda

Puppy mills are NOT propaganda, you can clearly see the USDA reports on the breeders Pawsh Puppies or Planet Pooch uses. Some of them have over 100 dogs. Can you even IMAGINE being inside a kennel with 100+ breeding dogs? How miserable and nasty it would be?
These dogs are breeding machines. They live like livestock, inside tiny cages with grate bottoms so their shit and piss falls through. They are not quality bred dogs, they have health problems, buyers are ripped off. Once they are done with the breeder dogs they often kill them, even shoot them, what more do you want to know?
Call it a myth one more time and I'm sending you a plane ticket to rural Missouri... where dogs live in breeding sheds in Misery.

The whole "posh" and upscale image is garbage. It's like dressing a pig in pearls. Sad that people fall for it.

If they wanted to be realistic, they would have toothless hillbillies peddling these puppies and they would have photos of the unhealthy, badly-bred parents (often mutts) they came from, and the filthy cages they live in.

Instead they usually have a chandelier, bookcase with windows to hold the pups, and $50 rhinestone collars. Do you have any idea where your puppy came from?

wackamole- if you want to see what a puppy mill breeding bitch looks like after she outlived her usefulness, I can put a picture up as my avatar, showing the way she had to be bandaged after surgery to remove the mammary tumors she developed from being bred so many times. She was 15 years old when I adopted her. She had never been inside a house, never had a bath, yet turned out to be so docile & sweet. I only had her for 7 months, but will never forget her.

I truly hope they legislate pet stores out of business, then the puppy business will be completely unregulated, untaxed, and totally underground. No matter how hard these activists try they will never convince the general public that having a dog as a pet is wrong. If you want a dog you will have to go to the flea market to buy a puppy for $800 out of the trunk of some shady looking individual. And hopefully it won't get sick because you sure won't have any recourse. Good luck trying to find the person who sold you dog. And it's pretty much guaranteed the dogs didn't get vaccinated or wormed.
Maybe you should worry about where your food and clothes from as much as your pets. I guess though it's fine if toddlers make your clothes and your food comes from the places where new strains e coli evolve. But hey none of that stuff is as important as where puppies come from.

Maybe they should regulate the puppy business. I think I can understand your animosity, but it sure sounds like you're either a miller or a backyard breeder. I don't worry about where my clothes come from. I make them. My grandchildren are well fed & well clothed. As of now, most puppy sales ARE done underground by people like you. Get lost. I hope your breeding bitch has to die in order for you to stop your miserable existence.

Sorry violet- I had to rant.
