A lot of IT residents drive there regularly and that municipality gets the tax revenue. Good for you having the high morals to object to other people ingesting alcohol but they do in large numbers and they aren't going to quit. A vote on LBTD is a good idea. A vote on an ABC Store is an even better idea. Frankly I would like to see IT get an ABC Store. No doubt it would generate a lot of income. The town could use the revenue. I don't know that IT would gain a lot of good restaurants by passing LBTD. Perhaps a few chains might consider locations on the 74 strip but geographically we are close to restaurant row on 74 in Matthews. Chains don't usually build in close proximity to their other locations. True real estate prices on our end of 74 might be a little less than toward Matthews and that might attract some. Again, thanks to those that oppose a vote on LBTD based on Moral grounds. Thanks to those that would vote for LBTD to fill our town coffers so that we can improve IT. Let's have a vote! Good thoughts! I imagine everyone already knows how they will vote, even if Nov seems a long way off. As for those that think we will automatically get topless bars - the vast majority of topless bars don't allow alcohol.

They make most of the "house money" at the bar. They also pay the girls from money generated by the sale of alcohol. They get to keep all their tips whether it is for bringing you a drink, dancing or displaying what mother nature gave them.

I said "vast majority", sure there are some that do. Some are also covers for prostitution. But we're not talking about that are we? The most famous, have truly beautiful women, fine furniture...it's for the protection of the wormen and they get their tips from dancing, not bringing drinks, I think that would be a waitress. You've never been to Atlanta, Miami...?

The town will grow and do just fine, providing that the people that votes do the right thing. VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT OF OFFICE EACH ELECTION. We will have progress to no end. It is having the same people staying in office to show their power over the "little people" what keeps progress down. It doesn't matter what political party you are associated with "DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY INCUMBENTS".

FYI Their aren't any incumbents running in this election. All remaining council members are first term as well.

Many may not know that there is a nice sports pub at the "Extreme Ice Center" in Indian Trail. Its upstairs and it's huge, you can watch the hockey games while you enjoy a favorite beverage and snack...

Whoooo hoooo! We win!!! Finally, I don't have to drive 15-20 minutes to an ABC store. Let's open some more sports bars in IT. Further, come January 2, 2010, no more smoking in the restaurants!! Too good to be true! You can't stop progress!! Just remember all of you tobacco smoking, anti-drinking natives who want to fight for the ol' way: there's always Pageland!

There are two very nice sports bar in Indian Trail, a pub, a pizza place and an awesome Italian rest that all sell beer and wine now and will most definitely add liquor to the menus. I don't look for a flood of chain restaursnts to be here, however, it certainly helps the ones we have.
