Fast food workers demanding 15 dollars an hour? What a joke.

Tell me, why should I have to pay taxes to support the welfare state? Why should I HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR MISTAKES???

If you cannot afford to have children, THEN DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!

Sterilize all people on welfare. Problem solved immediately..........

What are you talking about? What does welfare have to do with fast food workers wanting 15 dollars a hr?

In order to pay ff workers 15.00 / hour the ff owners would have to double the price of everything. That would put most out of business
But wait

Welfare does have to do with fast food workers. Their pay is so insanely low that they can't afford rent and food. Even working a full 40 hour week, even if they work 2 jobs. So they qualify for "welfare" even though they are TRYING to support themselves. The fast-food owners are pulling in record-breaking profits and could easily pay $15.00/ hr, which is what they'd be paying if wages had climbed with inflation. The owners are just too greedy to part with a penny.

So, if the fats food workers get paid $15.00 per hour, what will the cashier at Food Lion want? What about your local Mechanic, HVAC worker, Plumber and Electrician? How much should the starting pay be for the Police, Fire and Paramedics?
If you are willing to pay an untrained, unskilled entry level "Fry Guy" $15 per hour, you will need to pay skilled workers who are trained in something specialized $25 per hour or more. Use your head.

Of course skilled workers should earn more. You seem to be buying into the idea that CEOs, owners, etc., MUST get an astonishing amount of money per year. When the US economy was thriving, wages were much more equal. Now, the CEO makes many millions, while the worker is impoverished. This is bad for the economy (most people can't buy stuff), and is totally unnecessary. The CEO can be plenty rich while the specialists down to unskilled workers still earn enough to live on.

Unskilled workers are just that UNSKILLED. Therefore their goal should be to better themselves through education, job training and experience. They are not owed anything.

This should start when they are young, not when they are in their 20's.
