I agree with both of you in this case. But you are crucifying a man over something while not allowing him to defend himself. I am a convicted sex offender. Trust me, I get trash talked at all the time. However, people look at me as that and not as the innocent man I truly am. They do not know the circumstances surrounding the my conviction. The case was long and I was not getting any younger. There was a plea agreement to prevent a chance at a longer sentence. These are decisions I made that I felt were right at the time. Would I have it to do over, I would have fought harder in court. Nonetheless I defend my actions for my life's choices and would hope that no one would talk trash without my being able to defend myself.
Back to the topic of the page, this is about dating sites. Just as it is difficult to obtain good employment as a felon, it is equally if not more difficult to obtain a relationship. We need to date as well. Do not blame the website and its creators for the actions of the idiots that abuse the sites.(Example - A man beats the woman he meets on the website.) There are legitimate people with felonious pasts that want to meet others like themselves. Give us the chance.

My biggest issue with online dating is that most of the men are not revealing that they are convicted felons. That should be one of the first things that is told. I met a man on POF. I found him amazing, his conversation was great. We meet and shortly after I fell very hard for him and he gave me the impression he fell just as hard for me...but anyway I later found out he had a wife and kid at home and he spent 7 years in prison and later was convicted again for identity theft . He never told me any of this. I decided to look him up because I knew that I wanted something long term and I have two children to think about. Maybe I should have looked sooner, but he was quit the intellectual that I didnít think twice about it. I am disgusted because he didnít give me the chance to decide. He omitted very important things. I deleted my POF account and I am no longer interested in online dating. This experience was devastating.
